I lost my sister in 2016 and not long after my best friend at the time lost her grandfather. It's weird to say that I'm thankful that I was able to understand what she was going through bc I'm definitely not thankful that I lost my sister. But it was nice to have someone to talk to and to be able to help her in the process as well. But there were some days that I just couldn't do it. If you do not have enough spoons to take care of yourself don't spend them on someone else. I'm not saying to ignore that they are in pain and need you, but in order to be able to be there for someone else you need to be there for yourself first! In my experience the one year mark was the hardest. Make sure to take care of yourself and don't be afraid to reach out to those around you if you need help. Sending positive vibes to you, your family, and your friends! ❤️
