Everyone saying they were going up and in on him, the catcher sets up belt level and it looks like the ball just gets away from the pitcher. It wasn’t an intentional up and in, at least in my opinion. Hope JT is ok and back on the field in a couple days.

Never know, though, especially with runners on. Sometimes it’s a decoy setup like that.

It's easily one of the most horrifying-looking baseball injuries I've seen. Don't watch, love. The update is that he's awake and alert and on concussion watch, so all good so far.

If there is such a thing as there being good news from this, it appears the ball didn't hit his head or eye region. Probably broke his jaw tho. Being a member of the broken jaw club myself it's the worst possible injury to live with while initially recovering, but it's nothing too serious that you can't come back from. It's a really nasty injury to look at.

Also a member. Arguably some of the toughest six weeks of my life from a mental health standpoint. Not being able to eat solid food and having to mumble your way through communications is a bitch. Get well JT!
