I found my side rearview mirror dangling off the car a few days ago. Nothing on the security cameras. Just a broken mirror. I'm guessing a small branch fell on it but no way it would've broken it. Meanwhile this mirror is able to rip off an entire leg and still hold, what?!

thank you for making me feel better - i backed out of my driveway and tore my side mirror off on my garbage can that i keep in my driveway, and then the garbage can was pushed and broke the water meter off of my house. It was like a real life rube Goldberg machine - I am a fucking idiot. Now my mirror is super glued back on and cant be adjusted by the electronic controls in the car smh.

I just wanted to add onto the side mirror chain. Had a truck knock my mirror off on the highway when it merged into me. I stuck it back together with duct tape and hope.

Leg got pinned between the bike and car at high speeds so it ripped right off then the fleshy bits spun around and got stuck in the door/window frame.

Most bikes lave leg guard to prevent these accidents either he removed it or it didnt have one.

They really don't. Some bikes have engine crashbars to protect the engine and some sports bikes will have crash bungs to protect the fairings. Some might come out far enough to offer some protection to the rider. But most do not.

In my part of the world(south asia) every bike has it literally never seen a bike without leg guards.
