Welcome back, dress warm, Stasis is here. Here's a rundown on a PvP-centric list of changes from a PC perspective: Recoil has increased across the board, but it's really not that bad. Hand cannons changed to 120, 140 and 180. 150 and 110 no longer exist (except Sunshot, that's still 150). Scouts now have better bullet magnetism, use the MIDA if you want a gun that aims itself. Snipers have lower magnetism based on scope zoom, use long ranged scopes for easier shots. Shotguns are still shotguns, they recently got nerfed pretty harshly, I recommend using slugs if you have the knack for them. SMGs are still SMGs, aggressive frames being the choice in PvP. Auto rifles are buffed a little I guess? LMGs will be buffed soon. Rockets are stupid good, grenade launchers are stupid bad. Swords are having a mid life crisis. Fusions rifles are still a meme, except Jotun (don't be that guy though). Sidearms are still sidearms. Pulse rifles are still pulse rifles, but I think they got a buff recently, I honestly never see them much so I guess it wasn't that good. Bows are still bows, try using one in Momentum control. I would go over how all the classes changed but they keep getting nerfed and then buffed and then reworked and then nerfed, it's hard to tell what they even looked like last year. I recommend just throwing on a good hand cannon, a shotgun or sniper, and a beefy rocket, for just about all content, or whatever weapons you need to make use of seasonal champion mods. I'm sure I missed some stuff though, but that's the general gist of how things look right now.

Oh and don't jump at the chance to delete your whole vault, all weapons are still viable in casual PvP and the really good really old weapons and perk combos are really rare. They're like Magic cards, they just don't make them as strong as they used to. Toss the armor if you'd like, there's always better pants to be had. Oh and don't forget to use all your Vanguard tokens, those are going bye bye real soon and you might as well get some legendary shards from them if nothing else. And also Banshee finally sells weapons, after all these years, the gunsmith finally smiths guns.
