Is Harry Wilson still out?

CJVCarr

Fulham piss me off. It's only because of Mitrovic and the fact they drawed us, but I don't like them.

kingkloppynwa

That villa game was one of the worst ive ever seen

tony220jdm

I love how Gerrard speaks he knows what’s wrong and is trying fix things but obviously being a manager is more then just words

BluishHope

Stevie buying some more time in Birmingham, edging Frank to that sacking.

GeorgeLFC1234

That was a shit game, glad to see Stevie win but feels more like Southampton playing dreadful then villa playing well

lordkyanr

lack of games does something

alicomassi

Not one boring Forest game this season lol

karnnumart

Guess they fucking bankrupt if they relegated. There is no going back

BluishHope

Very reminiscent of Leeds in the previous seasons

BuffaloCorrect5080

So awkward watching Stevie going round hugging his players after the game, only Emi Martinez looked like he wanted anything to do with him. A lot of pretty obvious dislike verging on hatred, he's on a hiding to nothing there.

Architect22

That Villa game was awful, Jesus. 0 quality in either side.

Jaja6996

How was that not high foot

stevieG08Liv

very early but looking like Redemption season for Marco Silva after his failures at Everton and Watford. He built a very good Fullham so far

forceghost187

Love bread

qweatypue

this villa match ref must have a steel ball

Redhawk911

Been lurking in the Villa sub, geez they do not like Stevie one bit.

ryodiUK

He replaced their local hero as manager and has been backed with a lot of money and so far he hasn’t lived up to the hype. Coutinho has been a bit of a bust as well as usually happens when managers sign their old teammates.

Jaja6996

Villa are just not a great watch I get why they don’t want him also the sacking of Dean wasn’t popular

Redhawk911

Ah true, hope Stevie can turn them around

catchingfoxes

His tactics are a bit old school for my taste

ConflictMArx

I've said it before but it's a damn shame he didn't stick with the youth here and learn under Klopp and his staff the new type of dynamic, modern football. Instead it seems he's still taking his cues from his days under GH and RB. Great managers who I think the game has passed by, both tactics and man management wise (perhaps less so in MM with GH but my point stands)

Ningen121

I don't think they would care about tactics as long as they get the 3 points.

Goodbye_megaton

Yeah you get the idea with the talent and flair they have in attack that they should be more open and dynamic but they’re just not

Redhawk911

I’ve barely seen their games but their hatred is strong

Silantro-89

Forest losing to the other two promoted sides at home would be a bad look. Maybe naive that I rate Steve Cooper as a manager but the amount of new players in there surely must not be ideal & add a lot of pressure around the club to stay up.

taf3991

considering they were winning both games as well one by 2-0 it doesn't bode well that's for sure

agntkay

Just noticed Forrest don't have a shirt main sponsor? Looks nice

superchristopherism

Is this a club thing? Surely a PL team could find a shirt sponsor..

PlayerAteHer

I remember for years Barca would never have a sponsor because they didn't want anything besides the stripes and the badge on their kit. Then eventually they ended the tradition by allowing UNICEF to have their logo on the shirt, but it wasn't a sponsor as they were not paying for it. I always thought that was class and would have loved Liverpool to have a sponsor less shirt someday, but I guess with the cash on the table that will never happen.

rithsv

> UNICEF to have their logo on the shirt And then they had Qatar...

PEEWUN

The UNICEF logo was only to give the fans the time to subliminally adjust to having shirt sponsors.

malushanks95

Damn, what is with Forest blowing up leads like it’s nobody’s business?

KDLIV

By the way Fuham scored 3 goals in 6 mins

throwaway_oli

Villa fans are an odd bunch though. At least the online fans. They seem to be set on hating Gerrard and a few players like McGinn, Digne, Konsa and Coutinho to the point where they legit look like they want their team to lose, so they can feel right in their opinion about the mentioned people lol. I get why the lack of confidence comes from, but the last couple of matches they are actually playing well, solid in defense and eager in attack, even if they don't exactly create an endless amount of exciting attacks.

BluishHope

Can you blame them? They breathe Birmingham air every day

con10001

Honestly there was some of that on here at times during the last few weeks. A small minority of people seemed genuinely happy when we would concede so they could have the smug satisfaction of saying they told us so about a certain player we did or didn't get, or commenting "we're finished" because they can't process negative emotions maturely, so they need the small dopamine hit you get by commenting something silly.

Redhawk911

Haha 100%. I was watching the game and reading their sub and it’s not really coherent. Well. That could be said about this subs matchthreads too. Fans are an odd bunch of people sometimes

Mad_Piplup242

Ref is playing with fire in the Villa/Saints game at the moment letting so many fouls go Shit is gonna start getting rough if the score stays like this

hyperactiv3hedgehog

ref just letting coutinho get murdered by thousand fouls off the ball

taf3991

proper bizarre because he's been blatantly fouled a couple of times and gone over both times, If the ref isn't giving a foul why isn't he giving yellows for diving haha?

WillDaThrilll13

Holy balls did Forest just give up?

mentalitymidgets420

Palhinha would have been the perfect Fab backup

Fat_unker

And they said no midfielder under 60m would improve the team

WillDaThrilll13

Fuckin hate that refs assume possession=advantage, Villa just went 40yds backwards and this moron played advantage

ioniums

so many fouls in the Villa game lol

RobbotheRed

What a goal Fulham

KDLIV

GOAL FULHAM

auurevoir

Bailey is awful.

SardoChirdorem

Villa don't looka as bad as people are making them, they just seem severly short of confidence.

hyperactiv3hedgehog

most of their losses are close ones, football is bad at times because the balance is off

GeorgeLFC1234

They’ve been controlling the game well just lack inspiration in the final third

taf3991

weird though because on paper their attack is by far their strong point yet its chopped and changed so often and atm very rarely is working.

Mad_Piplup242

Which is a complaint that can be leveled at plenty of clubs I think the issue with Villa is that they are sort of stuck in a limbo where they aren't a bad team but they aren't a particularly great one either

Mad_Piplup242

Yelling shoot at Luiz haha class

Android17_MVP

Nice one Ramsey

KDLIV

![gif](giphy|gKlEKox5gMH8Qayals|downsized) GOAL VILLA (1)-0 SOUTHAMPTON RAMSEY

WillDaThrilll13

Commentator is off his rocker saying they should've disallowed that, he literally just stands there until the defender plays it to him

GeorgeLFC1234

Couldn’t understand why that was even in question

taf3991

Seems like VAR are absolutely desperate to rule any goal out. Literally just looking at nothing replayed about 50 times haha

FreedumbHS

Southampton have defensively improved quite a lot over the last season and a half but they have declined massively going forward, it seems. Not sure what's going on with that

AdamW142

half an hour in and not a single shot on target between them. I for one, am shocked at this stat.

taf3991

Watching Mcginn is like watching Milner haha, both just run into players and constantly give fouls away needlessly. Bailley's end product is dire as well. Mad how they have quality like Ings and Buendia on the bench yet they seem to have no creativity haha

Sifan2

Milner is learning his craft, plenty of time to max that potential brother

taf3991

true mate haha

Similar-Wolverine-10

We really could have used neco to give Trent some rest now and then. Wish we could've convinced him to stay

VirgilCanDijk

Neco was terrible at RB and is much better in a back 5. Think people forget how shaky he was for us just because he's looked better in a system that suits him. I wouldn't start him over Trent even with Trents terrible form

taf3991

Is Calvin Ramsay gonna be good enough to play instead of Trent though? He's played 1 full season in Pro football and had a 20% win rate. Also signed him injured knowing he wasn't gonna get any pre season, still hasn't trained yet and we're nearly in October. I agree Neco isn't amazing but he also isn't 'terrible' he's a mid-bottom half PL RB. And as a back up that's the standard you're normally gonna get tbh. I think we may have been better keeping him for one more season because he'd be guaranteed to have started all domestic cup games, a couple CL group games and home games to promoted teams at least in the PL. I certainly wouldn't 'drop' Trent for him but we 100% could rest Trent in certain games for him without it effecting us much at all. The one thing that's strange to me is Klopp was very vocal earlier this year about how TAA and Robbo have played so much football and how it's unsustainable for them to be playing 50+ games a season every year in such a demanding position. So we decide to sell Neco and bring in an inexperienced injured teenager.

seamushoo4

He’s been in training recently, should be back in October (Ramsey)

taf3991

He hasn't took part in any first team training mate, Klopp said he's close but considering we signed him 3 months ago and he hasn't trained once it'll be a while before we see him playing.

seamushoo4

https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/matip-and-jones-liverpool-training-ahead-newcastle-clash He’s back on the pitch in training

taf3991

Yeh doing individual work but just on grass haha, He hasn't trained once with the first team mate, I'm not making it up haha. Klopp on September 2: "Calvin Ramsay is still out but really getting closer and closer. For him it was something with his back, something to do with age and growing and these kind of things. He didn't train now properly with us, but he gets closer." That's what Klopp said a week after the article you've linked.

seamushoo4

That photo was over 2 weeks ago (Aug 29th). I’m willing to bet, as per klopps latest injury updates, that most of the lads will be back shortly after intl break, and that includes Ramsey

taf3991

Im just stating a fact that he hasn’t trained for us yet 😂😂

Mad_Piplup242

It's a nice idea but why on earth would he have stayed on the off chance that Trent needed a rest/was out of form The kid wanted to play as much as he could, we could never have given him that

taf3991

We played 63 game last season he played 8 games for us and went on loan in Jan haha. If we kept him he'd make 15 appearances minimum and probably more given Trent's form. Trent can't play every game which is evident from watching him recently Klopp was also very vocal about needing to start resting Robbo and Trent more so he'd be guaranteed minutes. If he wanted to go to play week in week out that's fair enough, but people seem to just say that with no actual evidence of if he's said that or not haha

Mad_Piplup242

He has literally said that he wants to play football “Right now, I just want to play football week in and week out, I want to play as much as possible and gain as much experience as possible, and so far it has definitely helped me." This was during his loan last season... so do with that what you will

taf3991

If he said that then fair enough I had not seen that, although saying that it's a pretty generic comment haha. I just think this season he'd be guaranteed a lot more playing time than he has already, inc champs league football and some good potential cup runs. As well as playing in a top quality team. I think if we wanted him to stay he'd of been happy enough to do so. I have no issue with him leaving I more have issue with letting him go to bring in an injured teenager that's relatively inexperienced. Because Trent needs resting at times this season and Klopp said that him self last season. It just seems strange to me

Similar-Wolverine-10

No I definitely understand why he left and it was almost definitely the right choice for him. I just wish we could've convinced him to be a backup. I definitely don't think he's better than tsimikas, and we have convinced him to take a backup role.

Hoodxd

I love me some advertisements during the game

kmohame2

Cricket vibes.

![gif](giphy|kHZ7RWTyvCzZBZcKcP|downsized) GOAL! FOREST (1) - 0 FULHAM AWONIYI

pearlbullets

I would watch an optional feed with a camera on Stevie for the entire 90 minutes.

LR95-LFC

Hassenhuttl looks like he’s dressed up as a Blackjack dealer

alicomassi

Stevie with the same midfield again. Hope he can force them into form because if it doesn’t work again tonight he might get the sack

Android17_MVP

Gerrard masterclass coming up 👍

makemydame

It's a shame NF/F isn't being shown. I think it will be a 'better' game to watch

emre23

For real Villa vs Southampton is such a boring fixture

makemydame

I wouldn't say boring considering the managerial situation. Just both other teams have played well so far this season

qweatypue

no game this week feelsgoodman

YerDadsBurnerAccount

What’s the craic with the layout of time? Fuck I thought Forest were up 20-0 against Fulham for a split second.

malushanks95

One goal from each of their new signing 😂

malushanks95

It would be unfortunate and funny if Forest go down after spending so much this summer.

alicomassi

Good on them mate. Look at Norrich every other year coming up and going straight down not even putting up a fight. Might as well take your chance.

malushanks95

Yeah I would really like for them to stay up, don’t wanna see Neco and Taiwo getting relegated.

makemydame

I think they've played some good football so far
