I personally think they showed him just to give people an idea of out what the story is going to tell. Plus it also leaves a lot of questions. Will tyr help us or will he betray us? Is that the real tyr? I think what they showed in the trailer is just the tip of the iceberg. I honestly cannot wait we are only three months away and it cannot come quick enough.
Could be one of those things where its the first 25 mins of the game so its relatively one of the first missions. Or it could be a mislead, those happen alot lol. There’s honestly no telling until the game drops but i personally believe its a combination of both reasons. Like its sort of kinda the beginning where we save tyr, but its not what we think & tyr either ends up to be evil or he dies early on. These are just theories as to why they decided to show tyr of all gods during their trailer. I personally dont believe this will come to pass but if it does then shitttt
There’s no way we get that far into svartalheim in the first 25 minutes, although I think they are trying to throw us off, the way kratos speaks of Tyr isn’t really like him, I don’t think he will ever say that in game, Atreus says just before this ‘what if there was someone who could help us’ but then the shot changes to the view of svartalheim, as it isn’t what he really says
We know it’s svartalheim from the map in the Jotnar edition, which shows the stalactites and is the only map which shows caves. If I was to guess we meet brok, sindri and Durlin(?), with durlin knowing something about Tyr. Also it took about 6 hours to get to alfheim
I never thought it was Odin. I was always believed it was Tyr, but him speculated to be Odin was extremely hot topic in this sub and it created a lot of discussion.
Because all we’ve seen of him is that we find him. My guess is that Tyr is discovered like 4 hours into the game, so it’s not too big a deal that they reveal it.
Note that besides seeing Tyr, Fenrir, Thir, and Angrboda we don’t know who else is appearing as a new character.

How do we even know its far into svartalfheim? Alfheim was relatively hella early in the game & we it was just a big ass temple really

>also it took about 6 hours to get to alfheim. Damn really☠️☠️it felt like i got there crazy fast
I mean before that you fight baldur, meet Freya, meet the world serpent, begin climbing the mountain then backtrack to the temple
To create confusion and speculations. And it also worked. Is it Ođinn or Tyr?
What made you speculate that it could be Odin?

Probably because its far from the biggest twist in the game.
