thelivingshitpost

__***WHY ARE YOU DETECTING CLOTHES BY CASTING SOUP STORE?!?***__

rawdash

# FUCK YOU

vortigaunt64

Man... What's purple eyes up to nowadays?

kpecc99

I don't know but I hope he's doing well. I gave up on hoping to see the rest of season 1 made long ago but damn every time I think about code ment I wish it was longer

teagoo42

Afaik he's doing alright. He's some sort of doctor irl and life just got too busy for him to keep making code meant

GetawayDiver

First thought was that fucking breakfast club back-and-forth monologue Bender had about his dad

Quetzalbroatlus

Oh my god I thought you meant the robot

acanoforangeslice

this entire thread is the adhd ✨experience✨

Blooogh

It's _good soup Bront_

utkohoc

##cast it into the soup *No*

marsgreekgod

AryaDrottningu06

marsgreekgod

AryaDrottningu06

Are one of his Boys^TM ? (Also WOOOOOOOOOH)

TastyBrainMeats

Cuz he's good at crime 🎶

Thromnomnomok

No, it's Vincent MURDER now!

kismethavok

For anyone who doesn't know the origins of the soup store sketch it's from Code Ment on youtube.

Trooper924

I wonder what the original context of that picture was. Why was an orangutan and a bunch of otters in the same place?

QuasiAdult

A Belgium private zoo decided to let the otters live in a river that runs through the orangutan exhibit and posted the pictures on facebook. [Here's an article about it](https://www.livescience.com/orangutan-otter-friends.html).

IronicContrarian

Is that safe? Don’t orangutans rip apart small animals that get close to them?

Brittakitt

I think you're thinking chimps. I wanna say orangutans are fairly passive animals?

cambriansplooge

Orangutans natural territory is over rivers and I’ve never heard of them showing chimplike aggression, they’re quite passive

ShitPostQuokkaRome

Not so much, they're not outright cruel like chimps but they can be extremely defensive in some things, an orangutan is not passive like a deer or capybara, they can be very violent, just not aggressive

NinjaSquirrel99

Happy cake day

JackC747

And thank god for that. I’m pretty sure orangutans could wipe out the human race with their bare hands if they really set their mind to it

MarcelRED147

Ook* ^^^^* ^^^^Only ^^^^if ^^^^you ^^^^*insist* ^^^^on ^^^^dogearing ^^^^book ^^^^pages ^^^^before ^^^^returning ^^^^them.

Thestarchypotat

mmmmmm very good, im only on the 7th tho

notagoodboye

Only like 35 to go!

Thestarchypotat

theyre good but i have to find a way to send them to my kindle because reading on a phone is pain

IExtremelyNeedCoffee

Have you tried Calibre ?

Glossen

GNU STP

DeeSnow97

didn't we just have a discussion on this a few days ago? also, would love to see them try to take on the entire us military-industrial complex, they'd be blasted to kingdom come before they can say "cope cage"

Quetzalbroatlus

Don't underestimate any great ape. They will fuck you up

Brittakitt

Dont get me wrong, I wouldnt want to be trapped in a room with any of them. But if it was between being trapped with a chimp or trapped with an orangutan, then I'd pick orangutan every time.

Vaultdweller013

Is this why Jerma is so dangerous?

Quetzalbroatlus

He is in fact an "ascendant ape". If you see him, you're already dead

Vaultdweller013

Nah I'll feed him to the Joshua Trees, they thirsty.

Virtem

I am more worry about the otters attacking the orangutan... supposly they are vicious creatures

Maronmario

I do remember a zoo that did this exact thing early COVID with a pair of orangutangs and their child and several otters by connecting their exhibits. The whole thing went off without a hitch, the orangutangs and the otters became fast friends

_bio_

I concur with the other comment, I think you're thinking of chimps

falsebrit

no its not jkr is in the article

CharmingPterosaur

I loved it until I learned it brought joy to JK Rowling Oh what the hell, I still love it 🦦🦦🦦💖🦧

falsebrit

ew jkr

FixinThePlanet

"romp of otters" is a phrase I did not know I needed in my life

MyNameIsASwear

I'm assuming a zookeeper wanting the animals to get some variety in their daily experiences, or one who is trying to start a fight club.

rawdash

otters are the cutest lil shits, lets domesticate them

pterrorgrine

*The Dispossessed* by Ursula K. LeGuin briefly features a domesticated otter, but sadly it is on the evil capitalism planet and not the enlightened and righteous ancom planet

rawdash

utopia vs otters is a *very* difficult choice, i must say

pterrorgrine

The subtitle says it's an ambiguous utopia but the text is pretty clear about it being an (alien) otter. Checkmate, anarchists.

rawdash

gif of me crumbling into a pile of dust like infinity war

Fox--Hollow

If it makes it any easier, the utopia is on the moon and continually on the brink of starvation.

Begoneeth

“The evil capitalism planet” So earth

pterrorgrine

Well... yeah, basically. The other half of the planet is actually evil tankies and it was written during the Cold War so it's pretty deliberate.

IntercedingPaperclip

Earth (or at least Le Guin’s portrayal of future Earth) is also in the novel, and its level of ecological destruction and general shittiness is even higher than evil capitalism planet, although the Terrans have mostly cleaned up their act by the time the novel takes place

Ya-boi-Joey-T

"You cast detect claims, burning a first level spell slot. There are no claims nearby."

XoIKILLERIoX

Ok but what about clams?

Ya-boi-Joey-T

That one's not a spell

utkohoc

I think the spell was faulty. Cast detect clams again.

Hummerous

CasualBrit5

I don’t need clams, I can cast Summon Bigger Fish

Mazzaroppi

You don't need magic for that. There is always a bigger fish

PikachuDX

Exactly. Which is why you have to counteract it with an even bigger one.

Devisidev

I can see my party's goblin player doing this.

AustinCorgiBart

I'm confused, what is the significance of the picture? I'm slow.

dro_helium

They are otters, otters like water (and clams I guess) and it looks like the orangutan is telling a story to them or in this case DMing for them

AustinCorgiBart

Oh! Makes sense. Thanks!

jacw212

Literally me a couple sessions ago talking about a suspicious looking candle

sewage_soup

NuclearWalrusNetwork

Same energy as the post about someone playing a cleric for the first time who tried using turn undead to turn into a skeleton

Iyagovos

Gentle reminder that multiple people have accused Sam Sykes of abuse https://www.reddit.com/r/Fantasy/comments/ktrvpj/what_did_sam_sykes_doaccused_of_doing/ Apologies for the Reddit link, I couldn't find a neutral source while searching with a foggy Covid brain

_bio_

Who is he??

Racist_Wakka

He posted the tweet in the OP's image

_bio_

No I just mean like what does he do that accusations of abuse are to be brought against him publicly like that means he's a popular or well known figure in some respect but I have no idea who he is

Racist_Wakka

Fantasy author

General_Passivity

It's a shame that's not explained to people in the 51-comment thread that that link goes to. Good luck!

_bio_

There's a reason I look at tweets on Reddit and not on Twitter

NomaTyx

What’s the joke?

Arthemax

The joke in the original post is imagining thatthe orangutan is DM for the otters and how that would play out, that's why they want to jump into the water and look for clams. The reply/comment at the bottom is from someone who only read the top part and found it relatable to DMing in general, and worthy of reblogging without the context of the picture.

PurpleTerrier

Played a wizard once and asked my DM if I could have Detect Clam. Never been more disappointed.

the_communist_owl

I only just realized that they are otters, I thought for the longest time that the little things were baby orangutan and the big one trying to organize the litter ones was just an analogy of being a DM. I just assumed the clam shit was usual player antics

Blamrica

I cast summon ketamine ape

o0i1

Banned.

IronicContrarian

Don’t orangutans rip apart small animals that get close to them?

Mala_Tea

You're thinking of chimps

shyinwonderland

Orangutans are pretty chill, unless you pose a threat to them. They are very intelligent.

MarcelRED147

Well read and know their way around the dewey decimal system too.

runespoon78

really reminds me of the falconhoof sketches in Limmy's show

moebiusmom

😂
