This is all a part of Babybay’s plan. Everyone thinks he’s headed to Valorant but they’re wrong. He’s going to take a few months and build his stream as a personality. Then he’ll start making some analysis videos, maybe jump on PlatChat as a guest a few times. Then Season 4 comes along and next thing you know he’s benching Sideshow and casting with Bren. And what can Sideshow do? Sure, Sideshow is a former pro player too but Babybay has years on him and a full head of hair. The only way I see this ending is with Babybay streaming a tournament of Worms Battlegrounds while eating an egg both literally and metaphorically.
Or he could be joining Valorant.
Zachareee played under them in the first tourney as a trial, the team did really well for a literal first showing. Got 4th, beat some big teams along the way.
Corey and this dude Marved were their carries, but zach was probably their next most consistent performer. So many are assuming he’ll be joining eventually.
Sinatraa, Corey, Zach and now Babybay - 4 OWL pros jumping ship for a "dead" game.
Be happy for them and move on guys. Professional OW is actually in a decent state right now.
Hey man, if you are seeing this... Your signed jersey is still on my kids wall above her gaming pc. Thanks for being cool in ATL.
We look forward to see what come next for you.
[Greatest Chad in the Overwatch League](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pl_xMahdBo)
She does too! She has recently made it to gold thanks to a ton of help from Spilo. It wont be long before she is better than me... already is better than me at widow duels.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Overwatch/comments/gwrs9u/proud_dad_moment_after_2_years_of_grinding_from/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x
To add to this... because of covid, I have gotten the little boys from her class's IGN. The ones that said she wasn't a real gamer at the lunch table... She dumpstered them and their older brothers.
I still get a chuckle out of it when i think about it.
ahhh spilo...cancer in ranked but somehow a nice guy outside of OW... Probably the few coaches who actually have separate personalities inside and outside the game.
I'm not even a Reign fanboy and it sucks to see him go.
The dude had raw talent, a huge personality, and was constantly lifting other players up. He was a cornerstone of the Atlanta Reign brand, a cult of personality, and the OG Ashe player in OWL. Probably one of the best known Western players too. Lets hope he succeeds, wherever he goes.
Man Babybay was basically the last like, adult western player left in OWL. I get that sounds insane on the surface, but Babybay knew when to turn off the persona and when he did he was one of the most thoughtful people in the league.
He loved being the center of attention and used that for good things. He loved interacting with the fans. He was a wonderful ambassador to the game.
But most importantly he was just so god damn wholesome. I'll never ever forget the story about the little girl that wanted a Babybay jersey, but they were sold out so he just gave her his.
Thats the kinda dude he was for the game. Almost literally the shirt off his back just to make a fans day brighter.
You will absolutely be missed and I hope your future career wherever you land is as fulfilling as I hope your Overwatch League career was.
That's generally because Ranked is a literal shit hole given how little coordination there is even at the highest ranks. Having played in Tespa it became apparent real quickly when your team in Ranked just literally isn't trying because they'd rather butt their entire head into a wall than change heroes to something that may help, or the opposite where they'd internalize a team problem as being "On them" when their role can't do anything.
Not an excuse for the toxicity, but Ranked is already frustrating so I can only imagine how much more frustrating it is when you are used too playing with 5 other people who actually coordinate regularly.
Babybay was 20 when he wrote [this.](https://i.imgur.com/PoxDGWX.png) He matured a lot in owl but yeah I wouldn't really consider him 'the last adult player'.
It sounds insane beneath the surface too lol. No offense but I'm not really sure what you mean... no other Western OWL players are as mature as Babybay? What?
SoOn? Seems like one of the most mature western players tbh. Dude is very calm and team focused. His Vlogs are really good and shows how hes often the glue in the team, a veteran player who keeps people from tilting ect.
I get his accent cant be hard to understand at times though.
I dont really think Babybay is the "only" mature western player at all. I only think that very few of them are mature. SoOn, Neptuno and Moth come to mind
Them being weebs isn't a "Not adult" thing at all. You can admire parts of other countries cultures without it being a direct negative. For instance I enjoy that South Korea is far more ingrained and accepting of tech, Japan's open hospitality even if they are xenophobic in some parts, some of India's perseverance to their culture, Russia's pragmatism, etc. The bigger issue is that many western players just aren't charismatic which is always a pain for esports players so you never get a good outlook on them from that.
Generally I'm morbidly curious how it would go for Esports to basically hire a PR team just meant to make the players act like how Sports professionals are.
EDIT: Downvoted for pointing out that learning to like other countries is a good thing. I'm pretty sure I'd be downvoted for pointing out that reading is a helpful life skill at that point.
He's not talking about that lmao. He's talking about the general negative associations about being a weeb. Like being antisocial, smelly, things like that. "Weeb" is no longer a word to describe weaboos or people who watch anime, it has changed drastically.
From childish memer who wouldn't understand responsibility if it slapped him in the face to all around wholesome dudebro that almost literally gave a fan the Jersey off his back to brighten their day.
Yeah that's an upgrade
Babybay is definitely more mature, and doesn't have mental illness, but Dafran had more highlights in his short time than Babybay did in his full run.
Can't deny the guy was absolutely out of this world when he had his shit together.
I hope he stays away though and finds happiness with the new stuff he's trying. Dealing with Bipolar disorder sucks shit and being famous and a public face is never going to go well with it.
Dafran was literally one of the biggest overwatch content creators ever. Nobody cares if he's irresponsible lol he was a legend in the community and atlanta getting him was the only reason they had a fanbase in the first place.
Babybay seems like a great person that adds a lot of spice to the league but come on man you're comparing him to fucking dafran
Problem is your saying this in BabyBay's thread and mixing it up with popularity.
There is no doubt Dafran was a huge sign and ofcourse a legend for Atlanta (jesus they even milked him 3 stages after his retirement even he said it's cringe that he's still in front page poster for Atlanta). He's a fan favorite and was the root of Atlanta's popularity.
However what is important here is how well you're representing your team. BabyBay did it in a great manner. Definitely the face of the team in terms of professionalism and that's a fact.
If you only want to factor in popularity then it's for sure Dafran. There's no doubt. BUT being face of the team is more than just that and for this season there is no better candidate than BabyBay.
Overal an Upgrade.
At least he went out with a bang, he popped off this season when people were saying he was another washed veteran. Good luck in Valorant and show those CS:GO kids who say OW players can't aim that there's a new king in town.
>show those CS:GO kids who say OW players can't aim that there's a new king in town
I mean that wouldn't show them much as he has a CS background. Yes, he did cheat but still.
I kinda wish the OW guys all teamed up together in Valorant. Sinatraa, Corey, BabyBay, Zombs & Zacharee could've been a decent 5, and imagine if Dafran actually stuck with Valorant/gaming and teamed with sinatraa, Corey etc. Should also note that HyP is doing decent over in EU with NiP.

Damn. Guess we knew it was coming, but still sucks to see the news.

bruh biased or not I am so sad to see so many of these players go to valorant. I have absolutely no enjoyment spectating that game- I know how good it’ll be for these players but boy it sucks for my enjoyment lol. Shit is boring imo.
Will miss babybay a lot
What they said is 100% accurate. I started off really not liking him. By the end? It legit brightened my day to see him on my screen whether it was his antics or his gameplay. Gonna miss this guy a ton
Definitely gonna be an unpopular opinion, but I wish he would have just done this in the off season. Atlanta is going to be an interesting watch the rest of the season.
I like how this video highlighted how he is a great ambassador for a team and esports in general. Obviously he has great mechanics, but to highlight what he brings to a team (and more importantly to an org) is a pretty damn good advertisement.
I hope he gets picked up in Valorant, I know I’ll watch his games.

The saddest part to me is we won't get to see Babybay & BenBest on the same team and in the same room together...Oh what could have been.
I'm going to miss his wholesome toxicity. The way he mentally boomed Bren in his stream before their 1v1. The way he dunked on shockwave and then asked him when shockwave was going to post his retirement tweet.
Sad times. :(
He's banned from csgo for cheating. And it wasn't in a pub as a kid, which is considered somewhat forgivable, he actually cheated during competitive matches.
I hope this man continues his career elsewhere. I’ve always loved BabyBay as a player and as a person, so I’d hate to see him stop here.
Plus he’s a NUTTY player, so he definitely has what it takes to keep his eSports career alive. Much love to BabyBay and I hope to see him succeed in the future.
Damnit Sideshow, see what you did?
i like to think that bbBay was joking but then got the idea from sideshow. dammit sideshow
Bruh loool.
This is all a part of Babybay’s plan. Everyone thinks he’s headed to Valorant but they’re wrong. He’s going to take a few months and build his stream as a personality. Now we wait for the FaZe Clan Valorant announcement.
Faze Clan Overwatch Valorant team.
It's a Valorant team, called "Overwatch". Faze Overwatch - a Valorant pro team.
Overwatch is now the best Valorant team
Wait how many OW players do FaZe have besides Corey?
Zachareee played under them in the first tourney as a trial, the team did really well for a literal first showing. Got 4th, beat some big teams along the way. Corey and this dude Marved were their carries, but zach was probably their next most consistent performer. So many are assuming he’ll be joining eventually.
Marved was a CS semi-pro player. Never really did anything of note in his career.
Yeah ik, I just didn’t wanna bother mentioning it tbh
right now they only have 2 players on their team, Corey and an ex-csgo pro (jasonr), but they had zacharee as a stand in
Jasonr cs pro pepelaugh
Wow they're gonna be stacked
Valorant is still alive?
Sinatraa, Corey, Zach and now Babybay - 4 OWL pros jumping ship for a "dead" game. Be happy for them and move on guys. Professional OW is actually in a decent state right now.
Hyp plays for NiP
lolwut

Wow what a cool item to have! Would love a signed jersey myself if I ever get that opportunity one day
I hope she grows up to play competitively! Need more gals in esports and gaming. Good on your for sharing that with her!
She does too! She has recently made it to gold thanks to a ton of help from Spilo. It wont be long before she is better than me... already is better than me at widow duels. https://www.reddit.com/r/Overwatch/comments/gwrs9u/proud_dad_moment_after_2_years_of_grinding_from/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x To add to this... because of covid, I have gotten the little boys from her class's IGN. she got coaching from Spilo? that's pretty cool. does she speak on voice chat?
Rarely and only if I’m there and feel it will be well received... when I’m not there she isn’t allowed in voice yet
wow you're a great parent
I placed gold and have dropped to bronze! Haha! I remember that post from awhile back. Love it!
You are an awesome parent. I am cheering for your daughter's success!
Hell yeah man
ahhh spilo...cancer in ranked but somehow a nice guy outside of OW... Probably the few coaches who actually have separate personalities inside and outside the game.
Man that’s so wholesome :’)
Toronto boomed him straight into retirement. On a realer note, FaZe Babybay has a ring to it, and the dude is CRACKED in Valorant.
I know which Valorant team i'm gonna be supporting now
It was already my #1 with Corey then they picked up Zach and Babybay its an easy choice.
Wait they got Zachareee?
I don't think he's a permanent player yet but he played some tourneys with them and performed very well, I'd be surprised if he didn't get picked up.
FaZe Babybay just sounds so right. Like he's always been a part of FaZe.
The king just got done fucking 😢
It’s finally 7:01 am🙁
no more 6 stackin 😭

No more 1000$ steak
We should say sorry and give daddy a kiss :(

Thanks!
It's funny this is the popular perception of him, whenever I queued into him in ranked games he was always instantly toxic and flaming supports.
As Fran always said, you don't get to T500 without getting flamed by Babybay at least once
I have zero empathy, it's incredibly childish to berate people for making mistakes or not coordinating
What?
Yes, the rest of them are weebs
And also can't give an interview to save their life. Watching some of the other western players in post game interviews is physically painful.
SoOn? Seems like one of the most mature western players tbh. Dude is very calm and team focused. His Vlogs are really good and shows how hes often the glue in the team, a veteran player who keeps people from tilting ect. I get his accent cant be hard to understand at times though.

Moth is Steve Harrington.
Poko comes to my mind

Ok weeb
The only other active Western player I can think of who would be consider older/more of an adult would be Surefour?
It's a joke, I hope.
so dogman is the only face of reign now?
Bruh what a downgrade
From dafran to babybay to fucking dogman LUL
Babybay from Dafran was an upgrade
That's a lie and you know it
From childish memer who wouldn't understand responsibility if it slapped him in the face to all around wholesome dudebro that almost literally gave a fan the Jersey off his back to brighten their day. Yeah that's an upgrade

I'm almost certain I remember him talking about it on stream in the past, but if anyone knows I'm wrong I hope they'd correct me.

IMO I'd rather have babybay as the face of a team I support than a dude known for dipping from teams at random times, even if he was more popular.
As a Fuel fan I take offense to this.
Problem is your saying this in BabyBay's thread and mixing it up with popularity. Dafrans toxic.
Ouch.
Would still take him over 90% of the league as face of the team. At least he has a personality.
I love Dogman tbh
You're the Babybay now, dog^(man)
Baby Dog
Pretty cool farewell video. I like that Andy Miller had stuff to say too. Edit: and Danteh and Space too!
I like how everyone mentioned how handsome he is lmao
we only got jjonak and space left from that staple jerseys ad :(
At least he went out with a bang, he popped off this season when people were saying he was another washed veteran. Good luck in Valorant and show those CS:GO kids who say OW players can't aim that there's a new king in town.
>show those CS:GO kids who say OW players can't aim that there's a new king in town I mean that wouldn't show them much as he has a CS background. Yes, he did cheat but still.
He was pro in this dead fps game called Crossfire for awhile. But his former Crossfire teammates are in Valorant’s Echo 8.
Zombs is awful
Overwatch or apex? Cause he was pretty mediocre at both. I haven't seen him play in Valorant so in that sense I have no idea
talking about Val. he’s been getting farmed in all the tournies i’ve seen
He's nothing special but he's definitely not awful, he's capable of playing at a pro level at the moment.
Is he going to cheat again LULW
7am already :/

Same, I don’t really see the appeal of Valorant. Still, I wish this guy the best in his future endeavors.
It 7 am 😔✊ just got done fuckin 😔✊ you kids are six stacking 😔✊
Gotta be honest, it's becoming really hard to stay a fan of a league that can't keep players
Gonna give daddy a smooch...one last time.......
I hope he keeps fucking in Valorant and wins the fans hearts like he did with us. Gonna miss him a lot, huge personality, amazing person
You hate to see it :/
Damn. Who could have seen this coming?
What they said is 100% accurate. I started off really not liking him. By the end? It legit brightened my day to see him on my screen whether it was his antics or his gameplay. Gonna miss this guy a ton
i'll be honest, i really never liked babybay but he was a staple to OWL and many fans liked him, so he will be missed!
He’s done fucking Sadge
Not unexpected but sad all the same. A big personality gone
Enjoy your retirement King
Definitely gonna be an unpopular opinion, but I wish he would have just done this in the off season. Atlanta is going to be an interesting watch the rest of the season.
I think the OW burnout is psychologically excruciating for pro players.
Damn I dont even like the reign and wish they were better just to see this dude stick around. Feelsbadman
Why can't these guys at least finish the season.
prob don’t want to miss opportunities for Valorant teams
I like how this video highlighted how he is a great ambassador for a team and esports in general. The hood lost a real one today...
Looks like we'll finally see some Edison + Erster.
Fuck me dude
ok :(
I'm crying in the club rn
The King's last, glorious, Overwatch fuck.
Fuck man, I thought we were done with retirements until off-season. babybay has been a huge part of a team every season, its a shame to see him go
Throwback to when Babybay designed [Brigitte](https://youtu.be/jvOvfF1Q3Qo)
goodbye king :(
Babybye
We lost a real one
No interview with Mykl pepehands. Hate him or love him but Mykl literally started his career.
Babybay said some time ago that the moment he knew he should go pro is when he popped offwoth mykl
Paper in my hands
T.T
Oh that’s problematic
I'm going to miss his wholesome toxicity. The way he mentally boomed Bren in his stream before their 1v1. The way he dunked on shockwave and then asked him when shockwave was going to post his retirement tweet. Sad times. :(
For real???? Rip dude.
Sideshow still owes him a smooch. He can't leave til then
Hey babybay when is the next music video coming out? xqxL
Rip
Say sike right now
big blow, he was one of the faces of the league
Damn :(
OWL's personality just went down by half lmao
Seriously....this one really hurts. OWL doesn’t really have much personality anymore
That's a sad day for the scene I think
Kia kaha Babybay all the best.
He did say on twitter it was his last
king shit the whole way through--honestly my goat love you babybay
Seems like owl players really loved last updates and changes. It’s super fun to play ow, but one one wants to
This maybe the best send off video I ever see. We even get to see his mom. He came a long way and I think he still has long way ahead. Good luck.
The OG mr Steal yo girl.
RIP OWL legend. Not really a Reign fan but this hurts, he was an amazing OWL figure with a lot of personality and charm.
He's truly done fucking.
Nooooo ):
babybay def suits Faze
First dafran and now babybay, the 2 iconic kings are now gone 😔
No :(
Good luck babybay I’m gonna miss u u were insane
Although everyone knew this was coming... it hurts. Shame, damn shame. Always liked the guy, will definitely miss him in the League
i wonder what game he is going to play next? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Valorant time ggez
Just got done fucking 🙏🏼
Remember kids, cheating does pay in overwatch.
Yeah fuck this guy for * checks notes * reforming himself, I guess.
What did he do?
He's banned from csgo for cheating. And it wasn't in a pub as a kid, which is considered somewhat forgivable, he actually cheated during competitive matches.
What kind of cheats?
Ya I don't get the love for this guy
You’re an idiot
T_T
Well....with babybay gone the number of OWL players who ain't overfed or underfed weebs can now be counted on one hand lol
Who?
o7
:(
6 stack for babybay
Long live the king!!
Imagine leaving for an already dead CS:GO clone
Guys in this league like suck for two weeks and then just decide to quit, LMAO.
its 7am i just got done fucking FeelsStrongMan
I hope this man continues his career elsewhere. I’ve always loved BabyBay as a player and as a person, so I’d hate to see him stop here. Plus he’s a NUTTY player, so he definitely has what it takes to keep his eSports career alive. Much love to BabyBay and I hope to see him succeed in the future.
For some reason I thought he was already retired.
YAY
