SCH are very common, especially with IVF pregnancies. I currently have one too and I've gone from pink spotting to light red to brown over the last week and a half. My last ultrasound showed a pretty sizeable SCH. My RE said I would probably have spotting for a few weeks because of it. If you're ready to join r/infertilitybabies there is lots of discussion about spotting and bleeding.
So far. I'm almost 12 weeks. I stil have some brown spotting but we're doing OK. FWIW, I had an SCH with my first pregnancy that was pretty bad at 12 weeks and it turned out fine.
It did eventually resolve on its own after a few weeks. For that one and this one my doctor ordered me not to lift more than 10lbs and put me on pelvic rest until a week after spotting is done.
I had a sch at 6 weeks. Lot of bleeding with clots. I was gushing blood so I went to the ER for an ultrasound. Baby is now 18 months and eating a quesadilla.
I don’t know your insurance situation, but I would go just for the peace of mind. They can send the results to your clinic so your RE can make a plan. Mine had me increase my PIO injections to twice a day.
I had cramping and bleeding at 6 weeks, got an ultrasound and everything was fine. No SCH so I’m thinking it just came from my cervix after sex. It happened again when I was 9 weeks. I’m 11 weeks now and have not had any bleeding since.
Hi! I was 7 weeks when I had a gush of fresh blood on a Sunday and bad cramping. The next morning, I had clots as well. I was terrified. Went to my RE, and everything was fine. Saw my little one was doing well and their heart was beating very well. I was diagnosed with a SCH. My RE said it’s very common and not to worry. I’m now 10 weeks and everything is going well. 😊 I hope your bleeding is just a SCH. Please let us know. Thinking about you! 🌷🌷🌷
Thank you for sharing! This is reassuring, I’m hoping it’s just SCH. My bleeding slowed down after my 2nd pad change yesterday and no clots. I go in today, I’ll keep you updated!
So, my ultrasound didn’t show anything really. Just a 0.3mm cyst like structure. The doctor said it’s still early, but we’re waiting on my hcg results. I will have to go back Wednesday for another hcg blood work to compare. If it goes down then I’ve had a early miscarriage. If not, then I go for another ultrasound.
Thank you for your support. I found out my hcg went from 2900 Monday to 639 today. I had a early miscarriage. Hoping to get into the next round soon as I can!!
Hopefully your situation is very different from mine. I end up having a early miscarriage. Going to start my next fet in a few weeks. Wishing you all the best!
I understand the worry. When I went in, I was told that bleeding in IVF pregnancies is very common. It doesn’t really ease the worry though. Please let me know how your scan goes!
Light pink spotting is not usually a problem.... however bleeding with clots is definitely not great. Hopefully you can call your clinic and they can see you ASAP to see what's going on?
Sometimes, when my doctors office isn’t open, I call the pharmacy I got my IVF meds from and ask the pharmacist what they think. They’ll tell you to follow up with your doctor too, but they might be able to give you some insight on what’s going on! Might make you feel better, no harm in trying.
Idk where you live but around me we have OBED (ob emergency departments) that can see you in a pinch. If your clinic isn’t answering see if your area has an OBED. Maybe you can call to see if they have any suggestions or if they think you should come in.
I would definitely talk to your doctor… I had some spotting very early pregnancy, like the week of my FET. I had no bleeding throughout the rest of my pregnancy, until around 12 weeks there was very minimal spotting / off colored discharge that didn’t stop. I called my doctor and she wasn’t concerned. It turns out I actually had a missed miscarriage, and our baby stopped growing a few weeks prior :(
But on the other hand, my sister in law early in her pregnancy (also ivf) had A LOT of bleeding, clots, and cramps… she thought she was miscarrying and it turned out she had a sub chorionic hematoma. Baby was fine, and she is now around 27 weeks.
I’m not trying to scare you, or upset you. But if you’re concerned, there really is no way to know if anything is going on unless you see a doctor.
I’m sure it’s probably nothing, and I hope you get some answers soon. I know the waiting and worrying is the worst!
Oh, I’m so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing. I’m going in this afternoon, I’m trying to stay positive. We’ll see what they say. I’ll give you an update!

I’m so, so sorry :( take the time you need to process your emotions and don’t feel like you need to rush into anything… my sister in law had 2 early miscarriages with ivf (no reason found for either) and her third transfer she is now 26-27 weeks pregnant and doing well ❤️
What is your blood type? I had a massive sch around 6 weeks and I have a negative blood type. I had to get a rohgam shot to make sure my body wasn't trying to reject my baby. Currently 18weeks so it all turned out okay but it was very scary. I had massive amounts of blood gushing out. I was 100% sure it was over.

Did things turn out okay for you?

Thank you so much for sharing this! I’m debating whether I should go to emerg or wait for my clinic to see me tmrw.

I’m going into my clinic today. I’ll be doing blood work and ultrasound. Let’s see what they say.

Ok, hoping that the HCG goes up well. Thinking of you! ❤️❤️❤️
So, my hcg from yesterday is 2000. It’s on the lower end. I find out if it’s gone down or up tmrw. If it’s gone down, assuming early miscarriage.
Hoping for the best possible result for you. 🌷🌷🌷

Well done!!!! So relieved to hear this! Hope everything continues to go well!!! ❤️❤️❤️🙈
You as well! We will have similar due dates! ❤️

It could be an SCH. I’d check in with your doctor!
Okay, I’m just really worried. I’m just waiting to hear from my clinic. I hate that it’s a weekend!

No, I’m in Ontario. We don’t have OBED. That sounds like a wonderful alternative.

I always assume no news is good news!
Update, it ended up being a miscarriage. My hcg went from 2900 to 639 in two days. Hopefully for the next!!
