Well I did quite like it because you knew they couldn’t defend very well and playing lots of passing which i like to do anyway would get great results.
Sadly I now can’t stand it because since they buffed all the ai auto interceptions to such a ridiculous level around eight weeks or so ago and at the same time broke passing and turning I have found that players that just run around like headless chickens spamming the shit out of buttons seem to get rewarded for it
I don't think I've ever intercepted a ball, meanwhile my opponents jump about 20ft to bring down lobbed passes with the perfect first touch.

I’m not completely certain but I think that is a connection issue possibly mate. This happens to me a lot. But I had two days last week where my gameplay came to life and my defenders where doing shit Iv never even seen by themselves. Iv literally had two days like this in around ten weeks now
Must be a connection issue from there end then, I don't have any issues playing other games or watching 4k movies. Unless I'm not as smart as I think and there's another reason
Really not certain mate. If all your other stuff is good i don’t see how the problem is your end.
For me though our internet is not the best so until we get fibre when it’s available in our area later this year at some point I will never be able to fully know for sure whether it’s the game or our internet.
Funny thing is though even with not the best connection I managed to still be able to play well enough most of the time before the update I mentioned above that broke the turning and passing etc
Yea that patch did have an effect on ao intetceptions was a bit of a lrarning curve for me bc i like 5o play direct and i kept just reflexivel5 hitting the forward pass think8ng it will zip past the cn like before.. It aeems if there is q plqyer standing in between u and pass receiver and hes sitting deeper and not pressing it woll be much harrder to pass around him and much easier for him to intercept. The key for me was learning tto tale my spece whwn i have it and not just rush passes throufh their deep nidfielders. i now p8t much more emphasis on manupulating the spaace.
TLDR: work on your space awareness and compossure qnd

When they miss the tackle do they still manage to bump into my players? Usually this leads to stumbles and other bad animations that make it hard to keep possession. Annoying.
If they're missing completely then obviously not bothered.
This. I have played people in elite that will run at me and hard tackle through me all game.
My player either stumbles and I get pressed or they give a foul away which ruins any attack.
Half the time though they tackle through me and get the ball.. grr
Literally every game I play my opponent will have 30-50% more tackes then me, I literally never press and I dont even have a press tactic for my team so I probably has something to do with that, press is just soo annoying, literally turns FIFA in hot potato
Yeah legit, I have no press tactics for any of my squads, when i see players doing it on youtube it drains soo much stamina soo quickly, that's another reason I dont like the idea of it
You sure thats not tackles atrempted? Most games for me ita rare for anyone to have more than 10 successful tackl3s and uaually around 4-7. The menu at half and at the end only shows u tackles attempted. If you pull up the match facts screem it will show u how many were actually successful. I am a good denfeder that applies decent manual pressure on balanced tactics and im usually around 4/6 - 7/9 for example.
I rarely end a game with more than 10 tackles. I played a game recently and had one tackle from one attempt and my opponent had something like 6 from 90
Yea same. It means ur actually competent at defending and only tackle with precision at the right time. Those 6/40÷ players dont have alot of experience defending maybe bc they dont play clubs or or never learned properly bc they relied on the bots to defend for them in past fifas.
This has to be one of the easiest opponents to play against. It’s the ones that simply never press a button and they just sit back with 7 men and just cut every passing lane with Prime Vieira you should worry about.
I mean it’s valid way to play, like every other OP tactic. But goddamn for the life of me i cannot find ways to counter that. I sometimes almost admire their patience on waiting for a mistake from me. I just never could play like that, I wouldn’t have fun, it’s very dreary in my opinion. To each their own though.
Weird thing is it works for them, even after they've missed a tackle, their player still miraculously blocks ball after I've dribbled them and was about to pass.
The majority of times this makes it 100x easier because it means the opponent has 0 defensive awareness and is going to keep pulling players out of position
Yea idk what thats about. Ive seen stats like that from my opponent after that game before. Pretty sure its not an effective strategy to just spam. If you take out the outliers, like ppl with 80+tackles that are spamming on purpose, tackle percentage is a good indigator of oppenents defensive ability. Im usually like 8/10 or 5/6. Wirn i see oppnonents with like 5/20 it usuallt means their defense wasnt that good.

Quite the opposite, i love it! If i see someone doing this, i know it's one of the easiest wins i'm going to get. So easy to play against.

if they can spam tackles then you're probably hold the ball too long without penetration.

Their player always find a way to get back up real quick to make another tackle/block.

It'd be fine if failed tackles stunned a bit like they used to but that never happens to my opponents anymore
