It makes no sense that I can’t put clothes in a briefcase

Kronocidal

That's easy. We know that 47 wears his own underwear with the disguises, because he leaves the person he removes the disguise *from* in their underwear. Since the disguise does not, therefore, include [briefs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Briefs), it does not belong in a briefcase.

DannyStress

This is the correct answer that I was looking for instead of the other nonsense I got lol

platonicgryphon

The briefcases contain that foam packing material that prevents equipment from rattling around, his disguises have too much volume to fit in the brief case and too little mass to push against the foam.

billyman_90

47 is paranoid about creased clothes, but he doesn't have time to fold them properly to fit I. The briefcase

ivandln

But you can perfectly easy fit a large caliber sniper rifle in it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Mojofier

In his head. His brain is SOOO efficient that it's size is the size of a microchip, allowing him to store equipment in other compartments in his skull and throughout the body. Or he can apply mass displacement or something similar like how Megatron can transform into a small gun so Starscream can finger him for explosive climax. Trust me, i have a degree |||(actually 36 degrees)|||, i know what I'm talking about.

Phastic

Large items like what? Like an axe? Cause I can only carry one axe at a time so I don’t know what mod you’re using

thisismypr0naccount0

4 kitchen knives, 3 syringes, 2 turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear tree.

L3DGEND

Note: Its always uncaped syringes of often lethal poison

Phastic

Almost all/All of 47’s outfits have pockets (except for Siberia but still has pants). I just tried putting 1 large kitchen knife and two smaller ones in my shorts, fit like a dream

[deleted]

[удалено]

Phastic

Poky side up. 47 will have sheaths

Kodekingen

Is Siberia a place in an earlier game (earlier than WoA)? Because as far as I know Siberia is only a sniper map you can’t explore so having lovers wouldn’t matter

SirCheeseEater

Don't worry, I got this. So basically... >!47 uses his prison wallet.!<

johnathandoughtnut

Fine, why does someone collapsing on the floor (knockout dart in neck) not constitute an emergency but a fire alarm means f-ing terrorist threat

Phastic

The fire alarm only starts going when there is a witnessed act of crime. If the dart shooting by 47 is done discreetly and without any witnesses, the guards keep on the hush hush for as long as possible and try to handle the situation without causing panic. But if a guy goes in with a full auto on the crowd, no point in keeping it hush hush

Suspicious-Drama-549

They’re talking about manually pulling fire alarms, not emergency alarms

wigga245

exactly what he said. people know that fire alarm means a big threat, so they evacuate

Phastic

The fire alarms are the only alarms in most buildings

Suspicious-Drama-549

Yeah I’m saying they don’t go off when there’s a crime witnessed, only if you pull them

Phastic

You can see a guard going to pull the fire alarm, and you can stop them from doing that by killing them.

CodeBlue2001

I didn’t realize that they actually manually do it. I thought it was just an automatic thing the player can trigger. Cool

Phastic

I once witnessed it happen on a killing spree in Paris. One guard told the other to pull the firearm (i still hear this), and there was a guard approaching the fire alarms by the two low level bathrooms. As he was in front of it, I shot him and never pulled. Repeated it, and I was able to turn off the alarm

CodeBlue2001

Cool

Additional_Irony

Still though, why do the guards instantly draw their guns and do a target lockdown or try to find an intruder when you manually pull the fire alarm yourself? Might be an actual fire after all, but for some reason they seem to know there isn’t one without even checking.

Sebekhotep_MI

Guards manually pull them after a big enough crime is reported

whydoiexist21352352

Why do people not go home after being knocked out and stripped down

Phastic

Because they have huge debts that they need to pay off, and can’t afford to go home because of abusive bosses

zhzhzhzhbm

Why the guards are always and anywhere carrying endless body bags in their pockets?

Magmaslime

Why doesn't security check your briefcase when you put it down in front of them before getting frisked.

Phastic

That’s a bug because every-time I’ve tried putting it down and then I pick up the briefcase after a frisk, I’m treated with hostility

stt86

Gotta place it, not drop it

archaemes

Thank you all for explaining this. I never understood why I couldn’t hold the briefcase during frisk, so now I’ll try the placement technique. Before, I’d go out of sight and chuck it around and hope no one picked it up by the time I passed security.

Phastic

The guards in Argentina wouldn’t even frisk me after I tried placing it and even throwing it over the wall

CodeBlue2001

I think you have to do it just to the side, or just out of view, but close enough so that you don’t have to repeat the frisk. It’s finicky. Paris has some easier examples

No-Pen266

why doesn't the public event shut down after i killed somebody in plain sight?

Phastic

In Paris when people go outside, they can’t go home because they have to wait for their cars, but they never go back in either

AsherTheFrost

Ok, how do the tattoos transfer over when the tattoo artist disguise is used?

Phastic

Tattoo sleeves, the artist is a fake

finalfourcuse

Big fat phony

notechart

47 has a sharpie marker in his pocket.

some-kind-of-no-name

People drowning in toilets count as accidents.

Phastic

People don’t know what happened, enough real life and movie instances where the same thing occurs, they could’ve suffocated on their own vomit for all the witnesses know

Difficult_Clerk_4074

Or, they could have been taking a piss and slipped.

mashedhotatoes

Or they could have just been trying to see where the water tunnel leads to...

SepiaTwee

Usually drugged first by emetics. The poison is (head cannon) designed to mimic bad drug injection so that it appears that the person went somewhere private then od’d and drowned in their vomit unconsciously. (IE Jane in breaking bad)

david-deeeds

Why does 47 need mastery to unlock his bathroom in Freelancer

TheBlankestPage

Renovations.

Phastic

I haven’t played Freelancer so I don’t know. It’s not officially out, so we’ll only discuss it then

TheNew_Bob

Tranquilizer shot + plus headshot mid animation = keep SA

Phastic

That’s a bug that people exploit. It counts as an accident with a tranq, and before the accident of it counts, players take advantage to kill them which happens as soon as the accident pops up

CodeBlue2001

Neat

silenced_soul

Why does 47 sometimes choose high profile events to do the hit ? For example in Paris in blood money and hitman 1. Why not wait until the targets are in a hotel or at home and sneak in during the night and do it. Seems a lot smarter then having to go through tons of security. Another note, fingerprints and Forensic evidence don’t seem to exist in hitman’s world.

Phastic

He doesn’t choose the events, his handler and agency does

silenced_soul

I’m enjoying this thread and thank you for extending my sense of immersion.

LtCptSuicide

Could be a contract stipulation, best opportunity available, and 47 just likes the challenges Forensics do exist. But 47 doesn't exist in any database anywhere (he may not even have fingerprints and he's bald) so it doesn't do much good.

CodeBlue2001

Yeah, I feel like it’s mentioned somewhere that his fingers are just *smooth*

NippleBlender

It is said in a lot of the briefs that "this is our only opportunity to catch them, and the clock is ticking." or something along those lines.

MoebabF

I think the large events are chosen for a hit because the list of suspects/ potential witnesses is larger, making the homicide investigation more difficult

johnathandoughtnut

My headcanon is that 47 had his fingerprint's surgically removed and doesn't spill his own blood if he's such a silent assassin

KimberGraceful

Why can't 47 wear women's clothing?

Phastic

He chooses not to and refuses you the right to abuse the ability

Zearo298

You consented... But isnt there someone you forgot to ask?

cl354517

He needs pockets

[deleted]

Good one

longing_tea

For his imperial filigree eggs

Sebekhotep_MI

Women clothing does 47 look extremely attractive, drawing attention to himself, and that's something he'll always try to avoid

thisismypr0naccount0

He's actually FTM and female clothing makes him dysphoric EDIT: Grammar

Siefeceptio

When there are 2 guards and I distract one of them and take his clothes, how the other guard that was talking to him doesn't recognise that Agent 47 is in fact not the guy he was talking to?

Phastic

Because there are 11 other guys wearing the same outfit, the guy the guard was talking to could’ve wandered off and 47 is just another guard, not the guy he was talking to. “Have you seen Ramon? Nah, he’s probably sleeping in a closet somewhere”. - a line actually uttered by guards

CodeBlue2001

What about the band members in Santa Fortuna? I guess they could still be drunk as hell.

Phastic

Drunk as hell. Also if I remember correctly, they might’ve said something about a different player or something like a replacement but I’m not sure

CodeBlue2001

Hilariously, the only thing they notice is that you’re bald, not that you’re WHITE. EDIT: When I say white, I mean that he’s lighter than the band.

Phastic

Latin Americans are of Spanish descent, ie white people. Some Latin Americans are darker because of marriage between Spaniards and the natives, and also because of the climate. It’s not weird for a Latin American to be white

CodeBlue2001

I know. I meant that 47 is much lighter than the dude he replaced, and they don’t see this

Phastic

Drunk, slurred speech and impaired vision, also not that big of a difference. Also the shine of a freshly shaved head

CodeBlue2001

Fair

MrBoraY

You can just kill people in front of other people with guns, knives, bombs; and those people keeps staying at the place and continue their lives like nothing happened. Like bruh a mass murder just happened how about you go home and have some trauma ?

Phastic

In Paris, they’d have to wait for their limo while the guards handle the situation. Sapienza, Dartmoor, Marrakech, India, Chongqing, people are already home

Dnomyar96

How about all those people that just return to the same public location where they witnessed a mass murder (like for example a cafe in Sapienza?

Phastic

They believe the guards handled the situation and there is no longer any issue.

[deleted]

Here's a tough one for you: How does enemy gunfire not hurt anyone but 47 when 47 is hiding in the middle of a crowd?

Phastic

I’ve seen non-target kills pop up when I was getting shot at and left my gun elsewhere

[deleted]

I can't say I've ever had something similar happen to me.

doc_strange82

I can agree, I have had guards kill people with guns. Very annoying trying go for high points.

CodeBlue2001

If you’re going for high points, then avoid firefights. UNLESS you’re wanting to rack up guard kills. Sorry if that came off rude

doc_strange82

Yeah I'm just not good at the game

CodeBlue2001

That’s all good. Neither was I at first, and I’m still not the greatest lol, but you’ll improve.

Mikhail_Jehud

Why can't 47 dual wield or take human shields when he clearly had that ability in previous games?

Phastic

Arthritis and bad Clemens

Mikhail_Jehud

So he's too weak to hold someone as a human shield, but strong enough to hang off a speeding icy train car indefinetely?

Phastic

That’s a time aspect. He sees no reason to jump and doesn’t use it

elpablo1940

Why does noone notice the barcode on the back of his head?

Phastic

They might, they might not, but overall they don’t care

LambdaLeader

One of the agents in Berlin asks someone if they've seen a guy with a smudge/tattoo on his head. No one ever gets close enough to see it's a barcode.

RacePinkBlack

When people are sick, why do they always seem to vomit and not have diarrhea? There are some NPCs who say they have lava coming out of their ass but we never see it. Hmm.

Phastic

So either you vomit into a toilet and shit your pants, or you shit in the toilet and get some vomit on yourself. They make the unorthodox choice, you can’t blame them for that

SirCheeseEater

Yeah, but as you said! Unorthodox, less common! Why do they all do that?

Phastic

When in France

Greggin_91

That's actually just realistic. If you are hit with a fast acting emetic, your body is going to throw it up while it's still in the stomach. It takes a while for stuff to make it to your intestines and colon. If you take that long during an assassination, you're doing something wrong.

TheLastWatermelon

The suitcase is homing in Hitman 3 (intentional feature, not a bug)

Phastic

It’s a glitch, not a bug. The suitcase is supposed to hit the target if that’s where you aim and the briefcase will follow the target regardless. It’s a glitch that IO was unable to fix

LtCptSuicide

It was originally a glitch. Then removed. Then added back with a new suitcase that is deliberately slower for fun. Obviously it's a suitcase disguised drone with tracking abilities.

Phastic

Advanced tech, they were living in advanced times

TheLastWatermelon

For Hitman 2 sure, however by Hitman 3 they found it funny and never attempted to fix it, possibly intentionally coding it into the game. Therefore in Hitman 3 it is a feature, not a bug or glitch. I demand an explanation on why this is the most realistic thing

poop_creator

Gyroscopic Kamikaze Hamster Pilots.

doc_strange82

I'm enjoying this thread.

RedditGamer253

How the hell can the ICA agents in Berlin recognize 47 while he's wearing face masks (Bartender, Club Crew, and DJ disguises)?

Phastic

Because they’re being extremely observant

Iwrstheking007

they could recognize those sparkly blue eyes anywhere /j

locopoco901

They use 47 baldness to see throught the mask like a mirror

campingcosmo

Why do people die at the very second their heads touch water, to the point where you can get an accident kill by luring an NPC into a deep enough pool and dropping a coin so they bend over to pick it up?

Phastic

They die like that because they’re already unconscious so if 47 puts them underwater, they may as well be dead

Evanderpower

Yes, but if 47 shoots their leg they always get back up, unless their head touches the slightest bit of water AND it's an accident

Phastic

Because they’re still conscious.

Evanderpower

Yes, but they instantly die if they trip in 1 foot of water.

CodeBlue2001

I didn’t know about the coin trick lol. I only knew about shooting them in the leg.

NirvanaFan2014

Wait that can actually work? Holy shit.

Regretful-Regent1936

Why can't I sit down while people are suspicious of me?

Phastic

Because their being suspicious puts you in a tight spot

trinitymonkey

47 can’t jump.

Phastic

He’s 57 years old. He chooses not to

crownercorps

Guards having telepatic powers to guess exactly where the shot of a silent sniper rifle came. Frisking zones ignoring a waiter carrying a crowbar, a wrench, pipe, 5 bricks. A whole ass briefcase to carry 3 coins and is full, no space for another thing

Phastic

Projected trajectory of a shot. Trained guards who have military experience are expected to know. Sometimes they don’t know from the first shot. Could be a handyman, or just kinky. Don’t judge a person by what they choose to fill their suitcases with

crownercorps

At least: A guard should first act like "what the hell" before rushing to my exact location And some itens like coins, micro explosive could be in the same suitcase along with a pistol or poison

Phastic

They are like that

Siefeceptio

How does Agent 47 survive multiple gunshots and heals pretty quickly?

Phastic

In the master difficulty, or professional in Hitman 1 (which is the highest in the 2016 standalone), a couple of shots and you’re dead, and healing isn’t so quick.

SirCheeseEater

The fact that a foreign target's dark skinned or tan bodyguard changes ethnicity in the span of a few seconds. How do they not notice their personal body guard (The ones with hair) suddenly becomes bald? Why are a majority of personal body guards bald? Why does changing the outfit even help with compromised disguises? I mean seriously! They already saw your face, 47 has like no other NPC (Unless it's Helmut, that one actually is pretty smart).

A_Loot

People forget 47s face easily. This has been explained multiple times in the Trilogy. For example one of Ambrose Islands Targets says that if he looked away for a few seconds he would forget 47s face

Phastic

Almost all targets are enforcers to the guard outfit because they hand pick their own staff. The only personal bodyguard I know of that isn’t like that is in Dubai with the replacement. The target doesn’t know how the replacement originally looks like, so 47 takes advantage. For targets that don’t pick their own guards, they have like 20 other guards wearing the same outfit, so 47 would be just another one of those 20 People see outfits, not faces

CaptainSoviyite

Nice diana quote

FullHD_hunter

Ok, so what about the fact that by just typing into the computer 47 can make sparks come out of it as if he just shot it?

Phastic

It’s not a computer, it’s a server, and a lot of servers are like that. They even make sparks for no reason

Remarkable_Self5621

As a software engineer I can back up that if you type ‘sudo spark’ the computer explodes

Siefeceptio

Why does nobody call the police in most maps? I mean, I get it for missions like Ark Society for example, but for the missions like Another Life, why don't wee see police backups coming after you violently murder people and it gets noticed by police?

Phastic

Because there’s already police on sight. You can see a few squad cars and other cops scattered around as well as undercover bodyguarfs

Kazinam

Why are there no kids?

Phastic

Good one. - Yacht: Adult party - Cuba: military activity - Paris: Fashion show, you don’t see any kids there - Sapienza: okay this is tough - Morocco: there’s a protest and fear of war, parent’s fear for their kids and keep them inside - Bangkok: It’s a hotel, and the band is taking up half the space, people are getting away from their kids - Colorado: militia compound, I hope there aren’t any kids - Hokkaido: hospital for the rich, nobody’s paying for their kid for something like that - New Zealand, Raynard doesn’t have any kids - Miami: you rarely see kids at Grand Prix, so they obviously don’t care for an exhibition race - Columbia: There’s literally a gang running the place, so anybody with kids decided to go out of town - India: same as Morocco in the sense that not many kids roam the Bazaar - Whittleton Creek: it’s a neighbourhood full of rich and successful people that haven’t had the time for kids - Sgail: Adult party - New York: kids are almost never at a bank - Maldives: same as Bangkok - Dubai: adult party, same as Paris on a level - Dartmoor: itt’s ba private residence with a family of no kids and the only kid is grown up - Berlin: God, I hope there aren’t any kids - Chongqing: it’s night time and Chinese parents are protective in a country roamed by drones - Argentina: it’s a wine party, I hope there aren’t any kids - Siberia: moving train for a cult

CodeBlue2001

For Sapienza, the kids are probably in school. They never say what time or day it is.

notechart

There's that one building in Sapienza where you can hear kids from the outside (running around, yelling). I mean, if you ignore the whole, "there's nothing inside but a shovel and some creepy silence" thing.

Why does a disguise remain compromised even if you get a new version of it? They aren't checking every other person wearing that outfit, just 47?

Phastic

Because it’s the same disguise and the outfit overall is still the same

TheMerchantMagikarp

I haven’t checked this but in some maps (Colombia I think?) the guard outfits look very different from each other but are still compromised

Siefeceptio

How does AI in Chongqing not realise that Agent 47 is in the building? And not only the AI, but your target doesn't even recognise you, and you are at that time the most wanted guy by the ICA.

Phastic

You mean when disguised?

Siefeceptio

Yes. Yeah, he is disguised but there are a lot of analysts working there, so I think that they should be able to recognise Agent 47. And you can also talk directly with the target who is expecting ICA BOARD MEMBER, not just any random dude. And on top of that, you are wanted by ICA. This one is pretty hard to explain.

Phastic

Across the ages, they know 47 is elusive enough to not have that many files on him. You’d be surprised how many CEOs don’t recognize their top team players

Siefeceptio

Imogen Royce was expecting a literal ICA Board member. ICA Board members should be known, the meeting was scheduled and Imogen likes to learn about people and predict their moves, so I think that she should know how he looks. Oh, and when you said "CEOs don't recognise their top team players", the Board member recognised Agent 47 (he is suspicious of you when you are in your suit), so I think that their top tier analyst will know about Agent 47.

joujoubox

Ah yes, I was expecting you. Don't mind your face and voice are completly different from 10 minues ago.

Phastic

There’s 20 other guards with the same outfit. 47 could be any other one of them, not necessarily your buddy

poop_creator

During the announcement trailer 47 is shown full sprinting through a snowy forest. What is he less motivated to move quickly when being shot at than when he’s training? Why would he speed train and then never use it?

Phastic

Not to quickly exert stamina, he’s fast enough in a jog, and 47 will almost always be the one shooting

GoldenGekko

Someone falling 5 feet through a trap door into standing water should not instantly leave the mortal coil

marshthacreep

47 can't jump

Phastic

He’s 57 years old

CodeBlue2001

He can hang off ledges for plenty of time just fine. This is just the developers not bothering with a jump mechanic besides jumping off ledges. Speaking of which, there is a trick in the Sapienza Biolab. You know the ledge with the pipe you climb down, behind the tiny security building? If you aim your pistol down and press the climb/jump button, 47 will simply jump down the ledge. A neat little speedrunning tactic

SirCheeseEater

But he's literally engineered to be peak. The man's very light jog is as fast a normal person's sprint.

Phastic

He doesn’t want to look like an idiot and doesn’t want to run his back

Inner_Information_26

Siefeceptio

Why don't guards find it suspicious when Agent 47 carries multiple random items in his inventory during a frisk? I mean, why does he need 2 crowbars?

Phastic

Dildo for him and a friend. Guards don’t ask questions. Or he just hides them very well. Also, in the original 2016 game, the highest difficulty counted those items as not illegal, but suspicious, which I think they should’ve kept with for the rest of the games

Siefeceptio

When people see you do something suspicious and they follow you but you escape them, why don't they say anything if you approach them again?

Phastic

You see it happen all the time. I personally wouldn’t care after it happened. You can’t hold them to being a criminal after like 10 mins

There’s 20 other guards, all of which wear the same outfit. His friend could’ve wandered off as 47 walks in, two different guards only similar in position and dress
