How long have you had her?
A month ago she's a juvenile
Maybe try handling her for a few minutes daily to break her out of the shell? But I don't know if this is right etiquette. Wish I could help more!
We've been trying to but she hides her face away and breathes really quick. She also thinks fingers are food.
Seems like normal settling in behaviour to me.
Has your gecko licked your hand so that she knows it's you?
Try making a sound every time you approach her so she gets to know you are there.
Geckos can be very skittish and easily stressed at first. Just be patient and let her settle in.
Hope this helps.
She has multiple times and I make a clucking noise with my tongue and tap lightly on her cage. I just am worried about her not getting the right temps on her body
The temps you say you have are fine. Your gecko may be spending more time in the moist hide because she is getting ready to shed her skin.
She just finished her shed, I made sure to raise the humidity a bit by misting the whole cage all of her shed came off good! I checked all her toes and eyes and nothing was stuck. There was a cute little piece of skin in her moss though!
With handling try putting your hand out flat against the opening of her home and eventually she will come over and investigate you. Try not to lift her up over head as this stresses them out as they think you are a preditor.
Hope this helps.
We did that I lured her onto my boyfriend's hand while feeding it really freaked her out she bit him a few times
Seems like she needs more time to settle in with you.
Is there anything I can do to make her happier?
