I always thought the colors fit their personality well. red fits the impulsive leader personality, while green fits the goofy and smart personality. But yea when you point it out like this swapping them wouldn't have been the worst idea.

I associated them with elements Red for fire fit Hayner because he was hot headed and impulsive Green for air fit Pence because he was the aloof jokester Yellow for earth fit Olette because she seemed like a charismatic down to earth person Blue for water fit Roxas because before we knew about him being in O.XIII and the fake twilight town, Roxas seemed like a very "go with the flow" type of person

Color of the orbs. Pence's is green, which Hayner primarily wears, while Hayner has red, which Pence is primarily wearing. It would make more sense aethetically to have them switch.

I always thought they were supposed to parallel sora and the gang with hayner being Sora and Pence being Goofy. But then it gets messed up with Ollete having yellow and Roxas having blue.

Out of all the things in the entire fucking game, this is what I see people get the most upset about in KH2. It’s never bothered me really because I think the red and green orbs compliment their color schemes quite well, like how the blue orb compliments Roxas’.
