I just dont get why they let the ears to be seen. Looks dumb. Even Evans himself said he thinks his ears are big and that he does not like the helmetm but seeing this dude makes his ears totally fine.
I think that’s the whole point - you’re not supposed to like this version of cap. He’s deliberately visually off-putting because I imagine he’s being set up either as a minor antagonist or a motivation for Falcon to pick up the shield

I just watched 22 Jump Street earlier and it got me pretty stoked for this dude as a villain. He plays a likable asshole so well, it's a great casting
