Cura and slicer just won’t slice my model property and when I try to print it it prints 3 mm high for no reason and I can’t figure out why it won’t slice correctly. I used sketch up pro to model it. Please help me.

Make sure the normals aren’t reversed/inverted for that area of the print.

TheMisa17

are those 2 bodies? or just one. If there are 2 bodies, try to join them with meshmixer and try again

Sneaky_FPV

Fix the normals.

playstatijonas

Likely an issue in SketchUp! Either reverse faces or internal edges on your model. The add-on Solid Inspector will fix that for you with the push of a button.

I had something similar happen to me with fusion 360. I exported all of the bodies in the subassembly but it didn’t combine them in the Stl. Had to combine into the same component and it worked like a charm.

vikram7

Open it in 3D builder which will automatically fix the normals. Save it as stl and open again in Cura to slice it.. This usually fixes the issue for me. You can also add mesh tools plugin in Cura, right Click on the model and select Fix normals.

RaucousLife

Make sure your object is grouped and labeled as "solid" before exporting. If it isn't use "solid inspector" to find out why and fix it.

weron20

if it's on stl, try to fix stl online or use meshmixer to make solid.

Error404x_

Might be the skirt. Try reducing the distance to 5mm or just turn it off.
