For OTT releases they have separate function. And I liked Kareena in Laal Singh Chaddha, She performed like a Mature Artist

Flop films can also have good performances mate. Not necessary that money minting film should have good performances. Tamasha was a flop, but RK was nominated for it in 2015-2016.

A flop film can also have a popular performance. Also last 2 years I think the nominations were mixed due to many movies having released on OTT.

I think the performance was nomination worthy, but critics nomination as it was not popular among general audiences. Critics seemed to have loved it.

Exactly! A film is flop because it isn't popular and wasn't accepted by the audience itself. Even if one likes someone's performance in a flop film, they should nominate them in the critics category. Awards these days are a joke but Filmfare is just being shamelessly biased at this point.

That's what I am saying. How is it fair tho, why aren't other flop film actors nominated then? Filmfare literally replaced the title 'Popular Male Actor' with 'Actor in a Leading Role' coz they received backlash last year for giving the popular award to Ranveer Singh even tho 83 was a flop

The problem is that a flop film can't be popular. If they liked Ranveer's performance, he should've been nominated and awarded the critics category
