Early screeners says around 1h for the first two episodes. So presumably 8 episodes will be around 1h each yes.
Why do some companies do this? While some small budget shows can have 24 episodes then why not?
Scripts should dictate the running time not the other way around. Else you get pacing issues like Netflix marvel series.
You're right. Thanks for the explanation.
Small budget shows with 24 episodes are more into having half of these be filler episodeswith unnecessary sub-plots (like DC CW series). A natural consequence of wanting a 24 episode show that lasts for an entire year (from september/october to april/may) but having way too thin a main plot for it.
I find in the age of streaming, trying to be a certain length is no longer an issue. No TV slot to fit in to.
I suspect some episodes may end up longer like the season finale.
The show is slotted for 50 total hours across 5 seasons.
So if they are only doing 8 hours in the first season, at some point in the future we will have more episodes or longer episodes.
I don’t think they can have more than 8 episodes due to their TV rights.
First 2 episodes = 2h10mins
Apparently that's pretty consistent across the season so expect 8.5h-ish runtime
Is this the theatrical release episode length or extended edition episode length?
Lol. Do you guys remember when there was movies instead of series
We can all go and read the books instead if the show turns out not to our liking.
Did you reply on the wrong comment. That had nothing to do with my comment
No, I replied to your comment with intent :-)
I remember when there was books instead of movies, and there will always be books.
