Most Interesting Jumpchain Backstory Ideas
By - fanficwriter1994
My short-chains for a while have been trending on a certain backstory that's being realized now in my newest one.
Not all benefactors are equal in power and experience, and most are not as perfect as they pretend to be. There's one with some pretty bad social-anxiety who spends all their time shut up in their one-room apartment personal-reality just binging media from across time and space. Eventually they get the same idea a lot of Jumper's get. Let's find a protagonist out there to uplift, and become friends with.
So over the millennia of human civilization here on Earth 616, probably one of the more boring and mundane worlds out there, this one benefactor has been approaching people trying to send them on a chain! Each time... something goes wrong. The lucky ones cease to have ever existed, some are stranded insane in the void between realities, some have no mouth and yet must scream.... and each time this benefactor goes into a depression fit for a few centuries, tweaks the agreement which lays out how they will aid the jumper (the strength and circumstances of fiat basically), and tries again hoping one survives.
One day sometime in the early 2020's, some random person is binging Rescue Rangers on a questionable website that required they turn off their pop-up blocker and click an ad this benefactor put up looking for potential jumpers. This person just happened to be the first.
Next time they went to check the mail, there was a big envelope inside marked 'urgent' and 'for addressee's eyes only' and other such stuff. Inside was a parchment contract detailing the allowances and restrictions of benefactor fiat that would be enforced during the Jumpchain, a body-mod document designed to look like a personal survey, and an application form to Jumper High Vocational School. Bored, thinking the whole thing some kind of wierd joke or confusing hoax, this random person filled it all out, signed it, planned to frame and hang the old fashioned looking parchment contract as a conversation piece and curio...
Then Maple woke up in a camper van in the woods behind a high school, what would turn out to be their high school, without the faintest clue of who, what, where, why, when or how. They knew things... like basic math or how to speak english or how to do a cartwheel, but couldn't tell how how they knew those things, where they learned them from, why they know them and so on. They had no personal memories to speak of, and honestly were surprised to learn they existed before waking up that morning.
They had to figure out who they were by studying their school ID and application papers (the same documents they filled out before waking up in the camper van an amnesiac), had to learn what they were in their classes at school (the curriculum of which is centered around jumpchain), had to go through an identity crisis where they were crumbling under the pressure of trying to live up to expectations they don't know of somebody they can't remember and will never meet. Fun stuff.
Wow, a lot harsher than the time I had a Jumper register for a "Jumpchain RP Forum" only to find themselves in, well, a Jumpchain.
Also why the amnesia? Generic First or...?
Technically a drawback from Generic First yeah, but I took it as much for the amnesia as I did for the points.
For a start, I like the dramatic irony of somebody from the jumpchain community (me) undergoing identity death because they were too skeptical to believe all their wildest dreams just came true.
Secondly because I really am that cynical if the whole thing was over with paperwork.
Thirdly, I inititally intended it to be the benefactors idea, and Jumper just didn't read the fine print.
Fourthly, I like the mental image of Maple rummaging through their own camper van uncomfortably wondering if they are home or have been kidnapped XD
Finally, its an interesting thought experiment for me trying to reduce myself to raw personality without context.
At this point I honestly don't know who'se fault it is, but it's fiated now, and honestly it's not likely to be properly overcome until spark, if ever. Maple is best of coming to terms with just being who they are now, rather than who they can't remember.
Wouldn't the Drawback fall away after Generic First Jump? And is that school just the framing tool for Gen First or are you actually using it on all Jumps?
The school bit is just a framing tool for Generic First Jump, and a way for me to have a prepared and knowledgeable jumper with the amnesia drawback, as well as I think a fun concept for their first jump.
The amnesia will not just vanish because I (and by extension the benefactor) is a bit of an ass to their Jumpers and therefore non-setting-specific drawbacks tend to persist. It adds higher stakes to taking drawbacks, provides interesting distinctions between alt-forms, and can eventually provide fun narrative opportunities for overcoming them (always after the jump they are taken in, of course).
Would be a bit difficult to put some of those in I'd imagine.
Also you're being mean to your Jumper there.
Also if you think that's harsh, you should read the contract. My Jumper's don't get the easy-going power-fiat many take for granted. You can view the rules on the Cosmic Contract page [here](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ox5_FLKHSGs6HtyL8qIom7eykn6pfj7izv5cdkwEyNM/edit#gid=1339516946). I just have to work out what happens in 2.5 more levels (I know sci-fi I'm just braindead on the summary) and I'll finally actually be heading on the chain proper XD
Well, it was a lot of info, though it didn't seem to have the contract details as far as I could tell.
Also my Jumper has so far in terms of titles, as of writing standpoint, not pre-made builds, the titles "Queen of Heroes" (was Gilgamesh in her run of Oasis of Fantasy), Grecian Empress (Conquered Greece and the Mediterranean coast from Greece to Egypt clockwise and from Greece to the other side of Italy Counterclockwise, taking the entire peninsula.
Also inventor of the first "Fire Poles", which were rifled guns. Yes, Jumper made rifles and equipped her army with them. Conqueror Origin you know? Also was the first person to use gunpowder barrels for breaking down walls. Poor Troyans, at least they got spared annihilation by her negotiating annexation of the city for herself with this rapid end of the siege.
Also, note that she was in the Siege of Troy as Queen of Sparta (bought the 300 Good Men Item, so that's why) at the start of the jump and spent a few years preparing before conquering Greece and campaigning East, until conquering Egypt, then rested for a few years and let settle the new territories down, before beginning a new campaign with several times more troops, thousands of rifleman and now even Elephant riders and armored, covered Charriots.
And how did she do this? She had a large fleet of Galleon-style warships for troop transport, though it took a few years since she took the time to pacify conquered coastal regions each time to ensure she doesn't need to rush back to quell rebellion like she was leader of Caesar's Legion (FNV)
One of my early chain ideas was to have Halfrek, the vengeance demon from BTVS, patron of neglected children (in this case an abused gay teenager) as the benefactor.
Instead of wishing horrible things on his parentshthe kid wishes to become a Jumper so he could escape his life.
As an unintentional bonus, Halfrek moves up the ladder from Vengeance Demon to Benefactor, though to make it more interesting I had this as a temporary feat tied to her pendant (meaning destroying the pendant would end the chain and stealing it meant stealing the Benefactor status). The only way for her to retain the power was for her Wish!Jumper to Spark out.
On the other hand, she had to play by the chain's rules, but her only experience with reality warping was demonically inclined so I had her twist every world a little bit, resolved ambiguous lines in drawbacks to be worse and inserted some minor changes in every jump.
Honestly, I don't know shit about Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which took me forever to realize what BTVS stands for since, well, not a Buffy Fan, first time I heard of that was from a Nanoha crossover where one of Nanoha's friends was actually a Vampire, separate from Buffy Vampires who are called "Vamps" here, like in the game of which MGLN is an AU Spin-Off.
Visual Novel Game.
Anyway, better than Q from Star Trek if you ask me, or that weird Imp guy from DC. or Bill Cypher or the Zenoh from Dragonball Super.
Edit: For clarification on the fanfic, that friend of Nanoha, I think it was the purple haired girl, though I'm not sure, went to Sunnydale on behalf of her clan or whatever because of the Vamp problem and got kind of pissed because, well, those idiots who convinced them to leave the whole Vamps problem to them made a single Slayer. For a Global Problem.
You don't happen to remember the name of the fanfic? \*whistling innocently\*
And the friend would be Suzuka, because in one of the story variations where some of the same characters are used(Triangle heart and Nanoha series etc), she(and her family) IS a vampire(and Arisa is a ghost).
Also, even if you're not a "Buffy-fan", the TV-series is totally worth seeing at least once, and though while some like the spinoff Angel series as well, i think it devalues the original in a really bad way as well as being nowhere near as good.
Only Nanoha/Buffy Crossover, I checked and am restarting reading it. Name's "[History Bites Back](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/8677658/1/History-bites-back)", and it's on [Fanfiction.net](https://Fanfiction.net).
Also am now tempted to add Buffy to that chain with the "Went through all Fate Legends Jumps" Jumper, just to have a Saber Face, Ahoge Sporting 4 years old looking girl whose default form is her Gilgamesh persona, dusting 5 or 6 Vampires in under 2 seconds before giving a small speech a'la Goku before explaining what she is, which after Saber Wars would be a literal Servant as there it's a Perk and not an origin.
>Only Nanoha/Buffy Crossover, I checked and am restarting reading it. Name's "
>History Bites Back
Guessed it! Your description of it was really good.
Good to see someone enjoying it. And sorry for the absurdly long hiatus on it. Health issues getting worse made me kinda fall out of active writing (just as i was starting to get somewhere, darnit!), cutting down my writing speed by about 99%.
Still, the next chapter has been mostly finished for years, and there's a bunch of pieces of chapters getting worked on and added to occasionally, so it's not dead, just pining slightly for the fjords. :)
And clearly, you must give in to such a temptation! Sounds like it could be fun.
Oh? You're the actual author? Cool :D
And yeah, it would be funny. Am thinking of a talk like this:
"Me? I am the First Hero of Humanity, the Saber who stood up against all gods who tried to oppress us, Protector of Mankind, a Light in the ignorance. I am Truth. Nightmare of Evil and Ally to you! I am the King of Heroes, Servant Saber of Gold, Gilgamesh!"
How funny this is would depend on whether or not the Frieza Saga aired around the time of BTVS and if Buffy would be the kind of person to watch Anime.
If no to either, very hilarious from the sheer exasperation of Jumper having reference lost. If yes, still funny, just less so because Buffy will be like "WTF girl?"
Also, how likely is Buffy to know the name Gilgamesh actually? Pretty sure FSN wasn't even a Visual Novel yet during BTVS's time period just because it seems to be a fairly early 2000s or so series.
>How funny this is would depend on whether or not the Frieza Saga aired around the time of BTVS and if Buffy would be the kind of person to watch Anime.
Buffy isn't, but Xander definitely is, and him getting the others to join him as a "chill and relax" day, certainly plausible at least.
The Gilgamesh epic is one of history's oldest surviving texts, over 2 thousand years old for the last known version and closer to FOUR thousand years for the oldest one, with the almost certainly REAL Gilgamesh probably being king of Uruk sometime 4 to 5 thousand years ago, most likely sometime 2500-2800 BC.
The version found in the library of Ashurbanipal also caused plenty of annoyance and controversy among christians when it was translated in the 19th century due to repeated similiarities with the bible, suggesting that the bible was at least in part just borrowed parts from the much earlier Gilgamesh epic. Or in other words, the cheap knockoff copy-paste version.
So, Buffy is somewhat likely to know of the realworld historical Gilgamesh at least. Most places seem to cover it in high school if you take the right classes.
Either way, definitely suggest you look up "Epic of Gilgamesh" on wikipedia and go from there. The story has probably influenced lots of later stories so it's very worth knowing at least the highlights.
And yup, that's me. And it's terribly annoying not having got around to updating in so long, but the years just stampede away, leaving you behind in the dustcloud wondering where they went.
To be fair, in this case the FSN version is more relevant though Jumper had a very different adventure than Gilgamesh. For one Ishtar didn't marrying Jumper, she just got horny around year 5 after leading the world's first fashion megacorp in Uruk.
Enkidu still showed up an a god antagonized Jumper Gil, but that didn't go so well for the latter since Jumper has little tollerance for gods who think they should be allowed to enforce their will on humanity and kills the bastard.
If you want to know which god, I can't remember the name, if you look up Mesopotamian gods and search "Evil" he'll be the first or second hit as he was called the Evil God among other things.
It did scare the rest of the gods into giving up the scheme, considering Jumper murderized the guy using Azrael.
As for the Bible vs Epic of Gilgamesh, well, duh.
The Bible is about as original as the Sequel Trilogy of Star Wars, changing some details and names but following a the plot of many other myths. Noah's Flood in particular was a rip-off of a flood myth told in the Epic of Gilgamesh for example.
Aha, ok, i misread what you meant then...
>As for the Bible vs Epic of Gilgamesh, well, duh.

Still funny how much arguing and accusations of heresy among other things it caused.
Not so funny for all the cultures annihilated by Christians forcefully converting or annihilating their populations.
Ask the Celts, Germanians, Gauls, Norsemen, South-African Slaves and all North and Central American tribes how they liked the imperialism of Christians, including the United States of America during it's Westward expansion and Christopher-Motherfucking-Columbus.
Beep. Boop. I'm a robot.

Since i came up with it, i have tended to use variations on the theme of a damaged "Warehouse" severely lacking a jumpchan temporarily attaching itself to the nearest convenient reality to get someone onboard to help with the repairs that are so inconvenient that it would take million times longer to do it without help(because a Warehouse isn't supposed to be stuck without being able to "phone home" AND be without a jumpchan and jumper).
And in return, mr "not quite kidnapped" gets to be jumper.
The origin of this simple story was that i wanted to use the "Without why" drawback, but didn't quite like its description, so i twisted it around a little(and now i don't even use the drawback, but still use the story).
It also means that something killed or got rid of a jumpchan and damaged a Warehouse so badly that it's basically memorywiped and left adrift in the middle of nowhere, and whatever did that may still be around and be a potential BIG trouble in the future of said jumper.
For the Omnipotent Entertainment Network Corporation :D
Also 100% compatible with Essjay's own world building as another Jumper of her's, I think it was the Omake #2 series jumper, not sure, with the same general continuity also got to deal with an Intern of Banker and Mensarius' organization.
As for your story... a bit odd. Does it mean that the Jumper has somewhat access to the dimensional navigation system of the Warehouse, more than normal that is? And how does this work without oversight of something to regulate and power fiat?
>As for your story... a bit odd. Does it mean that the Jumper has somewhat access to the dimensional navigation system of the Warehouse, more than normal that is? And how does this work without oversight of something to regulate and power fiat?
Sort of. It's why i let him use multiple meta supplements and stretch the rules a bit. Essentially he's got a limited "Admin account access" to the system, letting him get at some test and debug features.
It's not a completely "do what you want", so the oversight and regulation is essentially reduced to the inherent baseline limitations of the system which simply can't do something it isn't designed to do. Effectively, it's just jumpchain with somewhat looser rules.
And the holographic backup jumpchan instead of the original, being VERY helpful because something got rid of the original and she really doesn't want to run into whatever that was without some serious preparations. :)
In short, it's an excuse to not stick to all the annoying "rules" that were originally screamed loudly about as rocksolid nonoptionals and being stupidly annoying about it by so many people.
The word you're searching is House Rules, in regards to work arounds.
Would seem a bit complicated for myself if I'm being honest, I'm a bit of a stickler to "Jump-chan handles shit" kind of guy.
Meh, the differences in practice is really minimal, and once i had come up with the backstory to use the "Without why" drawback the first time, it was just so very easy to keep using it and refine it over time.
I think the biggest complication is likely how much "larger" each individual jump tends to end up because there's more CP and nearly always multiple jump documents used, sometimes as fusions/crossovers and sometimes merely supplements. But doing it like this also allows some extra fun so it's worth it.
And yeah, houserules works, but i wanted to come up with a justification for it to NOT be houserules and still let me play around with the rules. :)
I'm just contrary like that. ;)
I generally just drop Jumpers in a Jump or pair it with "The Hub" so they drop in The Hub with no clue unless it is a IRL modern person instead of a Harry Potter when I use "Without Why", which I've been using for a while because I was too lazy.
This is a pretty nice premise. I like.
You can use that if you want, for a Benefactor workplace. You could set the 5-Minute Cup Noodles Gauntlet in the HQ of that company actually :D
One idea which I started on at the same time as my current chain but got distracted by said current chain. I'm going to properly work through once the current chain is finished.
It's based on a fanfic I tried to write some time ago. Jumper is an Anna DeWitt / Elizabeth from Bioshock, who started falling through the tears. She ran into another one of herself, and the two of them are actually running from the self-destructive path the rest of their dimensional sisters are hell-bent on. Occasionally the Lutece twins stop by for tea and give them cryptic advice nudging them towards something that they have yet to realise.
The jumpchain is working with a lot of house rules and extras taken from the universal drawbacks. Big four are no CP except from drawbacks, no perks or items that can't be naturally learned or obtained in the jump itself, no warehouse so everything has to be carried on through and origin must always be drop-in with no alt-forms unless it's something they specifically pick up on the way.
\--- **Lots of text ahead** \---
My current jumpchain is Neverland is a Lotus Eating Machine that shapes itself around Peter's wants and desires. However this living dream requires new dreams, memories and experiences to keep itself alive.
Neverland set a trap, the how and what are unimportant, and Jumper took the bait.
Their memories taken, they found themselves transformed into one of the Lagoon Mermaids, their role in this narrative now fulfilled. Most the decade was spent living as a vainglorious mermaid however during their time they met, and became fast friends with, the fairy born from their first laugh.
As a human.
This puzzle, knowing they were human without knowing life as a human had them begin to try as solve what happen. Adventure and second amnesia happen.
This all eventuated with Neverland finally explaining itself to them and giving them an honest question, steal away their memories one last time and let them live an idyllic life as a mermaid or they could 'wake up'.
On waking, they were sitting on a small sandy island under a solitary palm alongside the Mermaids they bonded closest with as sisters, as well as their fairy. And still next to no memories of their former life.
Jump two, Minecraft Ocean Biome Only. This Island was a child of Neverland, left to them to be guardian over and Minecraft was essentially the beginning of it's own Lotus Eating Dream.
The Jumps themselves is the island connecting to other settings to gather more dreams and experiences whilst it grows, the end goal of the 'Spark' is when the Island reaches maturity and it, along with Jumper and it's residents, can come and go when and where they want.
The three big rules with this chain is that:
\- Jumper has no meta knowledge of any setting, they are jumping blind due to their original amnesia.
\- They must pick up at least one companion in every jump, Island needs to feed after all. Though there is no forced amnesia this time and they are making sure to obtain informed consent off everyone.
\- The Island, and everything and everyone on it, carry from jump to jump. No pocket-dimension warehouses to hide away.
The Island has grown over the jumps, became an archipelago, then a few archipelagos more, eventually it was imported to an entire planet of it's own. Jumper uses a flying saucer to go back and forth between Earth and the world, or even a number of hidden gateways which connect between this planet and the world of the current setting, typically Earth.
Though this child of Neverland is now a full planet and it's own moon, Amphitrite and Rhodos, it's still just called The Island by Jumper and co, and is a sapient and cognizant genius loci.
As it's the 'Jumper-Chan' benefactor, it receives any and all perks Jumper and and companions receive and is unaffected by drawbacks, however it's also a Lotus Eater Machine, just like it's mother Neverland, and so is almost solely focused on creating it's dream, the aforementioned Island itself and will not ever intervene except to protect itself personally from attack. Significant damage to itself however, as long as the Jumper remains alive and cognisant, would simply have it flee the current Jump dragging anything left along to escape, ending the Jump early.
Only Jumper's actual death, severance from the Island or otherwise significant, irreversible mental trauma, corruption or affliction can actually kill the Island. Which would not just be a chain fail, but the loss of any and all powers, perks, many items, properties and locales. Jumper and companions would be left when and where this took place in their native bodies. A fatal outcome for everyone currently on the planet as it vanishes from around them.
Jumper's long-term plan, once the Island has matured, is to finally return to the original Neverland that started this and get their memories back, if any still remain. Neverland has a habit of forgetting things once they've served their narrative purpose.
And yes, this means that Peter himself is a Jumper in this chain who has long since obtained his 'spark', though one who is barely aware of this fact as he desires nothing more then an endless adventure and Neverland is more then eager to support him in this.
This is actually incredibly fun and creative!
Thank you. It's been a lot of work and a rewrite from how the chain was first going.
I'm hoping to get it all done up as a story, or at the very least short stories done for each individual jump.
My Excommunicado, Grand Peerage, and Danmachi jumpers are my favorite so far. Tower of God jumper I keep getting writers block on. I want to like it (duh, otherwise it wouldn't be happening...), but its just strangely difficult.
Though that mess in One Piece was pretty fun too, two jumper mes and a SI!me met and formed a crew together to troll the world (and native! One Piece me in particular).
A lot of weird ideas, I admit it.
Also, have we talked before? I'm fairly sure I read this stuff before. Either on Spacebattles or here.
Yeah, your 'oddest excuse for a chain' thread a couple months ago :P
I do these a lot, don't I?
Kind of lose track of some of these after a while.
Hey, my post is here! Cool!
I had an idea for a Jumpchain fic that I lost motivation on after I drafted the first chapter.
The jumper's - Quill's - home jump was Generic Gamer (with the drawback that gives everyone gamer powers). Essentially, The System manifested and threw society into semi-chaos for a few months, until people started getting things back in order.
Quill has a latent spark who wants them to awaken their true potential, so a year after The System manifested, it sends them on a chain with no warning. They don't know what's going on or what their builds are.
The Spark reveal was meant to come later, with the snarky narrator/benefactor having secretly been Quill's spark all along.
I was planning for the fic to be an exploration of what someone who's not really competent (at first) would *actually* do as a jumper.
With 1-year jumps instead of 10-year ones, they'd also have to deal with leaving everything and everyone outside their Warehouse behind every year.
Also, that plus an all-origins-drop-in rule means that they won't just age into wisdom - they'll still be a stupid twenty-something ten jumps in.
Their companions also wouldn't know what's going on, and Personal Reality rules means they'll probably end up kidnapping one or more people by accident before they figure out what's going on. Bonus points if their warehouse was being searched at the time.
Space Guy just asked jumper if he wants to be one in short summary.
My jumper is basically cosmic detritus. You see he technically doesn't have a benefactor. He was caught up in a surge of dimensional energy when a Benefactor uplifted a nearby person into a jumper. As a result he crash landed in a random town on an alternate earth. He did find a mentor though; or more precisely a mentor found him. Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg honed in on his extradimensional nature and judged him as a candidate to learn some tricks (Kaleidoscope)!
Needless to say, jumper got caught up in the Grail War; short version is that the damn grail exploded at the end of the War while jumper was trying to funnel the energy across a dozen dimensions to prevent Fuyuki City's annihilation! As a result jumper was blasting off again! (bye Rin!)
Now jumper dusted himself off and took and set out to figure out what world he landed and oh \*\*\*\* me that is a Black Ark full of Dark Elves. New world, wat do?
Well, from the fire into the Blast Furnace I'd say. That's WHFantasy, right?
Does he at least have a decent Servant?
He did. He summoned Ozymandias as a Caster. This caused a minor shuffling in the identities of each servant obviously but the war didn't truly go off the rails until Avenger manifested itself in the middle of the fighting.
Ozymandias as far as I know isn't exactly the kind of Caster who can deal with that, who did? Artoria? Gil after getting drunk with Ozy? Archer getting off his fat ass?
Also must be fairly grating to deal with somebody who can compete with Gil in a Ego Contest.
Caster was actuality one of the dominant forces in the war. (EX Rank noble phantasm). And its not that difficult to get along with someone you have tension with when your ass is in the firing line. Also Gil and Ozzy hanging out was hilarious!
We killed Avenger (who was channeling the energy of previous Grail wars) by tag teaming with Artoria and Shirou. Short version was dragging Avenger inside of Ozzy's Ramesseum Tentyris: The Shining Great Temple Complex noble and phantasm and subjecting him to the divine curses stored within; while Artoria charged and blasted in him with a full bore Excalibur. He didn't put up much fight after that. That was the penultimate battle though.
The other fights were a mix-up of matches that went several didn't directions: the first time we encountered Saber and Shirou we forced them to retreat. Archer (EMIYA) was the one who stalled and/or confounded us the most because he was the only one to intuit Ozymandias's magecraft was based off the Godly blessings and curses stemming from his reality marble. Well Archer also had a reality marble and kept managing to deploy nps at a speed equaling our magic spells. It was quite vexing.
We soloed Rider in about 2 minutes cause Shinji was doing the fake master thing and she was weakened. Berserker died to some asymmetrical warfare from both Archer/Rin and us teaming to defeat a binger fish. (Dendara electric Bulb finisher for the win!) We never even met Assassin (Hassan of Serenity) but figured out later she was killed by Lancer (CuChulain). Lancer died to Saber when he trapped her in that no-retreat runic array of his (note to self: learn runes).
Archer... I'm not sure what happened but after Avenger's destruction he kidnapped Shirou into UBW and they somehow mutual killed each other. That really broke my heart cause Shirou and I were becoming fire forged friends at that point. Asa result Saber contracted with Rin and we noticed the buildup of energy in the grail; a final screw you from Avenger it seems. I began my spell that would disperse the energy across multiple worlds but it built up to fast and the grail exploded.
I wound up being thrown across worlds and I felt my connection to Caster snapping, I can only assume he was lost in the explosion. I think Rin and Saber reached minimal safe distance but I'm not sure. But in the end we stopped the Grail from destroying Fuyuki so I guess it was a win.
Now I'm in a new world and the only thing to do is move forward, cause if I don't I don't think Ill survive. (On the upside I siphoned some power from the grail and used the Kaleidoscope to scan the local area and transformed myself into One of the dominant local lifeforms; which is a Dark Elf so Ill hopefully be able to blend in with their society till I can escape somewhere safer.
Wait, you didn't get to keep Ozymandias basically as a companion? And you still sent the Jumper to WHF?
It will take a miracle to reunite with Ozymandias, but there are world's out there where miracles can be achieved and make no mistake; I will find them!
There is always the Fate Legends series, Oasis of Fantasy is explicitly inclusive for Egypt after all.
Or is that impossible? Another option would be going to another timeline of the FSN reality, such as Fate/Extra, Fate/Apocrypha and so on, and naturally Fate/Grand Order is another option since it even comes with a "If you met this guy in the past, he'll remember you" perk.
For my first Jumper his Jump-Chan Elosha discovered multiversal travel on her earth in her travels she came across a malevolent entity bent on consuming all life she accidently made it aware of the multiverse, she escaped back to her world to warn everybody they all put up a good fight but ultimately failed during her escape she was exposed to multiversal energies granting her God-like abilties she figured that if she were to create a hero then maybe she can correct her mistake she failed the first few time but succeeded in finding her hero, The Jumper who happens to be an alternate universe version of well me so yeah there you go
For my second Jumper Ten, Ten is a nonbinary genderfluid shapeshifter from a technologically advanced version of Earth they were part of an enhanced soldier program they managed to escape of course and thats when their Benefactor The Handler came, now The Handler is just your friendly neighborhood cosmic entity who likes to play games with unsuspecting mortals he happened to choose Ten because they looked interesting
Jenny well you know her story if not long story short she was created from the Doctor's DNA via a birth machine I don't want to spoil to much but basically she leaves on her own adventures and thats where her Jump-Chan Being X comes in she wants wants a BFF and figured an adventurous girl like Jenny would be perfect, she tried before with another Jumper but he was so upset about being taken from his world he actually tried to kill her the moment he sparked she managed to get away in time though
Kylee well her story is not that interesting but she was just a lowly waitress the The Star Man saved from what would've been a fatal gun shot but unfortunately she can't return until she sparks as her death is a fixed point even with immortality perks fate will still find a way to correct itself
Being X is a very unfortunate name, you know that?
As for the others... I can only assume the only way to make the first Jumper strong enough is End-Jump Sparking, right?
Also Being X Benefactor... really needs to learn to ask first if that first jumper they had is anything to go by.
Yes you're right about the first Jumper as for Being X to be fair she figured giving her first Jumper a chance to see other worlds was a fair trade but he was to upset to see that in fact he had been planning her demise since he started but he knew wouldn't be strong enough until he sparked, he'd been spending a lot of time killing gods and other godlike beings prepping himself for the final confrontation
The name may have been cursed if I'm being honest, Being X being associated with the biggest divine asshole around, whether he is the generally based on Abrahamic Ass based Anime and Light Novel version (I think he wasn't an amalgamation in the LN but I could be wrong) or the amalgamation of megalomaniac deities from the Manga.
So yeah, dropped the ball on naming herself there. Jinxed herself with that name.
Yeah you're right
Being X is pretty high up on my "Murderize so hard they loop 20 times back to live before finishing them at murderizing 21" list, right after the entire Records of Ragnarok pantheon with the exception of the few that stayed against genocide.
Yeah, not a fan of Zeus and company. Though I'd get a Perk Sharing ability to give Adam "Harmony" so he wouldn't be negatively affected by his overuse of his eyes, thus outlasting Zeus.
Hell I'd probably do the same thing too
Considering my current Jumper can absolutely destroy these gods, since "Dusty Key of Babylonia" is an item I got in Saber Wars and which is the key to Gilgamesh's Proto Phantasm Collection from canon, as opposed to a Perk that gives you a Gate of Babylon full of mundane and magical items made by humans, and only special ones.
Not Noble Phantasms though.
Well, it also contains the Chains of Heaven, unlike "Collector" does.
One for an upcoming jumper Sonic. Escaped from .exe with only his family, Amy, Cream, Sally, Vanilla, Ermel and Big. Everyone else is gone or in the sol dimension (Silver, Blaze, and Marine)
