Mithrandir, will FDE return?
Eventually when it’s worth running 1000 pieces.
What's up with the KP9? It doesn't look like anything has changed on the website in a few months. What were the biggest challenges in development of the KP9 vs KP15?
Also, when was the last time you went clean-shaven?
We’ve been going through a series of revisions to the KP-9 first because of an oversight on the front lug dimensions being directly copied from our aluminum 9mm lower (needed to be thicker), then to fully fill an area by the mag catch. Currently working on the mag catch mold itself. Production will begin soon.
Nothing particularly challenging aside from getting the Ambi Glock magazine catch to work.
Probably 8 year since I was clean shaven for a security company job. I first grew a goatee in 2011.
The goatee is a good look.
First, love the product and the team's headspace developing it. Great job bringing this to market. I just bought a 2nd.
Any production metrics you can share? Like:
How many molded to ship 35k receivers? (I assume that's 35k across all SKUs?)
Qty per color produced?
At what rate do you get contacted by a customer with a problem?
Of those, how many result in more serous action like RMA/replacement?
Maybe a few hundred extra that were scrapped process or short shots.
Around 5000 FDE, 2000 OD green, the rest black
We’ve shipped around 30,000.
About 120 returns so far for any reason. About half replaced.
That's fantastic. When the KP-15 becomes as popular as it deserves to be, sounds like you guys are set up to do pretty well.
I figured with your other comments about mold changes and welding, more would be dying in secondary processes. But I'm not a plastics guy so who am I to say it can't all be reworked?
> About 120 returns so far for any reason. About half replaced.
Damn 0.4%? That's a really good failure rate.
Are there any thoughts for a KP-15 gen 2 and what changes it could entail or have you guys accepted that you created the perfect poly lower already?
No, we’re only just 1 year into production and sales. The mold is rated for a million parts and we’ve only made 35,000
There is one manufacturing refinement I want to add which would be a weld tab on the top of the stock like the KP-9, but the end user would never know it was there.
What does the weld tab do? Does it act as a point of reference for the friction welder?
Yes and holds alignment
Could you not still add the tabs to the mold now? Or not worth going through and dealing with messing with all the fixtures
We can do it. But it’s a matter of timing and money
Any chance of an even more budget friendly CDR? Like, one using the MILSPEC lower? Some of us are poor college students who also can't buy the lowers to budget build because of stupid federal age restrictions.
Maybe. Excise tax makes cheaper models of complete rifles less appealing to us. Whatever the price Uncle Sam takes 11% and the cheaper models inherently have less profit to make doing complete guns worth the hassle.
Speaking of tax, How is your/KE's relationship with the local AFT office?
You realize just asking that is like saying Beetlejuice 3 times.
Our last inspection was over in 4 hours.
We don’t do 4473 transactions.
All transfers are to dealers only.
Manufacturers should all follow this model to make their lives easier.
I'll go piss on a grave for you. Knowing your involvement with cav arms i know how you feel about those people. And knowing the cav arms story i know why you give that advice.
Fuck a fed
That make sense. I always forget about the 11% theft.
You could buy a cheap KP15 and build it yourself or buy the milspec one, then a not very expensive complete upper...good to go!
Not sure how many pencil barreled ones are out there though.
No can do. Not 21 yet.
I don't think there is a federal age restriction with these? Unlike an AR, these receivers cannot ever be a pistol.
From the 4473:
>If a frame or receiver can only be made into a long gun (rifle or shotgun), it is still a frame or receiver, not a handgun or long gun. All frames and receivers are "firearms" by definition, and subject to the same GCA limitations. [...] unlawful for a licensee to sell any firearm other than a shotgun or rifle to any person under the age of 21.
You might be able to have a local shop make you a rifle with parts you choose from a KP-15 lower, but they will need to be licensed as a manufacturer.
Negative. It says right on the KE Arms website that you have to be 21.
I don't have a specific question, I just wanted to say thank you for everything you've done in this sub, in Inrange, and on the KP-15 project. Your updates and responsiveness to questions/concerns/problems/etc. has been awesome! This also extends to everyone working at KE Arms!
Likewise, thank you!
Has your work-life schedule gotten any better? I seem to remember some updates y'all were burning the midnight oil with multiple wicks, and I hope that's gotten easier!
On a different note: Any lizard updates?
I’m working 50 hours a week instead of 70-80.
Just the one bearded dragon left, She’s currently in brumation.
What's your preferred sling setup/mounting points for the WWSD layout? I bought a QD socket from KE but can't decide what sling to buy or even if I want to use the QD socket location at all. I'm left handed like yourself if it matters.
I use the easy sling adapter and HK hook mounting on the handguard.
The QD socket is in a single point sling position and other than SBRs I don’t like single point slings.
Have you tested any interesting optics lately?
The US Optics 1-6 I just got is pretty decent for the price point.
I also just got a Steiner red dot for pistols. Review will eventually be up on in range
Sounds cool, have you gotten the Steiner onto anything yet?
Yeah haven’t had time to zero it yet
Ah well. I’ll keep an eye out for that review. I’m trying to plan ahead to possibly put an optic on a CZ SP-01. Trying to stay abreast of things in the pistol optics area.
The other videos stay close to the other side of the door. Curious to hear the rant InRangeTV is about to make.
As far as I know, the KP15 is only rated for 5.56, so you wouldn’t be liable if something went wrong if someone were to, hypothetically, use a .458 SOCOM upper. That said, how bad of an idea do you think that would be (not trying to bait you into saying something that you’ll have to stand by in court, just wondering if the lower would be able to withstand a moderate amount of shooting with that caliber)
I think with the heaviest buffer system possible it would last a life time as a hunting gun (zeroing and a few rounds a year)
I don’t know how many thousands of rounds it would last if one were to use it for general screwing around and just wanted to burn up ammo.
Because we cannot test to the point of failure we say that .50 Beowulf, .458 socom etc are all use at your own risk.
Just for reference I did a 450 Bushmaster and it functions well with an H3 and sprinco orange. Only issue I had was the KE Ambi catch was dropping the mag in recoil. I swapped it to a mil spec catch with an enhanced power spring from forward controls and the issue went away. Probably won't keep it in that configuration I just was curious if it was possible.
If the cost to do so wasn't an issue, what's one feature you would want to add to the KP-15?
Drill the selector detent hole all the way through the grip and cap it with a screw.
I'm an idiot with a mill, have you done one like this? I'd like to see what you did
Just as an experiment on one that was already messed up.
I need to do it on a good one.
Any other color plans besides black, FDE, and ODG?
No, the minimum number we have to run to make it worth it and the testing process makes me reluctant to offer more variety.
No glow in the dark or hot pink models? Damn.
Do they cerakote other things? I want to get my Magpul sga Mossberg stock colored Magpul plum to match the handguard.
You can dye it to a perfect match. Assuming you have FDE colored polymer to start with. https://www.reddit.com/r/Kalashaholics/comments/jb8js7/the\_echo\_nine\_three\_plum\_dye\_method\_see/

Don’t let your dreams be dreams
What question do you get the most? What question has been the most worrying?
People asking how easy it is to make full auto and other fed-bait questions.
For the record what I've gathered from being here more than 5 minutes is KP-308 never due to the high inital cost, low return and parts compatibility issues?
Love the KP-15, have a lower in every color.
You are correct unless someone wants to fund the development or commit to a minimum order
Hey man if it helps the cause I'll commit to a minimum order of 1.
He pretty much said exactly that in previous posts. I would also love a KP-308 but don’t have the $500k to finance it (yet lol).
If I'm financing anything (which I can't) it'd be glow in the dark KP15s.
Stegosaurus KP 15 when?
I’m not sure what that would even be?
Spikes on the stock, obviously
Horses love Stegosauruses!
A WKUK reference - very well cultured, my friend
Do you ever host training classes?
Yes when enough people want to take one.
I know that Karl and Ian think that grip-angle doesn’t matter as much as people say it does (and that there’s little difference in performance between a modern, steeper angle than the more traditional ones). Did you ever consider using a different grip angle for the KP15?
No I didn’t.
Steeper angle grips are for shorter stock lengths like running a collapsible all the way in.
I do not believe this is relevant for the 13” LOP stock on the KP-15. The grip angle mirrors a Magpul MOE that are sold in the hundreds of thousands annually.
The people complaining about wanting a more vertical grip are equally unlikely to purchase the lower because of the fixed stock/length.
What’s your opinion on FSB builds for a WWSD-ish carbine mounting a red dot? Are irons still relevant enough to pay the weight penalty, assuming you have done what you can to save weight elsewhere like the KP-15 lower, slick upper, and pencil barrel?
Trying to decide whether to go with a FSB build on my OD green lower.
I have both. Build whatever you think looks cool. The weight isn’t enough to worry about.
My feeling on Irons is they are a talisman to ward off Murphy’s Law of optic failure.
Having a fixed front sight will change the length of handguard you can use and how you can mount a light.
Here’s my OD green with front sight build in action: https://youtu.be/-UvTnC2N6YU
Not sure what to ask, but I got into competitive shooting a few years ago from being confident enough to go from your channels content.
Went from not last to winning my first one this past year. Do you have any general overarching advice to get a little extra edge? Feel like I hover mostly around top 15 but that last 10% feels like it's always so close/ competitive
Focus on process not results
Focus on efficiency rather than speed
Use the same guns/optics all the time
Thank you v much
Do you think faxon gasport size is too big? Also your thoughts on adjustable gas blocks, worth it or just a way to make your gun less reliable?
It’s sized perfectly for steel cased ammo.
I prefer to use weights and springs to regulate bolt speed vs adjustable gas blocks. If you get one, get one that clicks rather than a set screw style.
Do you have any experience with the Superlative Arms AGB? Observations regarding its reliability in matches, etc.?
Never tried it.
I only have one rifle with an adjustable gas block and it’s a Wilson combat system
I run a SA Adjustable Gas Block on my WWSD home build. Faxon pencil 14.5 pin and weld w/ KP-15 lower.
The SA AGB works very well for me. I decided to go this route due to running it suppressed 95% of the time. My Faxon barrel is atrociously over gassed for a suppressor. (Sandman S). Combined with the JP Silent Capture buffer system the rifle runs like a dream. No reliability issues in ~3000 rounds and 2 Desert Brutalities.
Anecdotally it runs like a Geissele. have a buddy with a 14.5 Geissele pin and weld. And though he doesn't run suppressed, the recoil impulses are very similar. While the "impact" of the recoil is the same, the "rythm" is different.
Just gonna throw in there that Black River Tactical makes a ‘tunable’ gas tube (called the ‘EZ TUNE’) that’s specifically configured to your setup. About $75 shipped, and they offer accommodations for about every combo available.
It’s a simple, reliable way to tune your gun without worrying about an adjustable gas block. I just got one for my most recent build (FDE KP-15 lower, milspec BCG, milspec spring, H2 buffer, Faxon 18” 556 gunner, those are the main highlights I can go into more details later if anyone wants), and it works nicely, at least with the couple of dozen rounds I’ve been able to put through it so far.
One side note about it: being that I have it installed on a gun made entirely of brand-new parts, the tolerances/spring were too stiff, so I swapped it out with a spring that has over 1k rounds on it and it cycles perfectly now. Before, it was having trouble cycling back far enough, but now with a broken in spring, it’s flawless.
Can I install a Rare Breed FRT in a mil spec complete lower?
I’m told they do not fit
I have made one fit. It is possible
Nice! How does it function?
What gear, items, or stuff do you find most useful for range days, matches, or both? Are there things besides the obvious (guns, ammo, mags, etc) that you bring in your range bag to every outing due to their utility?
Cleaning kit, sight adjustment tools, wrenches for everything.
allens, socket, with a small ratchet drive or something similar and compact?
Thanks for the answer, I'm trying to both refine and pare down my range bag so it doesn't weight 50 pounds lol. Sounds like I'm on the right track so far!
Yes for anything on your guns or gear you may need to adjust or tighten.
Do you still shoot the SBR upper with linear comp that you took to tiger valley? I thought the recessed muzzle was a very clean look.
Not since that match, it got rebuilt into something else
Was there any consideration into making the kp-15 hardware included anything other than black oxide? Like nitrided? (I have only seen one instance of someone have rust on their takedown pins thus far)
No, they’re an off the shelf pin that comes coated by the manufacturer.
Should be a cheap aftermarket fix for those who worry.
Built a KP15 for my friend. Safety gets stuck. Used a geissele safety and the KP-15 detent. Do I have to drill it out and start over. If so is there a best way to drill it out?
You should contact [email protected] to handle your specific situation
Not to sound like I want to discourage you, but are you worried about KP-9 sales being affected by the buyer needing to either use a rifle length barrel or pay for an SBR tax stamp, with no option to have a carbine-style pistol and substitute a stock for a brace (which of course isn’t possible here because the monolithic stock is fixed)? I’m sure that the KP9 would excel as an SBR but I don’t know if enough people would be willing to pay for the paperwork to support their production
I think you over estimate how many people are building pistols vs full length rifles on 9mm platforms.
Entirely possible lol
I ask this realizing that time is a factor, but have you or Karl looked at any Swampfox optics for testing? I’ve got three myself but I’d be very interested in seeing you guys really put them through their paces. Seem to be in a really good spot on quality vs. price.
Also. Do you have any opinion on side charging AR uppers? They seem to be gaining in popularity. I know ambi capabilities vanish immediately, but is there something that you know that the rest of us don’t?
I had one of their 1x prisms but sold it when the Primary Arms 1x prism came out.
Side chargers have applications for mounting bigger optics that block access to the traditional charging handle.
Without naming names, have you received any requests for information or orders from law enforcement, or some military organisation for the KP-15?
No. But law enforcement buys through distribution like anyone else does.
The commercial market vastly out performs any potential law enforcement or military sales.
I use redwire gear slings and our easy sling adapter and HK hooks on the fore end.
Thoughts on a suppressed wwsd build?
I'm looking to slap a Gemtech integra 556 upper on my kp15 lower but I'm concerned about making the weight too forward heavy and adding counterweights seems extremely counter productive to the point of the kp15's light weight.
I think people worry about guns being front heavy and balance too much. If your accessories add actual benefit who cares?
Most of my guns are front heavy.
Fair point, I forget that most guns are front heavy (I spend a lot more time shooting my Tavor SAR than I do any traditional rifle)
I run my Wwsd 14.5 pin & weld with a Sandman-S. Yes, it changes the balance. It still takes a fully loaded D60, OWL, LPVO, suppressor and sling to approach 10 lbs.
Bottom line. I wouldn't worry about it. My rifle suppressed is still lighter than my buddies 11.5 suppressed rifle.
Thanks for this. I’m trying to decide on which sandman to get and I’m stuck. 😤
I went with the Sandman for its versatility. The whole "first cast must be .30 cal" thing. It is quite easy to find a lighter, quieter, and adequately durable dedicated 5.56 can.
I have a harvester, one of the old ones. I’m looking for a more durable can now. The weight on these just holds me back 😂
I saw your previous comment on the change of barrels on the complete rifles due to delivery schedule and was thinking about ordering one, if I order one from Brownells now will it be the BA barrel or still the Faxon one? It wasn’t clear on the website.
The last 165 units we shipped have BA barrels.
They have around 300 in inventory last I heard.
Currently nothing because I have a dozen or more different configurations and I never remember to swap contents between them.
I should add batteries to each for the optics that are on them.
Sorry to answer this question for you but you forgot to mention the tactical Skittles ration that is standard on any truly combat ready weapon system
Thanks for doing this! My question is about matches and physical fitness.
What kind of exercise routine, if any, do you observe to help with endurance in long matches? Do you do a specific exercise routine, or does physical fitness training for you just get folded into match training (i.e. practice in full kit *is* the workout)? My 2gun experience is limited, but at the end of a 10-hour match day i was positively wiped and i was wondering if you did any special training beyond the basic "move more".
sprints, squats, lunges, and burpees all replicate the movement expectations at matches.
You need to be able to go all out for 180 seconds every hour.
Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Performance is as much about mindset as it is actual physical capability.
Mentally defeating oneself because of the physical challenge/discomfort does as much if not more damage than not being in the best shape.
Pain is for off the clock.
Wow, appreciate the lightning fast response!
What distance do you zero red dots on your ARs and pistols? Also do you have a preferred magnifier and mount?
50 yards on rifles.
20 or 25 yards on pistols.
Sig Juliet 4X with Romeo 8T or 4T
Any plans for a cleaning kit insert for the stock? I think it would be a nice addition. I have a 3d printed one, but a properly designed one would be cooler.
No plans to do so. If we do it will be a sewn bag.
Favorite barrel profile?
Rattlecan or cerakote on a kp-15? I think I’d rather wait and get your homies at we plead the 2nd to do something with mine rather than fucking it up myself.
Depends on immediate gratification vs waiting and how good of a job you think you can do.
So you've shipped about 35k lowers, how does that compare to how many cav arms/GWACS lowers that were made? Do you guys even know how many of those were sold over the years? I'm wondering if the KP-15 has surpassed them in number yet or not. It's clearly a superior product (love my ODG one) but I know the old ones had a few decade head start.
We’ve produced 35k.
We’ve shipped 30k.
We did this in 7 months.
The number produced is roughly double the number of CAV-15s of any type produced over the course of 18 years.
What are the differences between the SLT triggers and the RTS-1 besides improved sealing? Any plans for a RTS-2 flat trigger? Any plans for a mixed trigger profile like the [Geissele tricon](https://geissele.com/super-tricon-trigger.html)?
The main difference is the Rekluse has a full power hammer spring for hard primers and guns with firing pin safeties like the Hk416 and MCX
No we do not currently have plans for other models of Rekluse.
Thank you. Any plans for any of KE Arms' triggers to have a hybrid curved and flat profile like the tricon?
We have zero plans to introduce any new trigger models currently.
SLT-1s outsell SLT-2s about 10:1.
IMO all offering different models does is cause purchasing paralysis as people don’t know which to purchase.
I already regularly get emails asking what’s the difference between these triggers and which they should buy when the product descriptions say exactly the same thing as I will tell them in an email.
Can you describe your sense of pride toward the KP-15? I imagine seeing them roll off the line and into people's hand must be a little bit emotional. I love my ODG w/ rekluse.
I have a couple questions I've always been curious about:
The material itself - Is it pretty straightforward? Just call up a the material supplier and say you want x% glass filled nylon? I remember watching a Magpul video a while back where they say their polymer is a proprietary blend. Is there something fundamental they change about theirs, or in your best guess, is it just the right formulation they've come up with to suit their products?
They order enough that they could have it formulated for them.
There are a large amount of off the shelf materials with different properties. We looked at several and use mold flow analysis computer simulations to select the best one.
With the WWSD2020 complete rifle, what course of action would you recommend if it's not reliably igniting hard primers (such as in Tula/Wolf steel cased .223)?
Contact me about swapping out your SLT for the Rekluse by sending the SLT in and paying $40 extra.
Do you agree with Karl that muzzle brakes on ARs are more nuisance than they are worth?
If so, does the stock AK74 (on an AK) brake fall into that category in your opinion?
What’s the application? I like them for competition, even 2 GACM. Some of my guns have combo flash hider/comp devices that are a balance between the two.
I also have SHTF guns that are flash hider only.
I have a 74 with the stock break. I absolutely hate obnoxiously loud rifles and I don't notice the 74 break at all when compared to a 16-in AR Renee to flashlighter. It's extremely effective and I can feel the rifle get pushed down and pulled forward when you shoot it's a pretty unique experience. I rented a full auto one in Vegas just because of how the break feels and it was a really cool experience. The front of the gun pushes down into the left and the back of the buttstock pushes up into the right tiny bit and it makes for a cool twisting feel as you shoot it.
After your experience with the KP 15 how hard do you think it would be to make AUG or other plastic receiver or go the other way if Austria or Australia said we want to start making KP15s instead how much easier would that be than starting from scratch (I know it's not economically viable)
The manufacturing process is the same.
Injection molded in two halves and vibration welded together.
Making AUG stocks would be the same level of complexity.
KP88 when /S
Can I run a CMMG RDB 9mm on a KP15 with a JP SCS? I mean it uses a standard upper, and a sorta similar BCG.
Some people are reporting using RDB uppers. As for that exact combination of parts no idea.
I constantly get asked questions about very specific combinations of parts like this. I don’t know if people think we have a massive library of parts and we spend all day testing various combinations of stuff or something? But we don’t.
We test common combinations of parts to make sure they work. When you’re building a custom gun it’s up to you to figure out if it will actually cycle/work reliably
“What buffer do I need with this barrel and this ammo and this spring?” I don’t know man, shoot it and observe your ejection pattern and how the recoil feels; adjust weight of the buffer accordingly to slow it down or speed it up.
Oh nice! Yeah I figured you wouldn't have all the answers, but figured you saw a bunch of configs and stuff.
Thanks for the response!
I think we're well past any immediate concerns for AWB at the Federal level, but back at the end of 2020 how worried were you about the potential for an AWB to be passed and impacting the production of the KP15? Cause I gotta say it had me.
Not worried. The political will for gun control like that on the federal level just doesn’t exist.
If a ban had passed it would go into effect 90 days after the close of the legislature. We can make a lot of parts in 90 days.
Do you have a procedure for adjustment of the JP buffer? In what cases would you need more/less weight or spring?
If you’re ejecting forward of 3:00 you need more mass/heavier spring.
If you’re ejecting behind 4:30 you need less mass/lighter spring.
Considering the choke points you guys had with the WWSD handguards, do you think Colts decision to switch to phosphate with internally chromed BCGs was that bad? Karl seems to think that Colt was being stingy, but if I were in charge of a military, I wouldn't want to be reliant on the only company that could properly chrome BCGs at the time.
Actually producing parts consistently and reliably that work is better than optimum parts with supply chain issues.
I saw elsewhere you went to BA barrels from faxon, is that just due to supply issues?
Rit dye an FDE Lower. If it worked for PMAGs, I'm sure it'll work for a KP15
It does. https://www.reddit.com/r/InRangeTV/comments/pblypz/turns\_out\_the\_kp15\_takes\_dye\_very\_well\_and\_at\_the/
If I can I'd rather have a lower that is plum through and through instead of black with a surface of plum.
How about dyed over FDE? [https://www.reddit.com/r/InRangeTV/comments/pblypz/turns\_out\_the\_kp15\_takes\_dye\_very\_well\_and\_at\_the/](https://www.reddit.com/r/InRangeTV/comments/pblypz/turns_out_the_kp15_takes_dye_very_well_and_at_the/)
The method. Was going to post your plum success if I didn’t see your response!
Meaning you pay $65.00 to replace it if there is a structural failure.
That's totally fair
Get a distributor to order 1000 units…
I will also purchase five. Love me some plum.
Thank you my man!
How many Adeptus Mechanicus could the entirety of the Black Templars take out before they're wiped if they were to battle to the last man?
Do we really know how many battle brothers the black Templars have?
The better question is how many Furries could their combined forces purge
That is definitely a better question on which to ponder...
Concerning the KE Arms acquisition of Young Manufacturing:
There is much wailing and gnashing of teeth regarding the omission of gas key staking (and apparently inferior fasteners?) on various fora. Does KE intend to make any changes to these design choices, or is this just a bunch of armchair spec sheet bickering?
Second, I made the decision to build a piecemeal WWSD, and purchased a YM BCG before KE acquired them, but I have not installed/used it yet. If it should have problems, is KE Arms providing warranty support to parts bought prior to the acquisition? If not, how would I handle any potential issues?
Yes KE Arms is handling Young Warranty stuff.
I do not believe staking the screws is necessary. I used Young carriers for 5 years before the acquisition. I never had screws come loose.
Staking on the chrome units in particular makes them look like shit as the staking would be performed after the chroming process.
Assuming that full auto/burst was legal, would you make most of your guns select fire?
I got shooting machine guns out of my system when ammo was $0.09 a round for 9mm and $0.15 a round for 5.56mm working for Cavalry Arms Corp. Full auto offers almost zero utility for anything I do.
1) any advice for some wanting to get into competition shooting
2) advice for setting up battle belt
3) how would you improve shotgun in 3-gun or shotgun marches?
4) with doom 1/2 taking place in 2022 can we expect a kick ass doom shoot from you?
5) favorite shooting drills?
6) favorite sling
7) any plans for the kp15 to be sold as complete rilfe beyond wswd 2020 and cdr ?
8) top 5 Dino's
9 ) how did you land on sinistral rifleman as a name/handle
1) Find local matches and just do it. No one is ever ready for their first match.
2) I use whiskey two four belts. They all have Safariland holsters, double pistol mag pouch, single rifle mag, and a dump pouch.
3) more moving targets and the ability to shoot empty and switch to handgun. Generally limiting shotgun round counts to a max of 15 or less as far as targets required.
4) maybe I can convince Karl to run a doom themed match.
5) watch my spinner slayer video for examples of how I practice: https://youtu.be/gt3VdN6eaQE
6) I use redwire gear slings because he is local and supports the local shooting community
8) Therizinosaurus, Triceratops, Styracosaurus, Utah raptor, Kentrosaurus
9)it’s over 20 years old, I remember learning the word Sinistral in high school as being Latin for of the left. It sounded cooler than LeftyRifleman or SouthpawShooter.
I shot a factory stock WWSD 2020 and loved it! It was particularly soft shooting and smooth with steel case Tula but a bit snappier with high quality 5.56 and .223 ammo.
Outside of the typical downsides of steel cased ammo (dirty, rough on extractors, ect.), is there any reason to stay away from Tula or similar .223 ammo in a WWSD rifle?
If we are finding the rifle a bit over gassed with some ammo, would you recommend starting with a tungsten weight or spring pack? Or should the owner stop being such a cheap-o and just purchase both?
I would get 2 tungsten weights
What would be your top 3 realistic updates to the KP15 or the full WWSD build that simply can not be done with current technology / extreme cost limitations? Of course there are many "sci-fi" wish list items but thinking more realistic items or materials that if revisited in 10-15 years would be featured on the next KP15-WWSD iteration?
Receivers that come out as molded and don’t required any secondary operations
Whats your favorite non-AR rifle?
And what area of target shooting do you think you can improve the most in?
How can I set up a kp-15 for 22lr (cmmg style), without a buffer/spring?
