###Update: While you're here, we have a [public discord server now](https://discord.gg/NuefU36EC2) — We also have a free ChatGPT bot on the server for everyone to use! Yes, the actual ChatGPT, not text-davinci or other models.

I'd like to know as well. I've been waiting for over 4 days now thinking I'll be selected. Are only a few countries being selected?
I checked online and most of the people are either from the US/UK/Japan.
They should provide a counter for this thing. My excitement is slowly dying with this wait.
Did everything they suggested and additionally even installed edge dev version!
If you check the “Discover” sidebar on Edge Dev it shows a top 4 for countries that visit Bing.com, which are:
US 25%
Japan 10%
China 8%
United Kingdom 6%
So it makes sense that those people would get in the most, there’s just more of them.
Ok, but what about the odds of a person getting in that doesn't belong to the countries listed? Like do I have an equal chance as anyone else or will they favor those countries?
I would assume equal if you aren’t from China/Russia/Iran but to be honest I’m not sure. I’m from Canada and I’ve been waiting since last Wednesday, pisses me off.
I am losing it. I am this close to asking a relative in the US to make an account for me over there and send me the details once it gets access. They hyped it so much, and I joined within a few hours of the announcement. I did everything they said yet I can't get in. And then there's some casual user who created it for fun on twitter and got in within 24-36hrs. :(
I heard some dude with a VPN got in, but honestly there’s at least over 3 million on the wait list now, I’d just wait with your original entry. No harm in trying tho.
VPN means current location would be one of the preferred countries. What about the account itself? I guess they'd check if your ms account was registered from the US too? If that's the case then there's no way around it. I tried creating another ms account but it looks like microsoft needs you to verify the account with a phone number (ridiculous in my opinion) which is not possible if you don't have a phone number from the US that works in your residential country.
I know about the temporary phone numbers. But the free ones don't work. Microsoft or Google for that matter recognises that I'm using a disposable number and doesn't allow me to proceed.
I haven't tried the paid ones, and honestly paid ones are not worth it. I'd rather wait.
Maybe not. I would assume they would try to dispatch as well to train it on different cities but could be wrong... it would benefit them to be able to have more accurate search in main touristic cities at least...
HAHAHA too many... ! I actually would use it in many different scenarios.
You can ask it how far is Switzerland in the list of countries that will have access to it ;)
Or what to really do to have access sooner xD
If you plan to travel to Geneva Switzerland in the next 12 month & want to meet nice people, you have a free room to stay ;) Thatʼs the first thing I think to give back to your nice gesture :) *(because we need more of those)*
Because you are a human...

But thanks man, really nice of you! If Iʼm really stuck somewhere Iʼll remember :) We could try some heavy stuff for chatGPT about calculation I asked and didnʼt get a solution but I have a feeling it will not perform well as this has nothing to do with search on the web... Need to give a clean prompt to avoid ping-pong however... This is usually the issue. Soon as I have some time Iʼll get to that one. :)
Yeah sure, thanks for doing this. I have used you(dot)com as an alternative but so far I've been disappointed with the results it gave me especially if the information I ask has dates mentioned in them.
For example, I ask it to summarize an article, and it leaves out a ton of information and just gives basic details about it. While doing so, it ALWAYS gets the dates incorrect too.
Can you ask bing to summarize any article of your choice and see if it does it right? And ask if it can summarize articles in bullet points if possible so that it does not leave out any information yet at the same time give a proper summary. Check if it also gets the dates correct.
If you want my suggestion, you can ask about how the animal shelters are trying to help out the people in the recent earthquake hit turkey/syria regions. I've seen lots of articles about people receiving help, but I've no idea about the animal shelters trying to help out the poor animals.

* The article is about the animal rescue efforts by Haytap, a Turkish animal rights group, after the 7.3 magnitude earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on February 6, 2023.
* Haytap has sent teams of veterinarians and volunteers to the affected areas, where they have treated hundreds of injured and traumatized animals, including dogs, cats, birds, and even a sheep.
* Haytap has also set up temporary shelters and feeding stations for the animals, and has distributed food and blankets to the local residents who are staying with their pets in tents.
* Haytap has faced challenges such as lack of resources, cold weather, and aftershocks, but has received support from other animal welfare organizations and donors from around the world.
* Haytap has appealed for more help and donations to continue its work, and has urged the government to include animals in its disaster response plans.
Woah. It seems incredibly efficient in grabbing the points from articles compared to you(dot)com.
Did you check if it skipped over anything from the articles it referenced?

Yeah I’d make a whole new account to be safe, there’s apps and websites out there that let you use a temporary number for that kind of verification.

As a french person, I'm screwed.

Yes. Most definitely. And they want to release the chatbot soon, that would make sense.

I’m just wondering what day and time you signed up on for the wait list? And did you do any of the extras?
I sigh up the day after the event. My email saying I signed up on 8th at 14:24 pm and got access to it yesterday at 1:14 am
