WC 26/27 or not, I'm definitely not using my FH on 28. Too little upside. I'll just field 7-9 players.
Personally, as things stand, I really like the WC26/27, BB29 and FH in 32 or later.
Yeah totally agree with you, I put in a rough FH 28 draft in the above blog for those who want to consider it and I actually found it hard to fill the team, very little upside as you mention. I firmly believe holding the FH for GW32 will be really useful, Ofcourse dependent on the FA Cup quarter final draws. I’m similar to your strategy as well to Wildcard in GW26/27, BB in 29 and FH in GW32/34/37(Based on draw/results)
Just wanted to say that I really love the website. You guys are putting out really good stuff. The scout picks and captaincy metrics helped me a lot last season especially.
Agreed. A lot of FPL managers fundamentally misunderstand the point of the FH chip and just default to whenever they have the most blanks.
If Fulham win today, Haaland, Kane, KDB, Salah, TAA, Bruno, and Rashford are all out. All of the "premium" players. Also, a lot of teams already have triple Arsenal, most have Trippier, and even more have multiple from Newcastle.
People clowned on FH25 because the only upside was Liverpool assets, but the only upside to FH28 really is Chelsea assets who are even worse, plus Watkins who you can just get in on a FT
I'm definitely using mine in 28 because it is not just about that GW it is also about 26 27 and 29, you can get all DGW players there without thinking about GW28
Interesting article, it definitely looks doable to WC a team for 27, 28 & 29 which I was thinking was impossible. It feels like you've put this out a couple of days too early though, we're going to gain so much new info after the FA cup games so nobody should be making big plans right now
Thanks and yes it’s a day or two early but I’ll fully update it once again after the FA cup games plus the 6th round draw in the next few days. The idea was to give an overview on the GW26 wildcard now!
Great article with good team drafts. I think the key is to save 1 chip through these few matches, that allows you to either dead end to GW32 and WC33, or to build for DGWs34/7 and FH32. The success of WC26/7 essentially is a punt on Brentford and Brighton. It's even more difficult when you consider the easy fixtures in GW27 for some of the players they would be replacing.
Yeah totally agree on what you have said, either saving the WC or the FH for the blank in GW32 or the doubles in GW34/37 is pretty essential IMO considering the fact the chances of cup upsets are less. The teams blanking in GW28/32 will be the ones doubling in GW34/37 so either the FH to manage GW32 blank or a WC to plan for the doubles in 34/37 will be quite useful. Let's see how the FA Cup results over the next two days!
Hello everyone, GW26 wildcard is an interesting chip strategy which allows you to set a team for GW27, 28 and 29 in one go and help you avoid the free hit in BGW28. In this blog i have worked on the pros/cons of wildcarding this week along with two GW26 drafts and how the drafts will look in the upcoming three weeks with planned moves(You could have 6 doublers in GW27, 8/9 players in GW28 and 13/14 doublers in GW29). [**Do check it out**](https://allaboutfpl.com/2023/02/fpl-gw26-wildcard-team-drafts-to-consider-wildcard-guide/) if you are considering wildcarding this week, feedback and support from here is always appreciated.
Fell free to drop in you chip related queries as well and i'll answer the same to my best!
There's some nice ideas here. I keep going back and forth on whether to do the 27,28,29 chip blast. The main thing that puts me off is that we're only really 2/3rds of the way through the season, so waiting until GW33 or so feels like a smarter way to see out the season with a bigger squad.
It's been a long season for these teams. They'll be tired, they had the World Cup recently too. I would hypothesize that there are more injuries later in a season than early.
I think burning all my chips in a three week period when there's still 10 games still to be played is a risk that doesn't get thought of as much when purely thinking in terms of DGW / BGWs.
Yeah mentioned it as a note in the blog, you can swap Watkins to Kane in the draft and then bring Watkins for Kane in GW28 when Spurs could blank in GW28 and play only once in GW29(vs Man United). Only disadvantage is that you’ll have one less player in GW28 if you’re not free hitting as you’ll be using a FT on Watkins there!
Hello everyone, did not want to repost it again here but I have updated the blog and drafts based on the FA Cup games. Now with Brentford and Leicester not blanking in GW28 the WC 26 strategy is even more relevant. [**Do give it a read**](https://allaboutfpl.com/2023/02/fpl-gw26-wildcard-team-drafts-to-consider-wildcard-guide/) if you want to WC this week or see why this strategy could work. As always feedback is much appreciated!

Any advantage in playing WC for GW26 rather than GW27? Isn’t it just an extra week for things to go wrong?

No Kane?! I’m not making that mistake again.

Lots of updating to do now!!
Ahh yes, Spurs bottled it once again. Will update it soon!
I might go crazy and drop Haaland. Watkins Kane and Toney instead. Wild card. Bring Haaland back in gW29. Edit: changed my mind already..!
Good idea, thanks!

The survey for captain of GW26 has incorrect info, I think. You have listed Salah with his fixtures for GW25.
I guess the free hit will take place in g28 coz of the blank games ,
How many times u can use FH and WC ?
