All that clearance, just to be defeated by a drive-thru. Stuck for about an hour.

Damn, four wheel drive and can’t get out of that? I hope he doesn’t take that on the trails.
Took loading people into the bed and a ~~wench~~ winch from a bystander with a Jeep.. It was comical.
Wenches are the best
Edit: I can’t believe you changed it, you coward!
Power wenches are even better!
Ooo have you seen the ones with wireless remotes!? Even better!
If Disneyland has taught us anything...
I winced when the wench wrenched the winch from the wicked witch.
To the winch, Wench!

True. No kink shame, OP /giggity
You’d think 3 wheels on the ground could get it done even with 2wd.
You'd be surprised how many 2wd trucks don't even have posi. One wheel burnouts all over town
Hell, my 4wd doesn't even have a limited slip. Ford and their cheap ass. At least GM gives you a shitty gov-loc in a base 4x4.
Positraction, limited slip differential
Thank you Ms. Vito.
Holy shit I know what movie thats from but can’t remember the name! Something about a mint green Buick skylark
Edit: it’s ‘My Cousin Vinny’ for my fellow uncultured people! Had to look it up but definitely gonna have to give that gem a rewatch, damn good movie.
And Marisa Tomei never looked better; worth a watch for her alone!
The 2 yutes
"What's a yute"
Eye *slaps hands* DENTICAL!!!
Don’t know what a “posi” is either but I’m guessing he’s referring to a locking differential
Lockers are pretty rare these days, since there are so many better options, sometimes you'll find a locker or a spool on something purpose built, like rock crawlers or drag cars, but not so much for street vehicles. Despite what the driver may want you to think with those tires, that's a street vehicle to the core
Till you find out F150's do come with optional locking diff. My 14 F150 has electronic locking diff. I haven't needed it yet, but I know it works.
Toyota 4Runner has constant 4WD and locking front and rear diff
4 runners really seem to do a lot right, but arguably they are one of the few dealer vehicles purpose built for off road
Yea I used to drive my 2000 4runner out of this stupid slow burger king drive through. Lol. That's why I even ended up in these comments. Never had any issue, lol. Few inches of loft and 33" tires meant you could drive just about anywhere.
Apparently people like you and I are becoming rare. The knowledge of positraction is waning.
And yeah... most “lifted” trucks you see on the road are pavement queens. Purpose built trucks would ride that curb like a ballerina and beat their chests like a gorilla at this cute little ford.
Dude it's just cause nobody calls it positraction. It's a limited slip diff or lsd.
Actually, posi never would have been installed on this vehicle because it’s a ford, and posi is a chevy thing... but if we’re really splitting hairs down the middle, posi is not the same as lsd.
Limited slip is the standard now which is why nobody knows what posi is, but it’s not the same as posi or a solid axle.
>The knowledge of positraction is waning.
I learned about it from my cousin, Vinnny.
"Dead-on balls accurate"?
It's an industry term.
limited slip differential
I think it was a typo, he meant "poser", referring to the guy driving the truck
It's short for posi-track, trade name for a type of limited slip differential.
Did no one watch My Cousin Vinny?
If this guy was stuck for an hour, he probably doesn't know how to shift into 4Lo. That would get him unstuck in seconds. I've managed to get a pickup plow pulled out of a plow bank with my truck and I only have an I-4 engine.
The driver rear was barely touching, but I agree.
No bed weight? Silly Tonka vanity kids.
Not when you have no lockers and a limited slip differential.
People have informed me below that its a raptor and not just a clone.
So it should have a locker and 4 low.
Lifting two wheel drive trucks with open differentials is cringey af. There’s no point to doing it, because if you end up in a situation requiring the ground clearance you have, you won’t have the traction.
This isn’t a lifted 2wd truck. It has the body panels, skid plate, and recovery points of a first generation Raptor.
I never said this particular truck was a 2wd
Prerunners are usually 2wd and they are cool.
welcome to the south
Difference between winch and wench is you mount a winch around your bumper and you mount your wench over the hood
Your username absolutely validates your statement. I bow to you
Is that a raptor? I'd have assumed they had locking diff.
Standard rear locker and optional front locker. Guy probably doesn’t know how to engage them let alone use low range… or a rock…
It's a first gen, so roughly ten years old. There's no telling what mechanical state it's in at this point.
Agreed, just traded in my 2011 ram 1500 and the 4x4 no longer worked at all.
All Raptors have a rear locker and pretty competent traction control.
It has a transfer case that will shift into 4H and 4L with the capability of locking the rear differential. It can engage all of that while stationary.
Honestly, they could have used a jack to get the chassis off the curb on one side, and then used the four wheel drive and reverse like hell.
Doesnt even have to do that. Hes already got one front wheel, with locking hubs, up against the curb. Just pop it in 4L and ease on out of there.
Yeah, he ain't ready for prime-time rock climbing ...
It probably can if he floors it in reverse but he’s to scared of damaging it even though it has a skid plate.
It is a Ford so...
All show, no go.
We call them mall crawlers
Technically he has taken it off-road I suppose.
But the advertisement said All Terrain!!
Well, at least partially -- about 1/4 of the way.
Probably the most off-road that truck will ever see
Just as always, John thought he had at least 6 inches.
Bottomed out & Wendy's didn't even know he was there.
She knew when he ordered the Baconator, that was just too much meat for him to handle.
Actually, if he put a few Baconators in front of that skid plate, he would slide over that curb no problem...
Looks like we don’t have the right clearance, Clarence.
What's your vector, Victor?
It looks like I picked the wrong day to stop drinking.
And Leon's getting.... LARGER
I served over Under, and he was under Dunne.
Watch your angle kurt
I’m always amused at TV ads for Ford, Dodge and Chevy pickups that show brawny lumberjacks and construction workers throwing heavy stuff into the bed, and then I sit in traffic and see those same trucks full of pasty, overweight middle managers that can barely lift a fucking donut.
Let’s not forget the farmers who throw 14 bales of hay in the back as if it were Styrofoam.
Spoiler alert: it is styrofoam with a glued on layer of hay.
Yeah those things aren't light at all. I spent a couple summers after high school working maintenance on a golf course, and one summer there were a lot of areas that got dug up for new sprinkler system installation. When they were done installing, we had to re-seed and put hay down. Lifting those heavy bastards in 100 degree weather with Ohio valley humidity, and hay dust sticking all over me...ugh. I loved working there, still my favorite job to this day actually, but fuck hay bales.
Butt fuck hay bales
While im not saying hay bales are light they can range anywhere from 40-75lbs and some are 100 but not impossible to do. I used to help a family move theirs from their truck to their storage shed frequently.
Straw bales are quite light. Hay bales are much heavier. It would’ve been straw bales for covering grass seed.
I live in the southeast and have a model 3. Every time I go out someone in a $60,000 pickup can't help but ask me "how much did that cost" and I always tell him a lot less than that pickup.
Also super excited for the electric F-150 I think it's going to do a lot for growing charging infrastructure. Cuz whether they like it or not a lot of people are going to get those as fleet vehicles and hopefully it'll change some minds.
These bros better get used to the idea of EV. It’s all they’re going to be able to buy new in 20 years.
I think the new F-150 is going to do a lot to help with that. Props to Ford for going with a full electric version of their best-selling vehicle, rather than trying to create some new “cyber truck” thing that would just be something for the coal-rollers to ridicule. It’ll be a lot harder for them to deride something that looks like what they drive.
Those bros don't give a shit if the car is capable.
Comparing a Pickup to a Model 3 just doesn't make sense. Am I going to go camping, or offroading in a Model 3? Fuck no. Am I going to be able to tow anything, or load it up? No.
I’m not sure you meant to reply to me, but I get your point. As it happens, I saw a guy towing a small trailer with his Model 3 a year or two ago.
Well, yeah. Actual blue collar people can't afford jacked up brodozers. Although sometimes you see them on rich farmers and ranchers.
Of course they can. Construction is booming.
Yea idk what he’s talking about I see jacked up trucks all the time on job sites.
We finance anyone truck with rent a rims.
I live in oil and cotton country. I see plenty of really nice dualies owned by blue collar workers out here but in all fairness, they really need them with the weather we get
Which is exactly why those types of dudes are always broke haha. The same was often true for pipe fitters, welders, and the like. They would pocket 40/hr for a year building a plant and then blow all of it on drugs, cars, and bullshit. It's kinda sad.
You described my boss in a nut shell.
I would think if he locked the rear axle and put it in 4-low he would have gotten it back over.
The thing is YOU would think. Clearly this guy does not think.
Pavement princess got her shoe in the mud :(
Pavement Prince got his $400 cowboy boots in the mud 😜
What you get for slapping ugly ass rims on that poor raptor.
Yes, it's an offroading truck, y tf would you put bigger rims on it
He should said fuck it and kept going.
I think he's high-centered on the curb ...
Yeah, you have to know how to drive it too ... Back to a 1984 Toyota Corolla for some retraining ...
Maryland tags...Checks out.
Churros always get the last word.
Dad, I fucked your truck up and I did get your food!
Doesn't it have diff locks?
Yup.... but that driver doesn’t have a clue how that works, much less how to steer.
The irony: if he had a Carolina squat, he'd be totally ok there ...
is that where people set thier lift like a baja truck?
(low rear high front)
Yes, high front. Baja racers is a legitimate setup, much safer for them, not a lot of drive thru lanes there ☝️
Does it go on:
Gotta be mindful of speed bumps, loose gravel, curbs cracks... You know what, you can buy it but it's probably best you leave it on the showroom floor. Don't want you voiding the warranty too soon.
Taco Bell is notorious about this. "Fuck your 30 minute lunch break & we save money by being understaffed."
Pavement princess 👸
I have seen 2 vehicles stuck on curbs like this, just this week! Our state recently lifted all the Covid restrictions and it seems like everyone forgot how to drive over the past year.
Hahaha 🤣 I live in Chicago so no one knew how to drive before covid anyway haha
The nicer the truck, the less stuff you’ll actually see in the bed.
Thats likely the most that BroDozer has been off-road in its entire life.
It's not that much clearance.
1st it’s probably been off road.
We need a sub for Pavement Princess problems.
This situation was easily recoverable. The driver is just an idiot who doesn't even know the capabilities of his vehicle.
Damn I've taken a lifted f350 long bed crew cab up a mountain, and this guy can't get over a curb 😣
You can put the man in a 4 wheel drive truck, but you can't force him to use it correctly.
I simply do not believe this Raptor was incapable of freeing itself. The driver just doesn't know wtf they're doing. (As evidenced by driving over the curb in the first place.)
M A R Y L A N D. I remember crossing from VA and just WATCHING the driving go to shit!
Cram a piece of whatever behind the left front tire and go backwards.
i know this thing has a rear diff, probably shouldve put a locking front diff too eh? just to crawl that tire out.
if youre gonna make your truck into an offroader at least put some torque in the wheels.
Maryland drivers .. absolute fucking idiots
That's an SVT Raptor...it has a rear locker...he could of got out on his own, but either didn't know how, or was afraid of further damaging it
May be a stupid question, but what’s stopping him from just putting it 4wd and reversing?
Note: this man does not know what reverse is.
Hawaii, actually. This was on a base.
>This was on a base.
This explains everything
Should have been a Mustang.
Or a camero
You can take the driver out of MD but you can't take the MD out of the driver.
We've got the worst here. Sorry to see we're exporting them all the way to Hawaii.
Figured it was maryland bc of the plate lol. Still bad drivers from md
McDonald's on Pearl? Looks vaguely familiar
Love seeing this happen to a Maryland douche. No offense to you good Maryland drivers.
There are good Maryland drivers?
Those who unfortunately moved there from Virginia
After working in DC for a few years, I had more experiences with bad VA drivers than MD drivers. MD drivers tend to be selfish assholes who pull dangerous stunts, but VA drivers can't seem to see past the hood of their car and don't have any spatial awareness.
Dude spent the time to make his truck look like it can survive anything, but it cant even reverse over a curbe
I'm not even joking when I say my 2014 CR-V can probably do better than that lol
Thats basically what this truck looks like factory. The only thing he changed were wheels and tires. It's a first generation SVT raptor.
Raptor? I can barely drive ‘er!
oh hey look it's that asshole 19 year old that zooms up behind you while you're already going over the speed limit and gets inches from your bumper even though you're already passing other cars so you can't get over even though he thinks you should
I wish cars had a device stored somewhere in the back that would allow you to use leverage to lift one corner off an obstacle like this. That would be convenient for this type of scenario, and as a bonus it would also help if you needed to have a tyre clear of the asphalt to change it.
Fucknut in a Farquad.
trucks are much easier to get stuck than they seem. I've seen a lifted chevy accidentally backup its bumper on top of a rock and require it to be pulled, flat ground to make it worse. i also saw a Tacoma get stuck in a dry river bed, which also required it be pulled. moral of the story if you have a 2WD truck, know your limits.
It’s a 4WD though.
You are aware of these newfangled inventions they’ve got called “curbs”, correct?
All the gear and no idea.
Love the Raptor, but how the fuck does *that* happen?
Short dude with a lifted truck with bro wheels. Never would have guessed it.
The guy in the picture is the fast food employee... Although you are probably right anyway lol
Furthest it’ll ever go off road.
Bested by a drive thru. Even the greats eventually fall to a lesser power
Stuck for about an hour ? The f are those big wheels for ? Im not a car guy but would reversing work with those wheels
Should’ve bought a Ram!
Haha...found on roads dead...story checks out
Not clearance. Suspension travel
Little guy so cute 😊 needs a ladder
Why does he look exactly like I expected him to?
Big truck for a little man with an even smaller understanding of how to actually drive it.
The license plate says it all. Why are we like this?
Must be 2WD. Only explanation for being stuck there.
Lol, my dad always says “no brains, no headaches”, lol, but I think it should be, no brains know headaches lol
Maryland driver...need we say more?
He’s got the rock sliders so all he should to is back up. But he probably got a shitty lift kit and now his control arms will be bent to hell because aluminum is cheaper than steel.
I thought those trucks had 4 wheel drive?
Travel and clearance are different things
Raptor doesn’t actually have that much “clearance”
This is proof he needs locking diffs and that $5k winch bumper.
Maryland drivers 🤣
Jack it up and place a stack of bricks on one side and a ramp pf bricks on the other. Done...
Every single lil dick big trucker out there😂
They're always in the same type of truck to. Black with black trim and black tinted windows. Like a calling card for the morons.
I like my black truck...
There's always going to be an exception. Kind of makes the rule.
But damn every truck like that I come across in rural PA is driven by an idiot.
It's weird how trucks make people think of little penises. I guess casual body shaming is ok if it's about something you don't like.
Btw I have a very long dick, it just grew in the wrong direction.
A truck like that exudes small-dick energy.
If you don't own a farm or work in something that occupies it, you should not have a truck that big.
In some countries some big truck models are normally sold as commercial vehicles, they should be kept as that. I know in the US streets are massive, but where I live they are narrow and those trucks and big ass SUV are a pain in the ass to deal with in traffic.
That's like saying unless you have an arts degree you shouldn't have any pictures in your house.
Also no is obligated to justify how they choose to spend their earned income.
Or, alternatively… people can spend their money on whatever they feel like buying. I know, I know, weird concept.
No that's not allowed, you must seek Reddit's approval for all your decision.
There are definitely use cases outside of farming an commercial use. Off-roading, hunting, boating, mt biking, house maintenance, etc.. are a lot easier with a 4x4 truck.
I prefer a mid sized truck for hobbies, however I can see how other would prefer a bigger truck.
