8u11etpr00f

Do our signings live as rent free on other team's subs as much as Richarlison's has here?

nicolascagevampire

Had two job interviews today, don't think it went well. Didn't check reddit and out of nowhere Mo signed da ting. I'm so happy. Thank you Mo. Thank you agent Gini. :)

whoaaa_O

MY BODY READY FOR THE NEW SEASON. LET'S GO SALAAAAH

Craft-Superb

Anyone know if the store usually does discounts on the home kit when the season starts? Want to buy a Mo jersey but £100 is a lot right now

TheLimeyLemmon

I'll be honest, I really did think the Mo ship had sailed. I'd not been pessimistic at all, but i did think at the end of the season there just was no concrete indication anything had progressed what felt like so many false dawns from the rumour mills before. God I'm so happy. Probably more happy than I can even comprehend right now. Here's to more memories with our legendary Egyptian King!

JokeSalty

This makes me think that we’ll genuinely go all out for Bellingham. We no longer need to sign a Mo replacement next summer so our funds can be focussed onto Jude

Jaja6996

By the sound of what Joyce said it pretty much is this basically saying now with Mo done we can focus on a midfield player next year

Craft-Superb

Best part of Mo staying is he can now establish himself as the greatest PL forward of all time. Another golden boot or two and another major trophy (pl or CL) and there’s argument to be made

Craft-Superb

Breaking the wage structure for a player like Mo is a signal of intent. If you come here and succeed you will be rewarded. You hear that Jude?

TheLimeyLemmon

It also still feels very reasonable. 350's the new ceiling, but we certainly don't look like we're interested in courting signings who want that, unlike a lot of other clubs in the top 6. Mo's getting it because for all involved it makes sense, and he's exceptionally proven. And we reward it.

Craft-Superb

Wow what a relief extending Salah. Now we can focus on other priorities and we can play this season without that shadow hanging over us. As Jurgen said I still think the best is yet to come from Salah and in 3 years we’ll be extending him again. With this he can make himself an LFC legend. I’ll be the first to admit I’ve been a bit frustrated recently with the way our club handles contract and wages but this made me feel a lot better and realize just trust the people in charge.

risingstar3110

Salah's staying is the best news. Like his playing style, tricky, good ball control in close space, and can pick an assist, gonna fit the more pacey Nunez and Diaz, and won't be affected by age like Mane Diaz, Nunez, Salah, Jota will secure our strike forces for another 3 years, unless an upgrade chance coming up. Salah will also be a massive mentor for Elliot who resemble his playstyle The wage sounds a lot, but: 1. if Salah leaving next year, we would have lost a 70-80 mil asset for free. 2. 350k x52 (his wage of last 2 years) +150 x52 (wage difference of this coming year), is just 43 mil. We won't be able to sign anyone for 25 mil and 100k a week that can replace Salah output. 3. Not to mention Salah marketing power The only issue is, can we make sure out wage structure will hold, and everyone (VVD, Trent, etc) not gonna ask for Salah wage? That is my biggest concern

dillipkr6999

Trent and vvd almost at their peak salary not many defenders earning 350k.

Relevant-Door1453

ALSO is Julian Ward coming for Edwards legacy? My guy is the Luke to Edwards' Yoda

Mad_Piplup242

So with Salah signing it means that there is a journalist that is 2 for 2 on Liverpool news this summer Said Darwin was coming in before any interest on our side came out, and he also said that Salah was renewing his contract last week So either he is really fucking lucky or he does have some info, I say this cause he also said we are gonna try sign Bellingham this summer to come in next summer, Keita style

Still_Study_6059

We'll see. I'm very pleased with Salah's extension. Underwhelmed by the Bellingham links. Was hoping we were looking to sign the next Thiago. Bellingham so far has been about workmanship most of the time. But who knows, maybe he'll be pinging balls left and right for us after Klopp works with him.

Mad_Piplup242

We need a new workhorse to be fair And I'm guessing the hope within the club would be that one of Fabio or Harvey will be able to fill that 'deeper' role in the midfield and saying that Bellingham has good creating stats and isn't even out of his teens yet

TheLimeyLemmon

>he also said we are gonna try sign Bellingham this summer to come in next summer, Keita style Got I hope so. Would be a load off everyone's mind and surely our relationship with Bundesliga teams in general is strong enough to make this a very palatable offer for Dortmund.

Kcsb4u

I’ve been thinking the exact same thing

Relevant-Door1453

Just texted a mate to tell him the news and he's upset because he "wanted Gnabry instead" not sure I can ever see him again

NewBromance

Be hard to see him when he's about to be sectioned. Lads not right in the head.

Teb-41

Ok so Now that Mo has renewed, our present and future look way better. We no longer need to replace him. We only need to sign his back up, who could be his future replacement as well, so that could also wait another year So now we can concentrate on our midfield. Interesting. Let's see what happens

Jamesblair1989

Over the moon mo has signed I think it was all in place but had to wait for Sadio to leave so it didn't offset the books? I don't know I just hope it doesn't start a stampede to the gaffers door to say they deserve the same amount the only one I can say deserve being on the same so he doesn't leave is virg and maybe trent but trent would play for peanuts I reckon

prediscan

My Friday just got way better

WH6TSINANAME

Happy Mo Salah Day

macNy

So all they had to do was ship off Sadio and give his salary to Mo in the end.

SummerMeIody

Out of the loop. What did Harvey do?

Jaja6996

He was basically alway asking Mo and telling him to extend during the parade you can see him pointing at Mo and then pretending to sign a contract on his hand.

TheLimeyLemmon

Love Harvey, lad's living the dream.

SummerMeIody

Ooooh I remember that. Thanks!

Relevant-Door1453

Mo looks absolutely made up that he's staying. Also, Fabrizio in the mud. A year of saying Salah is off and then having to RT the official announcement as he didn't have any news.

Os-Kalinowe

HE FUCKING STAY

mattzeni

Is Gini coming back too?

macNy

We should totally try to get him on loan.

JustierNo1

That would actually be a good idea with Bellingham on the horizon.

AdikkuChan

Actually genuinely glad that this renewal basically washed away everyone's fears of him leaving next season. All that's left now is the midfield issue and we're gold

nukhraa

FUCK ALL OF YOU PRICKS WHO CALLED MY KING A "MERCENARY".

bbydonthurtme4667

Give him the golden boot now you cowards

Sinistrait

Salah will be our all time PL top scorer by the turn of the year

velvet_dust

Literally just saw and broke my mobile phone. Can't express my feelings rn!!!

bufed

I swear to God those scrooges are going to lose Salah if he does not sign a contract before the new season. :angryemoji:

Relevant-Door1453

OFFICIAL LFC ACCOUNT

HyrkanianBlade

That's what i get for swearing off Twitter i guess! MO SALAAAAAAH!

abradley19955

Ramy being cooked from all angles lmao Need Jurgen to make a twitter account asap just to call him a gimp

abradley19955

I TAKE IT BACK RAMY I LOVE YOU ❤️❤️

Relevant-Door1453

It's signed boys

natsmithh

Think the emoji might have rattled the Twitter admin 🤣

throbdannway

Ummm why the fugg did the official LFC twitter QT Ramy’s tweet?

CueQw

You are against players getting harrased and abused on Twitter, yet some of you are harrasing and attacking Salah's agent over a fucking laughing emoji. Grow up, you hypocrites. Even Carragher joined in and started speculating over an emoji. Embarrassing.

[deleted]

Emojis single handedly rattled everyone 😭

redbadger1848

Tbf what else have we got to talk about at the moment? Lol

Mercerai

I wish Salah's agent wasn't such a public bellend. Most agents are twats but at least they don't usually do cryptic tweets that may or may not be about their clients. Edit: I swear to fucking god if that's how he teases a contract renewal...come on man, my heart can't take this

arpeGO

Have any international fans had recent success requests tickets through the allocation of their local club-affiliated supporters groups? I've had no luck in the past three seasons. Deciding whether it is worth trying again for the first half of this season.

PhysicalBit7

Fabio joins us today officially right?

abradley19955

Need those pics in the kit and the interview asap

malushanks95

Yes.

Bluegradyn1

Mo’s agent is souring the fan’s relationship with him. Ik Salah is also responsible but I love the guy and just wish things were done more professionally

Mad_Piplup242

...about that

Bluegradyn1

I love his agent and have never said a bad word about him

theOwl_8

Out of curiosity, who do you guys think has an absolutely fantastic academy? (I would personally say Chelsea, their young players, even if moving away from the Chelsea academy, play great football). side note: I cannot wait to see Carvalho play, out of our signings this window, I’m most excited to watch him. I feel he’s going to have an immense impact

nukhraa

Say it through gritted teeth but United's academy has a pretty good success rate (current rapist notwithstanding). Chelsea, Arsenal and Saints have it pretty good too.

Kcsb4u

I get Salah agent tweeted a laughing emoji , but what makes people think that has anything to do with us? Seriously. I understand the emoji after Klopps comment. That makes sense , but he can’t post a laughing emoji? Everyone is saying sell Salah. This has no ties to us.

Purple-Ad-1409

:)

redbadger1848

I think you answered your own question, mate. Its not the first time that his agent has done this. Also, there have been people on twitter talking about the club and Mo's camp meeting in Greece(this was before Mo's agent tweeted the emoji). A coincident? Perhaps, but probably not.

Kcsb4u

That’s all I was asking , thanks . Re: was there something that could have prompted this. To my knowledge there wasn’t any

[deleted]

[удалено]

Rottedhead

WC honestly is the less of our worries. If you think about it, basically just TAA, VVD and Alisson are going to be huge regulars in teams that are probably reaching advanced stages of the WC. The rest are mostly subs or not even qualified for the tournament. Teams like City, Chelsea, Real Madrid or Barcelona have waaaay more things to worry about

TongaDeMironga

TAA doesn’t play for England mate. He’ll be on the bench

con10001

Might get downvotes but Salah needs to reign in his agent like yesterday. This has been going on for months now during what could have been our most successful season ever. The fact that he hasn't told that unprofessional cunt to keep it in-house reflects just as badly on him imo.

PrestigiousAvocado21

It is very tedious, and if the idea is that it's a good cop, bad cop dynamic they've got going, it doesn't seem like it's working all that well...

redbadger1848

Lol why would you get down voted?

con10001

Because I was criticising Mo as much as his agent

AdikkuChan

Because it's really easy to get down voted. You can ask a genuine question and suddenly find yourself at -6 or something

redbadger1848

If op is at risk of getting down voted for saying what they did about Mo's agent, then every single post on here needs to be prefaced with "I'll probably get down voted for this but..." Every single one. 😂

MissSlothEyes

Season starts next month. I like it when you can finally say something is next month haha.

NilsFanck

first pre season game in less than 2 weeks

abradley19955

Only real upside to Salah leaving would be Ramy fucking off aswell. Attention seeking clown

mentalitymidgets420

Tweets an emoji and single handedly rattles an entire fan base

abradley19955

When he posted laughing emojis after Klopp comments that was it. Majority of the fanbase gave him dogs abuse for it and rightly so

mentalitymidgets420

Worst part is if nothing gets resolved during the summer he will be tweeting shit during the season like he did during the quadruple charge

redbadger1848

If that's gonna be the case, then I hope the club goes scorched earth on him and tells him that he can either agree to a move before the start of the season or he'll be benched until he does. I can't help but think that this contract mess was part(afcon obviously being the main contributor) of his down turn in form the second half of last season, and if that's the player we're gonna have going into the new season, then why bother? I'm so sick of all this bullshit, of Mo saying he "loves the club" all the while allowing(if not encouraging) his agent to disrespect the club and be a distraction. Even if he does re-sign(which don't get me wrong, I hope he does) I can't help but think that his legacy takes a hit, and that is honestly really sad, cause Mo is such a likeable guy. Edit: I'm well aware that there is absolutely ZERO chance the club would bench him. 😆

mentalitymidgets420

I can’t wrap my head around it because Mo seems like a really humble and down to earth guy. But he’s definitely using his agent as his attack dog to get what he wants. If he was going against Salah’s wishes he would have binned him off ages ago. From the interviews Salah has done you can tell he cares about legacy and how he wants to be remembered in the premier league. But he also has his agent in his ear telling him how much more money he can make if he leaves

redbadger1848

Well shit...😂😂😂😂😂😂

mentalitymidgets420

They had us in the first half Get in !!!

redbadger1848

🍻🍻🍻

redbadger1848

Yeah, something is off here. Either Mo is a great actor with all his "I love the club and fans" talk, or he isn't very bright, in letting his agent sour his relationship with the fans and the club. If Mo is bluffing(which I suppose is possible) and is actually as keen on staying as he says he is, this could blow up in his face if the club decides that they've had enough of his agents bullshit, closes negotiations and decides that he can take their initial offer or leave. Of course, if he ends up putting pen to paper and gets his big pay raise in the process, all will more than likely be forgiven and Mo's agent looks like a genius...so wtf do I know? 😂

Walshey-

He’s a bellend

AirBalloonZ

Fabio when?

Practical-Travel-819

Spurs have a very interesting front three now. Should make the season more Interesting

whoaaa_O

Barca are broke. We should raid their academy

No-Economist3226

They just got a cash injection of €700m. The way they're going, it'll come back to this stage again, but they'll be ok for now.

EuropeanGuy12

“After winning nothing at Everton, Richarlison has decided to continue winning nothing at Tottenham“

Mothrtheresa9

Wow he left Everton? Thought he was die hard Everton til death

Ha-Ur-Ra-Sa

Looking at the list of players that was posted on r/soccer for players who have now entered into the final year of their contract, does anyone feel it would be worth going for Aouar as a stop-gap before going all out Bellingham next year? At worst, he would become a squad option and at best, genuine competition for a starting place. Feel he would be available at a decent price considering his form has fallen by the wayside the last couple of years, and he is someone we've been interested in in the past.

dillipkr6999

We have good options to play left side of the midfield Keita, Thiago, Curtis if needed Fabio can be converted to play in LCM. Aouar operates on LCM also nobody wants to do anything with him families involved.

stevieG08Liv

while talented, there seems to be a reason why teams avoid signing him. Apparently like Fekir, his family tried to add their family member as his representative at very last minute of transfer negotiations and this caused the transfer to be called off. Word goes around pretty quick and man got himself pretty much black listed for top clubs

[deleted]

It's worse, they tried to make us sign his brother as a condition. Betis accepted this bullshit.

Ha-Ur-Ra-Sa

Wasn't aware of that. Although a Lyon fan has mentioned that he's no longer represented by family and hes with a different agency now, so maybe a possibility.

AdikkuChan

That's a really shitty move from his family ngl

lolowalsh

I can see us signing Gnabry in the winter transfer to be honest in a similar fashion to Diaz.

Sinistrait

We don't need him tbh

dillipkr6999

The guy that broke the news we're interested in Thiago now recently said our interest in serge Gnabry is true. It would be a smart move to pursue the deal. Last year on his contract. He's 26 years old 5year younger than firmino,4 years younger than mo Salah A guy who's versatile can play across many positions CF,lw,rw,ATM. Who also counts as homegrown. Say we pay 50mil for him by the going rate of homegrown players it's actually cheap yes the wage would be High he wants around 10-12 mil salary which is what we pay for Thiago. Considering mo Salah and Bobby on last year of contract if one them let go free or both we would have a immediate replacement in Gnabry we could wait and scout best replacement for mo or firmino or both. His stats are very close to mo Salah maybe not the sheer numbers mo puts up. For a guy right footed his left foot equally good. Whoever gets him will get a fantastic player hope it's us.

JokeSalty

Pretty sure he’d be cheaper than 50 mil, I think between 35-40 mil is the price being quoted

Tremor00

His wages would likely be too much but we'll see there. Surely he doesn't take nearly half of what bayern are offering to come here. Price wise, maybe if it were to happen the mane deal will help us there?

samlfc92

Who broke the Thiago news?

ZoeKravitz_

Wouldn’t he be on insane wages? He’s also right footed like all the other players

dillipkr6999

He's has very good weak foot like Mane can play at rw really well.

Sinistrait

He's right footed but is still at his best as a RW drifting inside. That's not a problem.

HarveysManbun

Only if he loses to tache

Florenyx

How realistic is the rumor of us signing Jobe Bellingham?

Jaja6996

I’d say it’s realistic we have been investing a lot into highly rated young player just look at some of the players we have bought for our youth teams like Elliot, Gordon and Bobby Clark

ConsciousPennies

I’d rather have Jude to be honest

wewdepiew

Why not both

HarveysManbun

Just imagine we get Jobe and turn him into a world beater though. For a kid his age he looks just as promising as jude did

DrAgOnLoLDoTA

Jude was more promising though

Tremor00

I've heard the opposite tbh lol

elbonderro

With Spurs, Chelsea and even Arsenal on the verge of key squad improvements our transfer market seems underwhelming. We only got Nunez as a replacement for Mane and fringe players (altough im really excited for Carvalho in the long term). If the young guys (including Nunez) will not make a definite push, City will once again be without a competition in the league.

[deleted]

Most frustrating thing for me is that we seemed to have sold our depth. Mane/origi/mina out, Nunez in (although I've heard carvalho can play wing but he played almost all his games as a cam last season). Our weakness is midfield, and yet we haven't added to it. I'm not worried about Spurs/Arsenal catching us, but it's annoying to see us 1 signing short again

Callivi

Agree with this, and if Mo doesn't sign and leaves on a free next summer. We will need a Mo replacement and we are signing Bellingham? Can't see it happening. If Mo does sign, all good. Though our main players will be another year older... Thiago, Fab, Hendo, etc... Do think a midfielder is needed this summer in addition to Jude next really (not as optimistic about him joining as others though if the other big clubs go in for him, his wages will be big which is what we always try to limit).

[deleted]

The issue in midfield is that all of Thiago, Hendo and Naby are injury prone, and neither will likely reach 30 league games. We tried to sign Tchouameni for a reason, and the alternative seems to be to wait. I understand the club's position, but it seems a risk we didn't need to take

Android17_MVP

Judging by the recent activities of *Grizz Khan* on Twitter seemingly 'hinting' Mo has signed an extension I remember this was the same fella who was tagging the lfc twitter account in December to announce his extension and numerous times stated he signed before the truth came out about the situation. I hope he is right but this guy got everyone in his comment section on strings with his 'itk' rubbish.

Jaja6996

A lot of people where saying the same in both January and April it’s been a constant thing with them it’s basically them just putting out what people want to see to get more followers. He’s good for team news and injury’s but past that I’d never believe anything they say.

Android17_MVP

Exactly. See how cryptic the wording in his tweets are, if Mo signs he can claim to knowing and if he doesn't, he will be like I never explicitly said he will sign.

No-Economist3226

He definitely knows someone in the physio team and is reliable for medical info (like injuries etc), but has often been wide of the mark for transfers, though he gets some things spot on, which is unsurprising.

Android17_MVP

Am aware, and he gets the starting 11 like 15 minutes early. I actually like him (a show he is in) but like you said about the transfers and extensions... Its hard to respect his takes at times.

risingstar3110

Kinda suck of not having any transfer news, or resolving the loaned players and players about to be out of contract issues * Ben Davies * Rhys * Nat * Sepp * Neco * Keita * Ox * Firmino * Salah Hopefully this list will quickly get shorten when players start to come back

Akira_Nishiki

Wonder what Everton fans will be like when Richarlison is acting like a cunt against them this season.

theewarnec

Richarlison is so overhyped, he’s gonna be a benched player at spurs, don’t cry about that. Can’t dive on the bench

Jaja6996

Is it going to be Fabio Friday today or are we gonna have to wait until Monday

Asad_OG

Playing spurs is not gonna be fun next season

thelonelyoctopus

There's a lot of egos involved there now, might be all roses at the moment but a couple of bad defeats and injuries that changing room will eat itself up. Shit could hit the fan gloriously. But to be fair think the fixtures against them line up nicely for us, just before the world cup and towards the end of the season. The November one will be interesting because anyone that's half fit won't risk playing and miss the world cup. Basically they are a danger but things could go wrong quickly for them.

WH6TSINANAME

Depends if we get more competent refereeing

pingu2009

With Howard "sleeps in united pyjamas under a Ferguson duvet" Webb in charge of pgmol? Don't count on it

thehibachi

Wasn’t exactly a fiesta this year 😂

djrobbo83

Yeah, it cant get any worse than that game away last season. Honestly would have rather been outplayed and lost 2-0 than end up drawing due to inept bordering on corrupt refereeing. Frustrating

TheLimeyLemmon

Playing against Conte is never fun.

malushanks95

Where and when is Carvalho lean? Hopefully we will get some pictures of him in our kit today.

HarveysManbun

I'm hoping for today too. There might not be time for all the solo media stuff that comes with a signing on day 1 of preseason

Sinistrait

Predictions for Carvalho's number? I'm guessing the #18 vacated by Taki.

skinheaddrone

The first round of staff and players are back at Kirkby today? Waiting for some red hot lactate test content.

AdikkuChan

Milner is probably already circling outside of Kirkby like a hungry vulture, all part of his warm up

SEND-MARS-ROVER-PICS

He showed up at 3am.

Supkingz123

Morata one of the most unlucky CF I have seen play. His positional play in this box is out of this world at times and then he literally misses an open net. He has done it so many times now I was half expecting him to get a season where he gets 30 goals. Shocked wolves haven't gone in for him.

_cumblast_

He's not unlucky, just a donkey.

lateregistration13

How is missing easy chances "unlucky" ?

Supkingz123

Because he does everything right most of the time but his finishing is awful. Sometimes you need luck and he doesn't get it at all.

myglasscase

Yeah mate I’d be a top player too, just always get unlucky with my touch, passing, shooting, speed, and cardio

brush85

https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team/player/fabio-carvalho Was that always there?

malushanks95

Last month when I checked his profile wasn’t there.

APebbleInTheSky

Wasn't he added today? As it is july 1st

malushanks95

Yes he was added today.

Dudewithadifference

I don't get how lewandowski is 34 this next season is worth 50m with what another 2 years at top level football and mane is worth the same? Whereas mane has 5 years at top level football, They both were on their last year of their contracts. And lewa publicly wanted out. Yet bayern aren't lowering.

taf3991

Why does Mane automatically have 5 years left at top level football? regardless of the last 4 months he's been on a decline for 2 years. Where as Lewandowski since being in his 30's has scored more goals than games played every season. 179 contributions in his last 3 seasons, at a time where there isn't a lot of great strikers about. He's worth the price he's valued at 100%.

Dudewithadifference

Lol he hasn't been on decline. Rough patches for sure. And there's a reason lewandowski didn't win a single ballond'or even after scoring so many goals. If bl didn't have 10 in row winners with the second not even coming close, We could talk about them being competitive. And given bl team's, even the weak team's just attack, giving backn more chance to score.

taf3991

Genuinely clueless if you think Mane is as good now as he was in his first 2-3 years with us. bar this season which is an anomaly as we played 63 games and he played ST for half the season he's contributed to less goals each season, he isn't as explosive in terms of dribbling at players and running past players like he used to. Been an unreal player for us and arguably the best/most influential signing in the klopp era. But use selling him now isn't as big of a deal as people think imo. And yeh granted the Bundesliga is a shite league. But he has 111 goal contributions in 106 Champions League games. And Bundesliga is still a top 5 european league he has 387 contributions in 384 games. That is unbelievable for any league. And the Balon d'or argument is pathetic. It's a popularity contest that's given to a player for a team that wins the most trophies every year. If it was about individual seasons Salah would of won it in 17/18 and Lewandowski would of won it in the Covid year where it got cancelled.
