Having spent ages Infront of various spreadsheets and team planners I've decided the best strategy for me is: get through GW25 with what I have and just wait for the FA Cup matches to determine what GW28 is actually going to look like, then decide before GW26 what my strategy is going to be.
It's too up in the air with unknown fixtures to be able to have a solid plan until February is over.

Totally agree, next midweek will offer us soo much clarity after the FA Cup games and the QF draw. Liverpool playing or not in GW28, scenarios for GW32 blank and potential doubles in 34/37 will all be known. I'll keep the post updated next week as well when the FA Cup fixtures are over!
!thanks It's been a very useful article. Glad to hear you'll keep updating it. I've had it open in a tab for the past week or so trying to figure out my plans.
Thanks a lot, appreciate it:)
Hello everyone, I have written a chip strategy blog for the season covering all possible scenarios based on the current information all of us have with us. I have split the blog into two, the first half consists of likely windows to play each of the chips with pros/cons for each scenario, and the second half which contains most of the possible combinations. [**Do give it a read**](https://allaboutfpl.com/2023/02/when-to-use-your-fpl-chips-fpl-chip-strategy/) and feel to bookmark it for later use, I'll keep it regularly updated as well. Feedback and support from here is appreciated as always:) If you have any chip-related questions, do drop a reply and I'll clarify the same as well for you!
Thanks for post which was helpful. My team is a bit of a mess so I’m leaning towards WC25 despite you advising against it. My question is at what point is it okay to WC25? I have Patterson, Tripps, Shaw, Ake and White in defence - 2 blank, 1 is recovering from injury and won’t play much, Ake who knows, and White might not start both games as we saw for their last DGW. On top of this crap defence, I also have no Saka or Salah who are probably must haves this GW and only 1 FT. To get both I’d need a -12 realistically which I don’t think is worth it when I can WC and plan ahead for the future GWs
That's a tricky situation to be honest, do you have a free hit left? If you WC now then you have to make an assumption mainly on Liverpool assets, if they play in GW28(For which Fulham have to lose to Leeds in FA Cup) then your WC draft for GW25 can be a bit easier. If they don't play in GW28(For which Fulham have to win against Leeds in FA Cup) then it gets tricky tbh. 3x Arsenal, 1x Everton, 1x Villa, 1x Chelsea, and 2/3 x Liverpool will be the core structure I'll do if I WC this week. Arsenal and Everton double in 25 and play in GW28. Villa and Chelsea play in GW28 and double in GW29. Will probably have one/two from Newcastle on the bench as they play in GW28 and double in GW29 although they blank this week. Hope it helps!
Thanks! I do have FH left so was thinking of using that in GW28 and setting my team up for DGW25, DGW27, DGW29 with WC and FT (maybe a hit or two on the way)
Thanks for such a wonderful reply! TheGratitudeBot has been reading millions of comments in the past few weeks, and you’ve just made the list of some of the most grateful redditors this week!
I'm saving my WC for 33 so I can get the optimal bench boost for 34. Took a -12 making 5 transfers this week, but I'm set up nicely long term and shouldn't need to take hits for a while.
Thoughts on FH28 vs FH29? The managers thinking about WC33 into BB34 seem to be using their FH for the DGW29, but to be i don't think the fixtures are awfully good, so I'm currently thinking of using transfers to navigate the doubles in 27 and 29, and using FH in 28 instead. I know it sounds counter intuitive to bring in players to keep for 29 when i said the fixtures aren't great, but it feels better than wasting a chip on it. I already have half of my starting 11 doubling anyway and there's plenty of time to prepare for it. The downside would be getting off Kane/triple Arsenal. Thoughts? Great run down by the way!
Yeah, I agree on the doubles in GW29 not looking too good, I always feel value over volume. Soo many of the teams playing in double have at least one tricky fixture. Teams like Liverpool play away to Man City and Chelsea, and Man United have Newcastle away. A FH29 will force you to get players just for the sake of them doubling. You can easily get Brighton and Brentford assets in GW27 and have them for 29 too. Leicester can be delt with directly ahead of GW29 as I feel they are one of the teams with a good 29 double. I like the idea of FH28 and believe GW29 can be managed without a FH or WC. WC in 33 and BB in GW34 will also be great to gain ranks on managers who by then would have used all or most of the chips. Thanks for the feedback too, appreciate it!
Great stuff, I appreciate your response! !thanks
No problem, happy to help always!

Yep, you're right, I would certainly target Brighton and Brentford in GW27 to cover their two doubles without having to worry about gw28 blank if you're free hitting in GW28.
Yep that's the plan! I already have Mitoma and i can spend the next couple weeks bringing in Estupinian and Mee. Not sure about Toney yet, it'll depend on his yellow cards as he's already on 8. The rest of my transfers would include Leicester players or maybe Watkins.
Do you think a con of saving wildcard for 33 or 34 is is that it only gives you 4-5 game weeks to see the value returned from that chip?
I kinda agree with this - my squad is in a pretty shit place at the moment so I'm going FH this week into WC next week. Just going to pick a solid 15 man squad of good players that have doubles and also players that will cover when I have blanks. Feel like so many people on this sub focus on targeting the DGW and BGW with chips and could end up getting let down by looking too much into them.
