I think I’ve done 5 movies in one day while I was doing a Harry Potter binge. Otherwise I try not to do more than 2, if I do 3 or more I feel like I’m not leaving enough time for the movie to sit with me.
i wish you would learn how to read. he said he watched 4 movies in a day once. he didn’t say he does that every day. i swear we learnt reading way back in kindergarten

It's so funny people acting so defensive out of a statement but also having nothing to say or add to the discussion. Just goes to show u clearly felt attacked and related to it.

The completely objective and totally scientific ratings system is
★★★★★ - Top 100 All Time★★★★ 1/2 - I love this film★★★★ - GREAT movie, go see it!★★★ 1/2 Good, would prob see again!★★★ Decent one-timer★★ 1/2 Average, it merely exists★★ Not a good movie, but no regrets★ 1/2 Actively didn’t enjoy much of it★ Actively didn’t enjoy any of it1/2 - no
Idk how many times it has to be said but everyone’s ratings are arbitrary and mean nothing outside of the context of their own lists.
A 3.5 means great to me, while it may mean mid to someone else. Stop trying to shove your own made up scales into other peoples lists.
Before kids? Nine feature films in one day... usually once a year: the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I call it "Filmsgiving." The only objective of the holiday is to watch as many films from as many different decades as possible.
These days, it's rare that'd I get to 3 or more films in a single day more than a few times a year.
I think 6 is the most as far as I can actually remember, I was watching all the Bond films over winter holidays and had just started in the morning with Dr No, From Russia With Love and Goldfinger then later in the evening I watched The Long Good Friday, Wings of Desire and Halloween III: Season of the Witch. Which is kinda a weird mix of movies now that I look at it haha.
There was actually also a time last year when I got really stoned all day and just watched every Jackass film in a row. So that must have been 7 films (including Bad Grandpa and Bad Grandpa .5), this was before Forever and 4.5 came out otherwise I probably would’ve gone all the way to 9 haha.
Both about furry animals assimilating to human culture. Humans want to imprison them, but ultimately come around to the bear or dog's line of thinking.
On April 1st this week we and my cousin watched 5 movies, Super Mario Bros. (1993), Pinocchio: A True Story (Funi voice acting), Ratatoing, Whiplash, and Napoleon Dynamite
I did the 4 hunger games movies with my gf a few weeks ago and man it felt like a long day. However, I’ve done the extended LotR trilogy and I’d say that counts as 5 at least lmao
If you're attending some short film festival it's quite easy to get to 60+ in a day. For feature-length your brain will be fried after 6. Been there, done that. Not really recommended.
Once on summer vacation several years ago, I had a nasty flu and couldn’t go outside, and I was at my dads house, who didn’t have cable. So I ended up watching all 3 Toy Story’s at the time, Shrek and Shrek 2, and the first Iron Man. Those were pretty much the only kid appropriate dvds he had at the time lmao
So people didn't leave their seat and just continuously watched every single frame of all the films?
If yes, then people can say they have watched 15 films in a day.
If no, then people should say they have watched PARTS of 15 films in a day. ( which is still impressive)
Three I think, back when I was younger and had the free time to do such things. I managed to squeeze two in one day a few weeks back because I was on holidays, but that was very much a luxury.
I've done three intentional watches in a day a handful of times.
But then I'll also find days where if they're playing Harry Potter or Pirates of the Caribbean movies, even on TV with commercials, I might watch through 4-5 sort of in the background... But also paying more attention than I should when I own those series on physical media lol
I've seen 7 movies in 24 hours: Detective Pikachu, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris, The Gentleman, Werewolf by Night, GotG Holiday Special, Creed II. (Maybe i might say 6 because of WbN and GotG lengths)
Probably when I saw all the best picture films in 24 hours as a marathon. So, 10.
I don't think I've gotten past somewhere like 6 or 7 otherwise when watching older films.
Each is around 90 mins, so that’s a tight 6 hours. It’s when you try to do all three extended LOTR that you’re in for a numb butt.
But yeah 4-5 films is my max. Film festivals will get you numbers like that too.
9
Jennifer’s body, horrible bosses, Team America, the Campaign, 30 days of night, before sunrise, eyes wide shut, stuber, and Sicario
Stayed up for almost 20 hours straight, I had a fucking terrible headache after
Two years ago I watched 6 movies the day before Halloween, last Halloween I watched 5, but I've definitely had many 4 movie days.
Usually it's when I watch a couple movies super late at night and then watch the rest during the day or later in the evening.
Last year I managed to watch 6 films in one day. I started the morning watching Nymphomaniac 1 & 2 and spent the rest of the day binging the Rock's filmography.
Not 100% sure but i worked at video update in 2006. They let you take out 3 movies at once for free. I got 3, watched them, got 3 more and watched at least 2 of those. Was bored that day 🤣
I know this is psycho but I held 2 different 24-hour movie marathons in 2020-2021.
Oct 2020 - Horrorthon - 14 movies in a 25-ish hour period. https://boxd.it/90YGy
March 2021 - The Sleazy Sleepover - again, 14 movies in about 24 hours, but I distinctly remember this was during “Spring forward” so i lost an hour in there. https://boxd.it/bsKBy
Fun times.
I’m not proud of this but when Furious 7 came out my ex gf and I thought it would be funny to watch the first 6 is one day as neither of us had seen any of them before lol. Rough day.
My max was 7 last month I watched all Friday the 13th movies with a friend in two days. First day was Part 1 - Part 7 and the next the rest including Freddy vs Jason and the remake and the Scream 6.
But we had a one day break in between where we watched Apocalypse Now in cinema.
On February 18 of this year I watched 5 movies plus 3 shorts:
Easy A
Ender’s Game
Friends with Benefits
Blade Runner
The three Blade Runner shorts (2022, 2036 and 2048)
Blade Runner 2049
6, I work overnights so I probably watched 2 late in the day then 4 before/during my shift.
1. An American Werewolf in London
2. BASEketball
3. Honey Boy
4. Team America World Police
5. Straight Outta Compton
6. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
(I had finished the other Indiana Jones movies the day earlier)
I watched 7 in a single day. 6 of them in a plane while travelling from Greece to Boston and one more while waiting for the flight at the airport. In order:
Lost in Translation (2003)
Coco (2017)
Inside Out (2015)
Escape Room (2019)
Isle of Dogs (2018)
Black Swan (2010)
Dunkirk (2017)
I think the most I’ve seen in one day was two or three, when I was at my dad’s house a few months ago and I binged the original three Indiana Jones films.
Came to excoriate you on your rating of Spider-Man 2. How anyone watches it and doesn't immediately praise it as the greatest superhero movie of all time baffles me to no end.
I hosted a Disney movie marathon and we watched 10 in a single day, since they are mostly very short movies.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Peter Pan, The Sword in the Stone, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Mulan.
Also did an Arnold Schwarzenegger marathon and watched 10, though that one extended past midnight:
Conan the Barbarian, The Terminator, Running Man, Commando, Predator, Total Recall, Terminator 2, True Lies, Eraser, End of Days.
Some looooooooong days, but very fun.
A Cinema did a Hatry Potter Marathon on two days. 4 movies per day for two days.
And then i also di the Lord of the Rings extended cut Marathons which might be longer than 4 Harry Potter movies.
Hit paddington 2 before you get to bed!!!
It used to be the best rated movie in history, didnt it?
On rotten tomatoes yeah
Some say it still is to this very day
I mean, is it? Im not bothered to check and would rather type this out instead of looking it up.
No clue, just being a silly bear.
5. studio ghibli marathon at a cinema, my neighbour totoro, howl’s moving castle, whisper of the heart, princess mononoke, and spirited away
I’m jealous
I think I’ve done 5 movies in one day while I was doing a Harry Potter binge. Otherwise I try not to do more than 2, if I do 3 or more I feel like I’m not leaving enough time for the movie to sit with me.
Why do people do this
cause we like watching movies? sorry that doesn’t sit with you
You seem triggered
🤣🤣
Ironic
Do what? Binge Harry Potter or not to watch more than 2 films a day?
Both
[удалено]
bro this is literally a subreddit for people who actively watch movies
Thats like saying if u participate in a videogames subreddit, its normal to spend 10 hours + a day gaming, wtf are ur points XDDDDDD
from the sound of it, I'm pretty sure you spend 10 hours a day on league tabbing out every time you die to try to find some purpose in arguing online
Lmao, u r so offended. u actually came with a disappointing response. Its ok, I hope u enjoyed my profile holy XD
addiction to what, movies? 💀
yes
lmao an addiction to movies?
2 movies in one day, sorry, you are doomed to addiction now 😭🤯😔
Between watching 2 and 5 movies a day, it goes a fair margin, but whatever keep cooping with ur delusional sarcasm.
there is a difference between "what is the max you've ever watched" and "Yeah, I watch 4 movies a day, every day"
whatever fits your narrative
i wish you would learn how to read. he said he watched 4 movies in a day once. he didn’t say he does that every day. i swear we learnt reading way back in kindergarten

Spider-Man 2 rated lower than Spider-Man 1? Wild
I've always preferred spiderman 1 tbh. It's just such a fun movie. Not to say spiderman 2 isn't obviously but spiderman 1 is just another level of campiness
Can’t argue with the campiness
I don’t really have any specific reasons for liking it more, but i thought 1 was slightly better paced and i like Willem Dafoe more than doc ock. I can see why people like 2 though
Sure. I mean, 2 is only the best superhero movie ever
ok that seems a little excessive
Name three better ones. I'm in the mood for a good laugh.
V for vendetta, The dark knight and logan and i have so many more. I like SM2 aswell but "laughing" at someone else for preferring something different is stupid. Also the entire raimi trilogy aged pretty bad. All the acting except for some of the villains is terrible. The dialogue is flat and wooden.
it’s true though. 1 reigns supreme
I watched 8 Halloween movies in a single day.
legend
Do you mean horror movies or films from the Halloween franchise?
3.5 stars for spiderman 2?? Get out of town
when will people understand that 3.5 is a good score lol, very good in fact
The completely objective and totally scientific ratings system is ★★★★★ - Top 100 All Time★★★★ 1/2 - I love this film★★★★ - GREAT movie, go see it!★★★ 1/2 Good, would prob see again!★★★ Decent one-timer★★ 1/2 Average, it merely exists★★ Not a good movie, but no regrets★ 1/2 Actively didn’t enjoy much of it★ Actively didn’t enjoy any of it1/2 - no
This is objective and I believe the science....and Spiderman 2 is a 5 star Top 100 for me....so the science checks out
Glad to science with you
This is essentially how I rate things with the one exception of the movie Cat in the Hat
What did you rate CAT IN THE HAT (2003)
Half a star but I had an absolute blast
I think it's less "Spider-Man 2 got a 3.5" and more "Spider-Man 2 got a 1/2 star worse rating than Spider-Man".
It is a good score...however....it is far from a great score
A 4 is a great score, a 3 is a good score, a 3.5 is in the middle. It's a generous rating for Spider-Man 2 but it is very close to a great scire.
> It’s a generous rating for Spider-Man 2 That’s just adding insult to injury
Idk how many times it has to be said but everyone’s ratings are arbitrary and mean nothing outside of the context of their own lists. A 3.5 means great to me, while it may mean mid to someone else. Stop trying to shove your own made up scales into other peoples lists.
That’s equivalent to a 7/10 man, that’s a very positive score
Ah, Rosie, I hate this score!
that’s my score for all the Raimi SM movies
Before kids? Nine feature films in one day... usually once a year: the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I call it "Filmsgiving." I think I watched all 6 Star Wars movies on May 4th the year of The Force Awakens
W The Thing score
I do Film Festivals so 5. Easy when they're all gobsmacking, but when a turkey appears it can become a hard slog very quickly.
3
5 movies for me. Turning Red, Deep Water, Knives Out, Persona, Snatch. Very interesting lineup I chose that day 🤣
I watched fast 5,6,7 and 8 in one day because i wanted to watch the fast and furious movies just to say I had
Most grass-touching letterboxd user Also, four. I was on a plane
I think 6. But they were the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings extended editions. Almost exactly a 24 hour marathon.
The ultimate double feature, the thing and paddington 2
Both about furry animals assimilating to human culture. Humans want to imprison them, but ultimately come around to the bear or dog's line of thinking.
I usually watch about 7-10 movies on Halloween
I’ve done 3, 4, 5 many, many times, but I think my record is probably 8.
Mine is 4 as well, done it twice. Funny enough, the first time I watched four in a day, Paddington was also one of them
If you're attending some short film festival it's quite easy to get to 60+ in a day. For feature-length your brain will be fried after 6. Been there, done that. Not really recommended.
Spider-Man 2 slander smh
7 and I’m not necessarily proud of that lol.
I’ve done 7 before on a direct flight back from Europe. 😵💫 Twas wild.
The world's first ever Paddington/The Thing double feature
Once on summer vacation several years ago, I had a nasty flu and couldn’t go outside, and I was at my dads house, who didn’t have cable. So I ended up watching all 3 Toy Story’s at the time, Shrek and Shrek 2, and the first Iron Man. Those were pretty much the only kid appropriate dvds he had at the time lmao
I think it was seven, it was Oscar Sunday and I tried watching all the Best Picture nominees in one day 😭
In the course of 24 hours? 15 😅 24 hour horror marathon, great time
Cap
At least five. Maybe six, but that I can’t be sure of.
15 in 24 hours. Horrorthon is a great time and I can’t wait to do it for a third time later this year.
Cap
https://boxd.it/isZik https://boxd.it/dY5KQ read em and weep. on 35mm too

with 5 minute breaks and trailers in between, but yes, that’s exactly what they did.
Then my apologies. I never thought people do that. Zamn. Again sorry.
No need to apologize! You should come to the next one ;)
Damn you watched a ton of bangers. I gave everything except Spider-Man 2 5 stars.
The first 4 Harry Potter movies.
11, but most were shorts. was during a virtual film fest last year
Films not shorts lol
I’ve seen 14 in one day
Cap
No cap

I need to hear about this day
Hard core festival goers can easily see 6-8 movies in a day. I think I saw 7 one day at TIFF 2009.
Three I think, back when I was younger and had the free time to do such things. I managed to squeeze two in one day a few weeks back because I was on holidays, but that was very much a luxury.
Unsure but several a couple of times with a friend of mine. Just wake up and then movies till we fell asleep.
I've done three intentional watches in a day a handful of times. But then I'll also find days where if they're playing Harry Potter or Pirates of the Caribbean movies, even on TV with commercials, I might watch through 4-5 sort of in the background... But also paying more attention than I should when I own those series on physical media lol
seven
5. Killer Bean Forever, Curious George, A Taxi Driver (not the Scorsese one), Superman the Movie and Fatal Deviation
I did 7 one time and have done 6 in a day a few times, but I try not to if I’m not sick because it almost dilutes the experience for me
Probably when I saw all the best picture films in 24 hours as a marathon. So, 10. I don't think I've gotten past somewhere like 6 or 7 otherwise when watching older films.

I think I had a couple 5 or 6 days during quarantine.
I watched 8 in one day back in 2021 during the Sundance Film Festival online.
4. Hot Shots 1 and Deux, This is Spinal Tap, and Play Misty For Me
I watched 4 on a flight from Paris to the US. I’m not sure I can do more than that tbh.
I’ve gotten 3 multiple times but never 4
i cap myself at 3 in a day, never gone over and i don’t plan on it unless i’m super sick or something
Damn…what a legendary day of movie watching.
5 or 6. I was bored and had a shudder subscription
4 or 5 probably, and that’s super rare for me
9 Jennifer’s body, horrible bosses, Team America, the Campaign, 30 days of night, before sunrise, eyes wide shut, stuber, and Sicario Stayed up for almost 20 hours straight, I had a fucking terrible headache after
Im with you dawg, 4 ~ 5 max in one day
6, but I woke up halfway through the day. Could've been more
7
8
Two years ago I watched 6 movies the day before Halloween, last Halloween I watched 5, but I've definitely had many 4 movie days. Usually it's when I watch a couple movies super late at night and then watch the rest during the day or later in the evening.
Last year I managed to watch 6 films in one day. I started the morning watching Nymphomaniac 1 & 2 and spent the rest of the day binging the Rock's filmography.
Watched both hobbit sequels, Living, Demon Slayer: To The Swordsmith, Creed III (rewatch), and RRR on a Saturday
4 movies in a day during Harry Potter marathon. Also, Spider-Man 2 is on my top-4 list, so this screenshot makes me sad…
6. Sundance.
Not 100% sure but i worked at video update in 2006. They let you take out 3 movies at once for free. I got 3, watched them, got 3 more and watched at least 2 of those. Was bored that day 🤣

Mine was probably a Harry Potter marathon (we took one 30-min break).
6, all lotr and the hobbit
At the cinema: 6 At home: 8 (The Harry Potter series)
I watched 8 in one day a few weeks ago When sick. All 6 Rocky movies and Creed 1&2
Ive done 4 movies in one day a couple of times, hoping Ill reach 5 one day
4 is my max
5
Please watch Paddington 2
Probably 4 when I binged the Phantasm series (had previously seen part 1 and obviously loved it).
i've done like a ton a couple times but thats mainly short films. i think the most feature lengths was 7 cause i was feeling nostalgic on some standup
7, I saw Saw 1-7 on one day
I’m not proud of this but when Furious 7 came out my ex gf and I thought it would be funny to watch the first 6 is one day as neither of us had seen any of them before lol. Rough day.
Three. I was a kid and there were all three Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies on TV so I watched all of them in one sitting.
3
I think its 7 or 8 for me. this week alone I've had 2x5 and 1x6. that being said, it's the 6th of the month and I'm on 22.
Genuine question, don't you get exhausted if you see four in a day? If I see two I get rekt 🥲
Idk, but probably not more than 4 :P The thing is pretty cool
6: Top Gun Blade Runner Blade Runner 2049 Miracle (2004) Greyhound (2020) Top Gun: Mav
My max was 7 last month I watched all Friday the 13th movies with a friend in two days. First day was Part 1 - Part 7 and the next the rest including Freddy vs Jason and the remake and the Scream 6. But we had a one day break in between where we watched Apocalypse Now in cinema.

I recently watched all 5 Michael Bay Transformers films in one day with my friend. And yes, It was complete torture.
On February 18 of this year I watched 5 movies plus 3 shorts: Easy A Ender’s Game Friends with Benefits Blade Runner The three Blade Runner shorts (2022, 2036 and 2048) Blade Runner 2049
6, I work overnights so I probably watched 2 late in the day then 4 before/during my shift. 1. An American Werewolf in London 2. BASEketball 3. Honey Boy 4. Team America World Police 5. Straight Outta Compton 6. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (I had finished the other Indiana Jones movies the day earlier)
3 on vacation at my grandparents house who just play tv all the time, probably not gonna happen again until summer
3. Went to The Dark Knight Trilogy IMAX marathon a couple years back
3, but two of them were Inception and Interstellar extremely exhausting lmao
I remember when I bought the A Nightmare on Elm Street boxset on DVD. I think I managed to get through at least 3 of them in a day. Probably 4 or 5.
I think 7? May have been more.
I did 9 I think when I marathoned the Saw series. Care to say, had no sleep that night
I once did all three Lord Of The Rings (standard edition) back to back to back
Indiana Jones/ Lord of the Rings Extended Marathon
i watched 9 in a day during spring break
7. It was a hard day and I've only ever done it once lol
I watched 7 in a single day. 6 of them in a plane while travelling from Greece to Boston and one more while waiting for the flight at the airport. In order: Lost in Translation (2003) Coco (2017) Inside Out (2015) Escape Room (2019) Isle of Dogs (2018) Black Swan (2010) Dunkirk (2017)
Watched 4 movies on a flight

Last year I watched 6 in one day 4 different times and 7 in one day once

11
17.
3 movies, 1. All quiet in the western front 2. Annie Hall 3. Star Wars 7 (or 8 I don’t remember)
I think about 5 in a day if not including shorts
I watched all six of the Lucas SW movies in a day once. I think that's my record.
I think the most I’ve seen in one day was two or three, when I was at my dad’s house a few months ago and I binged the original three Indiana Jones films.
Those are rookie numbers. You gotta pump those numbers up.
Came to excoriate you on your rating of Spider-Man 2. How anyone watches it and doesn't immediately praise it as the greatest superhero movie of all time baffles me to no end.
9 feature length
I think 5 is my record when I was sick 😷
On April 1 I saw 6 movies. [https://imgur.com/a/iYZxhc8](https://imgur.com/a/iYZxhc8)
Propably 4 films
Never beaten 5
Around 5 I think, during the height of the pandemic when I had nothing else to be doing
