Charles Vallow Autopsy & Toxicology Reports
By - alienkweenn
I’m so sad that Alex isn’t around to face what he did to this poor man who from what I have heard did nothing but provide for and love Lori and her family unconditionally. He seemed like such a genuine person.
I suspect that if Alex were still alive he would have taken on the blame for everything here and it possibly would have worked to stop anyone from looking too hard.
I think it might be a good thing that he died when he did so that way Lori and Chad will actually face some justice.
I hadn’t thought of it that way. Maybe you’re right.
That's a very good point!
I completely agree I' am glad they alone will be facing this all when who knows but at some point
It's good actually
I don't want to sound mean but he just received his death penalty without a jury. Either way he can't hurt anyone anymore..In the end justice was served.
Straight through the heart, Alex didn't need to shoot him again when he went down, Charles died almost instantly after the first shot.
Lori needs to fry for this one too.
He was shot twice, right? That’s what gets me. He was probably going to die after the first anyhow, but murderers always go for an extra. Morbid as it is…
yeah. first was to the stomach, and went into his lung. second was right to heart, and was apparently at a downward angle, indicating the shooter was standing over him. so that soulless motherfucker took another shot to make sure charles was finished off after he was already down. god it makes me so angry that alex will never have to face up to what he did
I thought chest through back — I might need to read it again. I hate to say it, but people always say to “play dead” in situations like this, but if someone is set on killing you, more often than not they will do more than is necessary. This is awful.
She needs to fry the most. She’s the epitome of the black widow.
Also I had no idea his legal first name was Leland. ❤️
Injuries to his body, hands and arms sound like he was hit with the bat then hit the ground with his knee. Perhaps then shot while on his knees, followed by a second shot when he fell back and was laying on the ground.
With the ME report, why wasn't Alex charged with murder?! There should be some kind of negligence charges brought against the investigators handling the case.
I think the whole world agrees with you 👍
Was anyone fired?
Or at least a checks & balance type system for determining if charges are appropriate
I just made a big comment above about this. It’s frigging terrifying that this happened!
This poor man he did not deserve this he seemed like a really decent guy
Nothing could save him.
A lot could have saved him!
Can someone explain to me how they rated this as self defense until they HAD to do something? I’m not anti police at all. I just can’t understand. By the police own admission, they say that none of their statements lined up. They knew right away he was shot more than once and one time after Charles was down. I can’t understand this and it makes me feel so unsafe in my community if cops are really this lazy. Can I get some more insight? Thanks gang. I’m not trying to trash anyone on purpose. I think people on Reddit here know me better than that. Well, I may trash Lori and Chad but hey! ;)
But once an error in judgement is made there are both internal to self self interest and communal threat bias that will be operating in people. Add to these two forms of bias a cognitive bias to disregard data that does not support what you've already decided and accept only data that supports your conclusion you have lots going against accepting challenge to a conclusion already made.
This has to be a more commonly happening than we would like to think about it seems. The more crime cases I follow it does seem there are some crazy mishaps. That’s seems like a lame word for me to use. I guess I’m not comfortable blatantly accusing yet, but I can’t wait to hear their side of the story in the trial.
Good reason to challenge things as early as possible in a process that's for sure!
Question: Was it always considered a homicide? Do they consider it a homicide even when they determine that the individual was killed “in self defense”? Or was Charles’ death categorized differently before Lori & Chad were arrested?
They had it categorized as a homicide, and were investigating it as second degree. During one of the police camera replays I saw it on their paperwork-which the shoulder cam showed.
Good catch, I didn’t know that
Yes, homicide just means his death was caused by another person, no matter how it happened.
Murder means it was an unjustified killing.
Interesting distinction. I though I had read that they are now recognizing Charles’ death as a murder but I may have mixed my cases up
The autopsy would not say murder though.
That makes sense.
RIP Charles. You deserved way better than this. May justice reign.
the hits just keep coming emotionally for the family...and YET the cases have really gone no where. I think of them all everyday, and how it must be so painful going about their day to day and then having to see this type of stuff on the news, in headlines, on social media etc. Sending love out to Kay Kresha Larry Colby and many more who knew and loved Charles so much :(
This brought me to tears it is so sad.
I didn't see the toxicology report just something that shows the things they check for. So we should assume none of those things were present ?
According to East Idaho News, yes. His tox report was negative.
It’s easy to miss, but at the top of the last page is the subheading ‘Detailed Findings’. It states that there weren’t any positive results for any of the tests they ran.
Does anyone know if LE was actively investigating this, or if it was just picked back up at some point? (i.e. when Alex died, when Chad was arrested…)
this may be a super dumb question but who is LE?
Not a dumb question. Law Enforcement.
How does the second shoot come about? It says through his left stomach and it comes out his left shoulder? Was Alex holding the gun low? Or was this the second shot Assholex took after Charles was already down?
