I like it
Since the ACR stock has been officially discontinued by MAGPUL I decided to buy one of the few remaining one for a future AK build. Using the SAG Mk3 Slim as the concept and their ACR adapter as a base I attempted to recreate their style. It been 3 years since they showcased the adapter and with no news or update, I decided to take it into my own hand to make one though it would be cool if they sold it even though it's such a niche item.
I think kinetic dev group was making one? Might be for scar only though.
They do but when I checked they were out, Haga Defense still have some I think. I just bought mine from the website Haga gave in their ACR info.
My only advice is give that thing a full tang. The big failing point of stock adapters for AK's is snapping off at the attachment point. I would honestly just put a rough stock shape like new furniture and just drill for the specific rifle. Virgin furniture comes without holes which is why it's rock solid when installed.
I might not make it fold and just shape it and screw it down so it can be more durable im also gonna print it in nylon so it will have better structure than PLA. I just need to actually get an AK so I can have something to work with and mold the adapter to.
Like I said, full tang. Even the full metal construction adapters for AR tubes snap because they don't add enough material. There is quite a bit of leverage working against it.
