I saw Brent play when he was with the Fort Wayne Komets. My dad pointed him out because of the name and, since we didn’t have smart phones to look it up and I didn’t think about it for years, I looked it up later.
However, Fernando Alonso has failed to qualify for more Indy 500s than the whole full-time IndyCar grid.
(Edit: That's not actually true, Pato DNQ'd with Carlin. That was funny for about 30 seconds though.)
When Ericsson first moved to Indycar I knew this would prove if he was lacking talent as a driver or his F1 cars were lacking in pace, pretty obvious he never had the machinery in F1.
True, but the general consensus was that HE wasn't that great when, in fact, he can actually race up front when given the machinery and races hard for position generally without mistakes. His F1 career didn't show that side of him.
A lot of drivers have driving styles that fit some series better than others, and never quite manage to adjust. I'd guess Ericsson was probably in that camp.
>True, but the general consensus was that HE wasn't that great
Because he wasn't good. He's probably improved by now but when he was in F1 he just wasn't very good.
Alonso in shambles
Confirmed: Ericsson better than Alonso
Ericsson F1 GOAT confirmed
Ericssoat or Ericsgoat
I have as many Indy 500 wins as Lewis Hamilton
Helio and I have a combined four Indy 500 wins.
Wayne & Brent Gretzky have the NHL record for most points by a pair of brothers

and Paul Tracy
False
Wait that means I have exactly as many wins at Gateway as Niki Lauda
And Josef Newgarden
*And* you and him have the same number of WDCs as the Schumacher family!
I once had a meme modded because I did it on Wednesday by mistake. This should stand! We didn't have any meme's on Tuesday this week!
that's a slippery slope to Forgotten Rides Friday on Saturdays

Did you know that Alonso has won more F1 championships than the entire Indycar grid combined.
*p i n n a c l e*
K I M O A
Marketing geniuses. Those 2019 DNQ 66 hats were still prob able to sell for an upwards of $60 after losing to Kyle Kaiser 😂
I bought one for like $5 during the year end clearance sale on the indycar online shop.
Did you know Scott Sharp has more indycar championships then the entire f1 grid combined?
However, we must also remember that Grosjean has denied Alonso more WDC's than anyone else on the grid
Groundbreaking
Did you know Micheal Jordan has more Nba finals MVPs then then the entire NFL combined
Micheal Jordan also has more cup wins then Connor Daly
Damn
I wonder why that is? 🤔 I can't quite put my finger on it
If you did you’d be fined $50,000
🤓"no one has tried"🤓
I was being sarcastic
So that mean ericson>Verstappen
As it always was
Latifi has as many Indy 500 as Verstappen, Hamilton, and Alonso combined. He truly was the goat.
Goatifi
Ericsson and Grosjean each have a higher Indy 500 qualification rate than Fernando Alonso
Marcus Ericsson is closer to the triple crown than Charles Leclrec.
And has a much higher chance of winning the championship this year.
I mean that’s given, Charles isn’t even competing in Indycar.
Okay, that's just bullying now!
He has also equaled the entire Andretti family.
Mario has won it more times than Michael, John, Jeff and Marco combined
and Takuma Sato has won twice as many as all of them combined.
Truly fucking GOATed
🤦🏻♂️

His car wasn't good, but he wasn't good enough either. I don't think any F1 team thinks "shit, we should've contracted Ericsson" now.
True, but the general consensus was that HE wasn't that great when, in fact, he can actually race up front when given the machinery and races hard for position generally without mistakes. His F1 career didn't show that side of him.
He is the opposite of RoGro. Never had the one lap speed but is very consistent and with safe hands.

No shit

Don't shit on the shitpost
Facts that hurt (a bit)
I would ride to Valhalla with this guy
I have as many INDYCAR wins as the entire F1 grid.
It’s funny because it reminds me of the endless array of useless facts that F1 spits out.
