Last time i went they had a 2 drink minimum and agree with you on the food. Its overpriced and underwhelming. Luckily theres great food right next door to it
Theater style seating, with tables. They have food. Different feel than the basement style seating of Zanies downtown. Both are great, just different. I have always had a great time at the improv.
So I've never been there as a customer but I actually worked there. Just look into all the info on the site (or call/email) before you go, the main policy that sticks out is the two-item minimum (must order two drinks/two foods, or one of each, etc).
It's a comedy club, but it's technically a chain and it's part of the mall, so it's not a crazy environment or anything. It's really chill for the most part with table style seating. Food is focused on being something casual to eat during the show, the dinner is probably not worth it (though quality depends on how hectic the kitchen is). I'd suggest to order two items to meet the minimum and get dinner or dessert at a nearby place.
Enterrium is a restaurant/ arcade in wood field
Sculpture park is a nice place to walk around or have a picnic at
Mastermind escape room
Someone already mentioned top golf
How can this be 5 hours old and no one said [Medieval Times](https://www.medievaltimes.com/)? This is fun for a date because you can still interact but there is something to do.
Paul Douglas Woods has an amazing and new mountain bike trail. It is good for casual rides.
Always check here for trail status: https://www.cambr.org/paul\_douglas.php
\- Busse Woods is super nice for walks. Just gets a little annoying sometimes since the paths are narrow and some of the bike riders think they're Lance Armstrong. Still a nice way to spend the day though.
\- Arboretum in South Barrington is really close by and there is a ton to do there. We always liked the happy hours at Pinstripes and Wok n Fire.
\- Boomers games
\- Streets of Woodfield / ~~Gameworks~~ Edit - Oops, didn't realize Gameworks closed down.
\- There aren't any breweries in Schaumburg that I remember, but you're close to Wolfden and Polyanna. I think those are two of the better ones in the burbs.
\- Maybe a little out of the way depending where in Schaumburg you are, but the downtown areas in Barrington, Palatine, and Arlington Heights should be close by. Passero in AH was one of the best restaurants we've been to recently.
\- Topgolf gets a little expensive but it's a lot of fun.
Nothing in Schaumburg stands out to me as being an extroverted activity, so I think anything you find will be good! The AMC at Streets of Woodfield is good (I can't say it's the best because I haven't been in a long time) if you want to catch a movie. I'm personally not into the stores there, but it's nice to walk around in and escape the stripmall suburb environment.
I'm an introvert and when I lived in Schaumburg I used to just... go to IKEA for fun haha.
Okay haha. IKEA’s cool. So where do you live now? I do want to get out of this state lol.. since there’s nothing to do and the city overwhelms me with all the buildings.. I don’t know but I get anxious unless visiting in the summer. But there really isn’t much around here
Ah, well I'm in the city now. Technically not a permanent residence because I live in my college's housing, but I'll be in the city after that anyways.
Mastermind Escape Room was a blast, I've been twice (pre-covid).
Escape rooms are a fun test of how a person reacts under pressure. Probably not good for a first date though.
Texas de Brazil is fabulous. Top Golf is fun but can be pricey. We always have fun at Enterrium, formally Pac Man restaurant, formerly Level 52. Bonchon is solid Korean bbq.
Woodfield has a comedy club
Thanks for the suggestion. I saw online but never been
How is it? I’ve always wanted to go
The food is awful, but the layout/drinks/acts are always great. I'd recommend eating before going and just enjoy a few drinks and the show.

It's good and fun!
Does it require reservations?
Yes, you need to purchase tickets in advance. You can sometimes get them at the door, but it depends on the popularity of the comedian.
Thank you. I am in the early stages of dating someone who lives around there. If it progresses, it will be a good date idea.
This date idea might be fun: attend the comedy show, then dessert over at the Cheesecake Factory, yum!

my girlfriend works there and she approves this message
Does she like working there? Does she get a discount? What does she do?
she loooooves it. free tickets, really healthy work environment, flexible hours, friendly coworkers
That’s so awesome to hear! Thank you
Go to ikea, have some meatballs, gauge their taste in furniture, pretend you live there, it’s a good cheap first date
🤣 Reminds me of 500 days of summer
That's where I got it from!

Gameworks closed down?!
Thanks for the suggestions!
what are you into?
I’m mostly an introvert.. into movies, music and art but wanted to do something fun

The hours might not be the most suitable for a date, but the Trickster Gallery could be up your alley.

kuma's corner
Medieval times!
Big Bowl is good eating, and the AMC is a two minute walk
390 Golf Experience is good. Cheaper than Top Golf and just as nice.
Top golf (especially in the colder months in my opinion). If it's not your thing there's ; Enterrium (bowling, arcade, food)
Texas de Brazil is fabulous. Top Golf is fun but can be pricey. We always have fun at Enterrium, formally Pac Man restaurant, formerly Level 52. Bonchon is solid Korean bbq.
I might try enterrium now since so many suggested it
It's a fun spot...bunch of games to play, not horribly overpriced. Also has a bar and bowling alley
There's a nice swingers club in the area. Great music and solid buffet.
