Nan Chan Cold Sands Glory To Rule In A Turbulent World

eurydiceq

Does anyone know if there's been another translator to pick up the very end of LSWW? This has been on my wishlist for so long but in so afraid to read it and never know the end.

Adding those you've already mentioned, I also have the following on my list of favourites: - 2HA (officially licensed in English but no details announced yet) - please check the longest list of trigger warnings, it's not for everyone - Can Ci Pin /Imperfections/The Defective - Mist - Peerless Only 2HA and Peerless can be accessed at this point in time, and 2HA isn't fully translated. Hopefully the fan translators will find a way to continue to share their work.

I want to read 2HA but it’s such a long novel to commit to and the topics can be difficult to swallow. I think that at least for me, I could never binge-read it for the wellbeing of my mental health, so when it does start releasing in volumes in English, I’ll give it a go I really wanna read Can Ci Pin. Everyone seems to love it

sweet_cinnamon7

I didn't have high expectations for Can Ci Pin based on the donghua and also it's not the typical genre I go for. But unlike some Priest novels, romance is central to the story and you can see how their relationship develops and changes as events unfold. Beans translation back up: https://privatter.net/p/8418760 P.S. Don't feel like you have to read 2HA because it's popular. There's lots of other great danmei out there.

Be aware that in 2Ha the TWs aren't just in a handful of chapters - it's all over the book. Even though it's super hyped, it's not for everyone. While I personally enjoyed it overall (but think it's a bit overhyped), I wouldn't say it's a must-read for anyone except those who like epic xianxia romance that gets **very** dark (and not just in terms of noncon - check the TWs in the Suika-Rynn TL, it's a full list of every TWs - and the TWs are often very graphic). If you find the first 5-10 chapters stretches your limit, you might be better off dropping the rest. Also it's HE between the abuser and the victim, and that's not for everyone despite gong's redemption arc and some specific plot elements that might make it easier to come to terms with.

Icy_Dragonfruit_3513

Hard to say since it depends so much on taste. Am kind of annoyed (not with translators, just with the whole situation) that I kept postponing reading so many of the popular authors, and now I'm stressing about trying to get my hands on copies before it's too late. Despite this I don't actually have that many JJ favorites, since I've only read a handful of authors from that site (Meatbun, MXTX, Priest, Lu Tianyi, Xi Zixu, Zhichu + some more forgettable ones) and besides MXTX and Lu Tianyu I haven't read more than 1-2 novels of each of the others. Besides MXTX's novels I wouldn't say any of the others are must-read novels, since even high quality novels like 2Ha and Qi Ye have their flaws. But I'm definitely suffering from FOMO right now. Most of my current favorites are actually from Gonzicp and iQiyi - and the one writer I would say is close to a must-read is Shui Qiancheng, who have a few novels on JJ, but most are only partially translated and most are now on iQiyi as well after SQC's contract with JJ expired. But SQC isn't for everyone, her stories are quite dark and explicit. Even though I haven't yet finished it, I now consider Wu Chang Jie a must-read for those who can stomach the angst/abuse/violence. I did have a super long JJ reading list based on recs, which included: * Sha Po Lang * Silent Reading * Can Ci Pin * Faraway Wanderers * Yuwu * Nan Chan * Thousand Autumns * Peerless * To rule in a Turbulent World (still accessible? But unfinished) * Kaleidoscope of Death (still accessible at this point) * Mistakenly Saving the Villain (password protected but access might be possible?) * Qiang Jin Jiu * Saye

sweet_cinnamon7

If it helps your FOMO at all, Mo Du also known as Silent Reading is back and you can download the epub/pdf directly from there to read later. The password hint is given on the main page below, though I did have to give the epilogue password a few goes. https://edanglarstranslations.com/modu Ping me if you need help.

No_Relationship4039

Hi! Could I trouble you to explain it to me? What does it mean by main ship? And url for the epilogue?

bujobegins

Wu Chang Jie…I am intrigued, but I’m concerned that the ML is irredeemable. Thoughts on whether I should read this or not if say, I love Hualian kind of relationships?

Icy_Dragonfruit_3513

Have you read any kind of scum gong stories before? You might want to start with something lighter and less graphic if you're not sure whether you will like it. You also need to figure out if you can handle the TWs. The graphic noncon chapters can be skipped (the TLs have warnings) and there's only a handful, but the male yandere trope is not for everyone. This is not Hualian, doesn't even come close. It's more like 2Ha, gong hurting his beloved in the worst possible ways because of a love that has become twisted for plot reasons. I think for readers new to male yandere gong, SVSSS might be a good place to start, since the gong is fairly mild compared to the general trope. Otherwise you can try one of the milder books in SQC's 188 series. Winner Takes All has a pretty 'tame' yandere as well. As far as I've read in WCJ, I would say that whether the gong can be redeemed or not is besides the point. He has very good reasons to be in pain and to hate the MC, and he copes by hurting the MC. There's a classic misunderstanding trope which causes the gong's actions, and personally I can emphasize with the ML even though I can't condone what he does. Same as the villains in MDZS. But don't expect any kind of healthy romance from this writer, she writes angst, heartbreak and characters choosing love over reason (and often self-preservation).

Abject_Country810

hahaha mist one of most favorite modern novel

zola129

The disabled tyrants pet palm fish, It's a super cute book about a guy who transmigrates into a danmei but he is a fish. He has to complete tasks to regain his human form such as share a pillow with the tyrant. They fall in love and it's a super healthy relationship. Very fluffy The reborn otaku's code of practice for the apocalypse, A guy who survived 11 years of the zombie apocalypse is reborn a few months before it started. He has no powers but he is really good at survival, such as growing crops in his home, water filtration systems and wielding a badass crossbow. A few days after the apocalypse actually starts (which he has prepped like crazy for) he finds the ML passed out on the stairwell of his home and brings him home where they farm and kill zombies together. There is also a real found family trope with their neigbours.

Y'all I'm a big danmei fan, but i haven't heard about the lack of access to novels in detail. Can someone explain it to me please ?

ayavorska05

Due to recent JJWXC's decision to open international site for translated novels, the whole community was affected badly. Translations are being locked due to fan translators being afraid of their work stolen and used for profits on JJWXC's site + a lot of people are simply afraid of copyright things so they completely lock/stop translating. I'm not best in explaining, but basically JJWXC saw the possibility of milking international audience and set up everything in the worst way possible. Plus their contract is super predatory and everything will be censored, so no fan translator is going to it on their own will. Here's more in-depth explanations I could find https://mobile.twitter.com/llwy_jmoon/status/1484089149636239362?s=20 https://vierran45.tumblr.com/post/673843015962525696/jjwxcs-new-plan-to-open-an-english-language-site https://foxghost.tumblr.com/post/673815619695706112/oi-fox-please-tell-me-what-you-think-the-chances

Thanks so much for explaining! Can't believe JJWXC was this nasty.
