Thanks for your submission. Please be sure you've looked through the [FAQ's](https://www.reddit.com/r/ElegooMars/wiki/faq) before posting. Our FAQ is community-sourced. If you have information to contribute, please reach out with a modmail! **For troubleshooting posts** - please include the following critical information: 1. Printer (model specifically, Mars, Mars Pro, Saturn). 2. What resin you're using (brand, type, and color). 3. Slicer, version number of slicer, and print settings. 4. What you've tried so far. 5. Include screenshots of the oriented and supported part, as well as photos of the failure, if applicable. Additional images can be uploaded to imgur or similar services and posted as a link in the comments below your original post. **For Unknown File Format issues** please see the section titled [Why does my printer say "Unknown file format?"](https://www.reddit.com/r/ElegooMars/wiki/faq/common_problems_and_solutions#wiki_why_does_my_printer_say_.22unknown_file_format.3F.22), found in the Common Problems & Solutions section of the FAQ. **For firmware related issues** please see the section titled [Updating the Firmware on your Elegoo MSLA Printer](https://www.reddit.com/r/ElegooMars/wiki/faq/printer-maintenance-troubleshooting#wiki_updating_the_firmware_on_your_elegoo_msla_printer), found in the Printer Maintenance & Troubleshooting section of the FAQ. It contains instructions that are more thorough than Elegoo's. Posts regarding firmware will be directed to that link and removed to control repetitive clutter on user feeds, **unless** your request is well-documented with images/links to images to show that your firmware updating issue is unique. If your post is removed, you will be provided with instructions for how to repost with updated criteria. If your issue is **solved**, please update the original post or add a comment about what the solution was. This will help us update and maintain the FAQ, and help people when finding posts via search engines. Thank you, and happy printing! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. You could try adding lubricant to the z-rod. I picked up a cheap tube of lithium grease.

Yes it’s normal.

What exactly is causing it?
