This was such a heated debated between Sawyer and I when we started crumbl. 😅
Are you team semi-sweet?? 🍪
I am! If I had my way, it would be Semi Sweet!
Can’t you alternate? Milk one week. Semisweet the next.
A dream cookie would be a semisweet chocolate chip cookie sandwich with the vanilla buttercream. Would you go into a sugar coma? Yes. Would it be delicious? Also yes.
Yes!!! At least alternate. #teamsemisweet
That sounds amazing!!!!
I really hope the ceo sees this and takes note, that’s the cookie of my dreams!
Sorry to Sawyer if you read this, Jason is my new crumbl bestie.
😂 Yes, bestie! if you met Sawyer in real life, you would probably make the switch. So let's make sure this never happens. Sawyer is the salt of the earth. Amazing guy. Love him.
I dunno... you saw someone on reddit say their broken fridge ruined their cookies, and instead of replacing the cookies you bought them a fridge. I think you're a pretty nice guy. 😊
Hey I'm gonna try your cookies instead of my usual insomnia cookies
There's no comparison between Crumbl and Insomnia. Insomnia bakes frozen dough balls. Crumbl makes every cookie from scratch and hand crafts the toppings.
Insomnia cookies are pretty decent *immediately*, but mine always get weirdly stale super quickly, while I’ve had Crumbls taste fantastic even a couple days later. Seriously no comparison!
I’ll alternate weekly on my fave that way neither of you is left out.
My man!!!! 🍪
Semi-sweet is the way to go! As it stands, the chocolate chip cookie base is quite sweet, and semi-sweet chips would give some needed contrast. I could see myself coming in for a 4 pack of semi sweet chocolate chip if the weekly offerings for whatever reason weren’t doing it for me.
Tell Sawyer Reddit says he's wrong. Team semi-sweet!
why not both? the combination of the two in a cookie is always great and would give you guys a fun story! (maybe diff texture too, keep the sweet chips and add semi-sweet chunks)
when I make my own this is how I do it, lol
I feel like something is missing from the chocolate chip cookie - like the dough is missing something important and it's bland. I noticed that vanilla is not listed in the ingredients and it is usually a key ingredient in every cookie I have ever made. Is there a reason for no vanilla? Also, the snickerdoodle is missing cream of tartar and that is important to the snickerdoodle. Otherwise it's just a sugar cookie with cinnamon and sugar. Just curious about this.
I agree! It tastes flat and bland— I feel like it needs vanilla and maybe even a touch more salt? There’s definitely something missing.
BRING BACK THE PINK COOKIE!!!!
Yes. The chocolate chip cookie is an abomination, and the pink cookie was a revelation.
Half and half is the way I make them at home. Milk and semi. The only way to go.
Here is a question! What if we added flaky salt to the top? What say ye? 🧂
It would certainly make it more interesting.
I still say just alternate weeks.
Honestly don’t hate the idea. Could be fun!
Try in on a trial basis and see what happens with sales. I’m only a year in, but is there a cookie with both milk and semisweet?
I thought they should alternate the pink sugar and chocolate chip rather than getting rid of it, but really semi-sweet is my soul.
Add salt and alternative chips every other week. Win win!
Hey Sawyer. The best chocolate chip cookies— as a baker myself— have milk, semi sweet, a decent amount of salt in the dough AND flakey sea salt on top.
Y’all have a great dough. But the flavor profile on that CC needs work.
I love the milk chocolate just the way it is. It’s consistently delicious.
I like the milk chocolate but I see why others don't like it. I would be alright with alternating between milk and semisweet every week.
Team semi sweet
Just do the toffee and Sea salt I would but that every week or buy 12 and freeze them 🤔 😅
This should be on the menu every week!
The existing chocolate chip cookie is so sweet, simple, and boring in my opinion, I have no idea how it is anyones favorite. It needs semi sweet chips and some salt for balance.
Switch on and off every other week
100% not to be dramatic but milk chocolate in a chocolate chip cookie is vile 😂 I can’t stand it, we need semi-sweet. When Crumbl first opened by me I was so excited until I realized it was milk chocolate chip cookies, I didn’t return for 6 months 😂
*It is important to note that I don't want to completely eliminate the milk chocolate.
Semi-sweet all the way. I filled my freezer last time they were on the menu and would do it again.
The semi-sweet was so good!
Yes. I believe the majority of people use semi sweet chips in their cookies. Crumbl needs to adapt
I’m obsessed with the milk chocolate one 😩
I love it too.
The same people say this over and over all the time.
I enjoy the milk chocolate.
Semi sweet. The milk chocolate chips are too sweet for me 😩
Milk chocolate >>>>
I have been begging for this!
Semi-sweet for me. I found their original recipe cookie blah tasting.
I like the milk. It’s something different.
i like the milk chocolate but semi-sweet is soooooo much better
How bout both? Get a good mix in there.
I’ve only had the semisweet once and it was amazing!!! I don’t like the milk chocolate. I understand it’s one of their signatures though. I do wish they’d have the semisweet more often. I’d order more chocolate chip cookies with the semisweet.
I hate semi sweet with a passion. I think rotating it weekly would be good tho.
Team semi-sweet!! Or just replace the milk chocolate chip with the m&ms cookie from the other week.
Milk chocolate 100%. Can’t stand semi-sweet. Would have LOVED this week’s Buckeye Brownie if it wasn’t for the semi-sweet topping. 😖
I was just saying this last night! I don’t like the milk chocolate personally. That’s why when I need a chocolate chip cookie I’m team nestle tollhouse. I’d love it crumbl had semi sweet chocolate chips in the cookies or brought another chocolate chip cookie change up in the rotation
Semisweet is definitely the superior option, milk was the "alright I guess" option when I wanted a 4th cookie for the box, gave up on that. Semi would prevent more "skip weeks" since there would always be at least 1 strong cookie, I'd probably even get a 4 pack of them if I didn't like the rotation in a given week.
Agree! Somehow I love chocolate chip cookies and think this one is the grossest Ive ever tasted. 0/10 never recommend to anyone
Jason & Sawyer, the answer is simple here—- use BOTH!
The best chocolate chip cookies- think homemade, bon appetit, Jaque Torres, have semisweet & milk chocolate with a decent amount of salt in the dough and flaked sea salt.
Also think y’all could do some brown butter in there to really perfect the base.
I honestly can’t really tell the difference. 😅
Semi sweet obvi but maybe it's a Mormon thing
Mormons can’t seem to get enough sweets. In Utah we have drive up soda stands like other states have coffee stands and the lines are always long.
Love the milk chocolate
Why not both? Why not chunks of semi-sweet, sweet and a tiiiny dash or dark chocolate?
You’re not alone. I agree. I think their choc chip cookie is probably the he worst I’ve ever had and I’m sad they keep it as a permanent cookie. Pink classic should have been the one to keep in rotation! That’s what got me hooked to Crumbl
I’m team milk chocolate all the way. Finally someone does it right.
I think the milk chocolate is ok, but traditionally the chocolate chip cookies I had were with semi sweet, so that’s what I look for. I would love to try a semi sweet one!
Idk my location kills the milk chocolate, it’s incredible
NOOOOOOOOOOO milk chocolate over semi EVERY day! A mix would be good, even a couple bits of white.
You are not. It is what deters me from purchasing the chocolate chip cookie. Too sweet.
