it's true. I was talking to an insider about it a month or so ago and their response was that: 1. he has the right body type so he checks that box, 2. then related to height if he is compelling enough than the teams can work around height which is easier than the wrong body type. not easy but possible workable. btw he is so tall because of his Nigerian mother. I will throw out a golden nugget here. I have heard he might start racing as a nigerian soon instead of an american. this is due to there being other Americans ahead of him in sargeant and crawford as well as so much interest recently in Africa and f1. edited

>I have heard he might start racing as a nigerian soon instead of an american. That sounds nice

apexcoach

he has 3 nationalities and to my knowledge he has never lived in Nigeria so not sure how authentic it is but whatever. seems manipulative to me but it is his right with so many citizenships I suppose.

gregdrou

Well nigeria never had a f1 driver so it would be interesting to have a new nationality being represented and especially an african one as there arent many african drivers in motorsport

FakeTakiInoue

What's the third nationality?

dm17b123

His father is Italian, the fashion designer Luca Orlandi

apexcoach

italian

dm17b123

His mother Oluchi is 6 foot herself, it’s no wonder that he’s very tall already at a young age. His father is quite short though, he obviously took after her in that regard. The nationality thing makes sense, I’d be very surprised if there isn’t an American already on the grid by the time he reaches F2. Targeting a different demographic probably isn’t a bad idea. All three of his nationalities can realistically be of benefit to him in different ways.

Joephps

I saw the touring cars at Knockhill where he won in the F4 support race and he’s at least a foot taller than Steve Ryder who interviewed him.

JVM23

If he finishes in the top 3 in British F4, I think Prema will be taking him and Camara (Antonelli is fast tracked to FIA F3) to their FRECA division.

One-Elderberry-7241

I look forward to 16 year old Kimi Antonelli racing 23 year old Gregoire Saucy next year in F3 lol

Violetta_ag

I don't watch Antonelli, he's so young. Is he any good or potential?

JVM23

He has a glowing karting resume and is leading both ADAC and Italian F4 standings.

TylerWhite31

Similar to bearman type pre f3 career?

FakeTakiInoue

Better. Antonelli is pretty much a rookie and much more dominant than Bearman ever was - or Hauger, Pourchaire and Mini, for that matter. It seems to be against a strong field too, with Camara and Dunne as two formidable rivals.

JVM23

And Pourchaire and Hauger.

TylerWhite31

I never paid too close attention to them honestly, but I followed bearman quite close. Kimi sounds like he’s a future star, and I’m hoping he is

One-Elderberry-7241

I just looked it up Kimi has won more ADAC races before the season is up than Bearman, Hauger, or Pourchaire in their full seasons and it’s probably only a matter of time for him to win more in the Italian F4

apexcoach

hard for me to see either your ugo or kimi prediction true in 2023

RF111CH

*Another Ugo appears!*

CoregonusAlbula

UGO UGOCHUKWU! What a name. I hope he performs well.

DrHem

According to Wikipedia, [Ugochukwu's](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ugochukwu) literal translation is "God's Eagle", which is interpreted as "Crown of God" or "Glory of God"
