Magnet-connected wrist rests like the Corsair K100 and K70 Pro are composed of parts that respond to magnets.
The K70 TKL does not come with a wrist rest. So if you want to connect with a magnet you have to make it yourself like I did.
If other manufacturers use magnets, the keyboard and wrist rest are sold together. Because magnets and iron plates are needed, so both wristrest and the keyboard must have proper connection points, and the magnet and iron must be configured to hold each other, and there is no such thing as a separately sold wrist rest. Of course, wristrest of the Steelseries is sold separately, but it cannot operate as a magnet with only wristrest. That a shame they don't make one that works nice and flush with the K70 tkl!
I do like your approach to a solution, though! Thanks for the share
