Close but nah, I'm using that 'shower thoughts' as a title based on these Tiktok/youtube shorts [link for example ](https://youtube.com/shorts/QDeYajrdRTY?feature=share) I'm not literally on the shower room. Besides Ruka is annoying

It was a joke)?![img](emote|t5_izi65|2410)

I think Reiji gave up on dating Chizuru now that Kazuya is getting closer to her, and has started to focus on going out with Ruka again. That is why she hasn't appeared in recent chapters, lol.

>Dude, I think Umi has a new girlfriend now You mean girlfriendS? 😂😂

pyu2c

Can we have Umi x Mami as end game?

SeaCombination3439

How about Umi x Ruka they're compatible one is a playboy one is obsess

Atomicking_1

Lol, yeah, he prob does.

AkaRyomen

Yes. That would not surprise me. The guy is trash with the way he treats females.

SeaCombination3439

Plus he didn't gave Chizuru a decent role in their play (seems like Umi was the one who recommended Chizuru to star in Aosagi play) I mean why they make a comedian out of a ninja character? Ninjas are supposed to be deadly not comic relief characters sign that they seemed don't care about Chizuru but unfortunately she nailed the role even if was a comic relief character in the play.

AkaRyomen

Absolutely agree that Umi didn't put any weight behind her. They gave her a secondary role that was quite difficult. She managed but still. Also i am really confused as to what reiji is doing with chizuru and acting. I mean, she is good, but she is clearly not written as exellent. Kazuya obviously likes whatever she does. And the way that her collegues treat her she seems decent and good. But she has not shown anything amazing. As in, she doesn't seem to be written as an amazing actress. So I am not really sure what to think of it.

Actually, the crowds always love her so I think she’s a great actor. Earlier in the story, the movie industry’s bias showed itself - where the girl with connections got ahead. I’ve worked in the entertainment/music/movie industry before & I can say from first hand experience that it is unbelievably hard. Like, get struck by lightning twice before you can make it as an actor/artist without connections. My childhood friend took over 14 years and an immense amount of talent, looks, charisma, and passion to even break into the music space with no connections. Lived in the edge in Los Angeles for 5+ years - did thousands of shows & jumped on every opportunity to get his name out. All that hard work paid off & he’s in a good position now. Whereas, some people just get it handed to them like “Friday’s” Rebecca Black lol Edit: In conclusion, I think she has a shot & should pursue that dream even if it is “realistically” & “statistically” a pipe dream. It’s what she loves to do!!!! Plus she’s young enough to pursue a high risk career (only 22)

Thank you very much for explaining Everything. Maybe I was thinking about it in a different way regarding Chizuru. I just re read oshi no ko, one of my favourite series and maybe I was being a bit unfair to chizuru by comparing her to Akane Kurokawa and Kana Arima. The way that Aka and Mengo wrote these two character definetly gives them super talented vibes. Mengo's oanels almost suck you into their talent. We don't have that for chizuru. Maybe I was a bit unfair to compare them. Also having read oshi no ko i can definetly see that it depicts the reality you are speaking of very accurately. Thank you again for explaining. Also I agree that she should chase her dream whatever happens. We all know kazuya will produce all the movies for her anyway. Lol.

SeaCombination3439

No that was from Kazuya's POV that's why it appears like she's the crowd favorite. But in reality from Chizuru's perspective the crowd can only see is Shiori since she's the lead star of the story. Nobody cared about Chizuru's role since she's just a side character from the play. It's all matter of perspective in this story reason why Chizuru said she's untalented it's because that's the truth from she's so desperate to get huge offer so her grandma can see her on silver screen. The scene where the director talked to Shiori about the offer means the director can only see was her talent from the play that Shiori takes all the advantage of every actor's talents for her to shine in the story even Chizuru that's why she's so thankful to her for tanking Shiori that's why her performance is so amazing. The two girls gossiping about Shiori just added a little more flare on the situation where Chizuru showed frustration since she's so desperate that time for the offer. The words from the gossip went through her head so she would think she deserves more than Shiori. But in reality we're not sure if the girls' gossip is true or not and Shiori actually deserve the offer since she's also a talented actress as well it's just happened that she landed the lead character role that's why she shined better than anyone else. The proof of my point is in chapter 272 after Chizuru asked Kazuya about the recent play and Kazuya praised her about it but she said there's room for improvement and she's only played a side role to props the lead role of the story. She didn't want Kazuya's words to go through her head again like the two girls' gossip so she will think she deserves than Miho who played the lead role and also she's not under pressure anymore since her grandma is already dead and she already made an indie movie. The reason why Chizuru wants to hear his opinion about the recent play is only because she wants the attention from him since she's flirting. His words are her happiness even if she won't get the whole crowd who's only praising Miho as long as he got him. Think of Chizuru's struggles in theater industry like a live Wrestling entertainment program (WWE) where Chizuru is a jobber that her role is to lose to the face of the show to make them look amazing at her expense. That's the perfect example I can give about what's her role in every play which is a prop to the lead actor. Problem is Chizuru nailed her role no matter if it's a jobber role because she's talented but nobody in the crowd (well mostly) cared about talent as she's still playing a side character unlike Shiori and Umi who played the two lead roles

AkaRyomen

Ruka is probably not in the manga now because reiji wants to deliver on Chizuru and Kazuya development first. Ruka has won as far as she is concerned. Reiji is also linear with his arcs so he won't bring her in untill he is finished with whatever he is doing now. Also, the next threat will probably be Mami. We saw her at the end of volume 30 if i am not wrong and the concluding statement was wondering what was up with her. So she will be the next external threat. Also i get what you are doing with the post. But copying from tik tok?! Ewwww. Lol.
