I do roasted red pepper sauce or pumpkin
I just read a recipe for pumpkin sauce. How is it? Do you have a favorite recipe?
The company Fody makes stuff that'd garlic and onion free. If I'm feeling brave enough for tomato, they're my go to
I’ll give it a try.
I made a marinara sauce recipe from The Acid Watcher Cookbook (Dr. Jonathan Aviv) last night and experienced no pain or regurgitation. It has carrots and celery in it to neutralize tomato acids. I also used San Marzano tomatoes which are less acidic and do not contain citric acid or anything other than tomatoes and salt. Just in case, I added a small pinch of baking soda. No onions or garlic, but believe it or not, you will not miss them. Toss in a few fresh basil leaves and some salt and let it simmer, then put it all in a blender. I was so scared to try this but wanted to give it a go. I highly recommend, although I wouldn't have it every day.
The acid watcher diet book and Facebook group have some good Nomato/vegan cheese sauce /pesto recipes.
Have you tried any? I’ve been curious about those.
I’ve made versions of the Nomato and the cheese sauces. Takes some practice but can be tasty. Don’t go into it expecting tomato though
