Great drafts, which of your 3 drafts do you prefer?

I’m firmly on draft one with Kane and Haaland with a Haaland to Watkins move in GW28. Between GW28-29 Haaland has one game vs Liverpool whereas Watkins will have three. I’ll look to get back Haaland in GW30 defo. Which draft do you like? Thanks for your feedback, appreciate it!

Great article! That team in 29 looks absurdly strong, but not having Haaland in 30 would scare the crap out of me. How would you plan to get him back in?

This is great. I think I prefer Henry over mee and I can't abide by dropping haaland because of the value in him and the city doubles after gw32 though !

If you had Haaland from the start you would lost .4 selling him and buying him back, assuming no price changes happening. .4 this season isn't that much considering we all probably have loads in the bank. You'll probably want him from GW30 onwards as he has Southampton and Leicester in 30 and 31 respectively. He has Palace in 27. If you don't have Haaland that week you will be nervous. Blanks 28. Then Liverpool at home in 29. Despite this week where they were up against teams alergic to scoring, Liverpool defence has been leaky so he could do damage there. So, even if you ignore the value lost, ditching Haaland is risky as so many people own him and he could bang in a lot of those games.

SGW Haaland is often better than DGW anyone else, but BGW Haaland is guaranteed to score worse than anyone else. Plus, with the other premiums falling out of favour (KDB, Salah) it's likely people will have 0.4m to spare to bring him back. I doubt he's going to go up in price again between GW27 and GW29. Might even possibly drop if a lot of people follow this strategy and get rid of him temporarily too.

BGW Haaland scores the same amount as DGW Tarkowski :D What a waste it was getting him in.

Is Henry nailed?

Defo

No. He's first choice, but prone to be rotated here and there.

So Mees more nailed?

Yeah, CBs in general tend to be less rotation prone.

Just the obvious .5 cost swaying your Henry preference? With money as it is this year, I think it's worth the added .5 for Mee's potential scoring. Especially over 5 games in 3 weeks.

I haven't got as much money as others it seems, as I've lost tonnes of value in players despite having a decent rank. But also I tend to prefer attacking fbs over cbs for bps and attacking return probabilities. I could be missing something in mee's xgi numbers though

Great job, thanks! Question: why do you have Mee over Mings in draft 1, but then Mings over Mee in draft 3? You only have Raya and Toney as other BRE players in both drafts, so just curious. Cheers!

Thanks for the feedback, the reason for Mee over Mings and the reverse is that Mee has good fixtures in the short term till GW28, Mings has good doubles in GW29 imo compared to Mee who’ll have Man United in one game. Going Mings early would obviously mean one less doubler in GW27 but you might avoid a Brentford defence double up in GW29/ use of a free transfer if you want to move Mee out in GW29, the FT could be used to get a attacker for GW29(Maddison/Bruno) instead. In short Mee is a good pick on top of Raya if you’re looking short term. Mings over Mee if you want to potentially avoid using a transfer going into DGW29. Hope I have clarified it for you:)

Great read. One quick question, you've got Rashford on the bench for GW 26 in draft 1? Granted he's got Liverpool but he's been in fantastic form. Interested to hear your take on it.

No worries my pleasure mate. Interesting that you've got Maddison in place of another Arsenal midfielder like an Odegaard or Martinelli in draft 1. I know Leicester double in GW 29, but Maddison can be brought in that GW for a hit if required? Think the Arsenal midfielders are on fire at the moment. Interested to hear what you think.

Agree with you, Maddison is kind of a differential to go from now rather than get him for GW29. While most of the other players pick themselves in the WC draft for most teams that second Arsenal spot in midfield is one of the few areas you can differentiate. I feel confident that Maddison will have a good impact, whenever he plays Leicester are really good as well. If you want to play it safe without risking on Madders then surely Odegaard or Martinelli are excellent options till GW29.

Sorry that you’re annoyed with the ads. But calling it cancerous is too harsh and unfair. For me to sustain the blog and break even without any revenue outside some ads is impossible. No blogs of ours is behind a paywall, my strong motive is that FPL is a free game and any content should be free as well and that’s how I have kept the blog 100% free to access for 3+ years. No other popular FPL website is 100% free to access as well ! For a 3000 word blog there’s only 5 ads shown in more than 10 scrolls, I have reduced it as we’ll considerable to keep reading experience good for users. I’ll try to reevaluate and reduce the ads further if possible, but please be kind in your feedback.

Love your first team but I am kinda worried to completely remove all arsenal assets. They will be very important in Gw32 and probably saka will likely a popular captain that week. And we already booked the gw30 transfer to bring back Haaland . Really tore between going with Maddison or have Saka instead.
