If he said he aspires to be the greatest of his era he wouldn't be called delusional. I look forward to how he looks at 140 with an actual live opponent after Campa

vHezoTheGoat

George Kambosos said he would be down to fight Teo at 140, I wonder if Teo would take it. Redeeming that loss would help cover that stain of his career

raf_diaz

george kambosos says a lot of things; i highly doubt that kambosos' handlers let him move up to 140 to face teo - especially if teo doesn't have a belt or two around his waist. that said, IF kambosos does meet teo at 140 he's likely to get thrashed up there BUT i'll give kambosos all the credit in the world regardless of outcome for having the balls to face teo at 140.

vHezoTheGoat

I see what you mean, but what would his handlers be protecting at that point? If George loses to Devin again (which is 95% likely) what reputation will he have left? He’ll be known for a great upset and then getting trashed in the 2 fights after that. He won’t have much rep to protect and he’ll be lost in the shuffle at 135.

raf_diaz

mainly the opportunities at 135 tbh - if kambosos goes up to 140 he'll be tiny by comparison to the rest of the guys in that division (especially the top rank super lightweights). he's more likely to be competitive and earn more at 135 against loma (if he comes back - hopefully), stevenson, etc. kambosos will definitely lose to haney. but there are more bounce back fights (gio cabrera, berchelt, gabe flores, etc.) to be had at 135 before he's fed to the lions (loma & shakur)

DengusMcFlengus

I'm guessing Kambosos feels like he knows how to work Lopez mentally but I dunno I feel like Lopez was actually just broken mentally leading in to that last fight regardless of kambosos. Anyway now I'm just thinking back to Kambosos' attempts to piss off Haney by calling him an informant lol

raf_diaz

yeah kambosos' attempts to get under haney's skin were humorous more than anything else tbh

thefunkypurepecha

You never know, would be a good money fight in brooklyn, but its dangerous, Teo almost had him out of there in I think the 10th? If i remember right.

raf_diaz

yeah kambosos was almost out of there in the 10th, teo just ran out of gas in 11th & 12th

amart408

Doubt it happens, but not impossible. Kambosos is already a small 135er. He looks like he can fight at 126-130.

emoskater1

TEO AND TEO SR ON SATURDAY NIGHT: THIS FIGHT WAS RIGGED WE SHOULD OF NEVER BEEN AT 140 HES MOVING UP TO HEAVYWEIGHT

[deleted]

The Hood knows DAZN rigged them judges

Wh0k3be

Completely delusional.

HenryXa

Nothing wrong with believing in yourself, but if you can't understand and reflect on where you came up short and your own weaknesses, you will never be a great as you could have been. If you still believe you won against GK, and don't understand what you did wrong, you will never live up to your potential.

rprogta2

He’s delusional!

raf_diaz

no he's not. you've got use context and comprehension to decipher his quote - while he may be wrong / prematurely crowning himself he's not too far off. when he's right mentally and physically it's hard to argue there's a better fighter in boxing under 25. bam, boots & haney and the only 3 that have a real case to make for themselves - and teo's fans can argue that he's got a better resume than all 3 of those guys.

rprogta2

Hey he said I could call him delusional!

raf_diaz

lol

retrograderevolution

“When”. Yeah, when?

raf_diaz

WHEN he beat magdaleno, tatli, nakatani, commey, and loma...

retrograderevolution

Lol. Let me know when the Takeover happens

vHezoTheGoat

If his era is the fighters who came to prominence relatively recently it’s not far fetched, though we’re still in the middle of said era and the greatest fights to be made still haven’t took place.

Aintnowaayy

I mean, he’s called The Loma Slayer for a reason
