So I says to the tornado, “seriously!?” It completely ignored me and just went through what was clearly my personal space. I just took the higher path and brushed it off, not worth fighting.
You forgot about growing and raising food for the coastal elites to eat while they babble incessantly about the importance of their lives and about how unrefined Midwesterners are.
Over 1/3 of the vegetables and 2/3 of the fruit and nuts in this country come from CA but keep thinking whatever you want. Not unrefined but ignorant isn’t out of the question.
Smack dab middle of Oklahoma concurs! There's times for lawn chairs and beer and times for get yourself safe as you can! Idiots! We're fucking weaned on satellite images of storms and what to watch for regardless of the constant news coverage of possible tornadic storms! Fucking idiots!
We’ve found each other friends :) For me I’m at the top of an incline field looking over a rural area, (with German cottage type structures dotting the landscape) as they start to form and the wind picks up…I turn to run and they begin forming much closer to me, all around and the chase is on!
Yeah, they just start dropping like it’s the day after tomorrow. I’m half in awe of tornadoes and half terrified. Idk why I watch these tornado videos right before I sleep, but there’s just something about them. I’m always looking up to the sky. Anyway, maybe we can all link up in our nightmares and take on Mother Nature as a team. Haha.
That quote isn’t the best usage of the word. “Ope” is actually short for “oops”. Personally, I consider to have “ope” be spelled as “oop”.
I could see the tornado saying what you said if it’s trying to passive aggressively budge pass someone though. lol
Kansan here, the worst part about tornadoes is that the sound is not what you expect. Like you’re sitting in your basement waiting for the warning sirens to go off, nothing really sounds off, then you go back up and half your neighborhood is destroyed. Very strange.
Been in 3 tornados, apparently they happen in Ontario Canada way more than you'd ever expect. Two in Ottawa and one in Sarnia.
It's pretty terrifying actually.
I witnessed one in New Brunswick about 15 years ago. I'm sure it was nothing compared to Kansas, but still wild to watch form and tear through our family's property
See, in my case I heard rumbling, accompanied by the sound of the wind screeching through the seals of the closed windows throughout the house. And the torrential rain/hail that would slap the house in big whooshing waves that got more frequent until the tornado was exiting my location, and they would drop in frequency the further away it got.
Omg my dad used to do that, drive my mom crazy. Once we went to a fireworks show at a high school football stadium and a piece of shrapnel went into the stack of fireworks.
Eighty of them went off on the ground all at once. Mom, my brother, myself and lots of other people ran like mad to get away from it. My dad just stood there and watched. All he said was, “It was very pretty.”
My mom was really mad and said, “Oh you would just stand there and watch Armageddon wouldn’t you..” 🙄
“It was very pretty.” lmaoo
last summer there was a tornado warning and my dad was just standing outside like 🙂🌪. Must be a requirement for fathers to stare at dangerous things for entertainment

Ah yes. The Midwest. I’ll never forget the day I looked out my window and saw a tornado touch down in my yard. Little 8 year old me thought I was a goner lol.
Ya know when you see shit like this, it makes you realize why so many folk back in the day, had crazy religious beliefs. If I saw that 2000 years ago, without knowing wtf it was, I'd be freaking the fuck out thinking it was the wrath of a god.
If you have to pan the camera to capture the whole tornado then you are too close
Nah. The tornado is too close. The tornado will move for me.
Geez, what's he never heard of social distancing or something?
*He's doin that dumbshit no budge bullshit.*
So I says to the tornado, “seriously!?” It completely ignored me and just went through what was clearly my personal space. I just took the higher path and brushed it off, not worth fighting.
Your sentence structure is “dumbshit”
It's not my fault you cant read.
Yes it is.
Aren't you just sad. Go back to school.
Oof, sick burn dude
Pedestrians *DO* have the right of way…
Junji ito
But I appreciate the footage
I always get pissed off at people cutting the video early! But In this case I can understand why they did!
RUN BI*CH RUUUUUUUUUUUN
the double take. the triple take. "huh that's kind cool OH FUCK"
Ikr, hell i panicked when i realized what i just saw LOL.
Fucking midwesterners, my people are insane.
I mean ....what else is there to do in the Midwest?
Drink, storm watch, and go to church. I think in that order.
Also foot ball 🏈
Guns too! 🔫

Oklahomans do nothing but smoke meth and drill for oil and cause earthquakes.
All this. And I don’t even live in the Midwest.
TIL California is in the Midwest
It's in Pennsylvania too.
Lol had to zoom in because I thought that was a really shitty outline of the US.
How could I forget?!
As one, I’m honestly like, “you coulda held that shot longer, ya puss.”
Being from the panhandle of Oklahoma, I feel I’m qualified to say that filming something like this is not really very intelligent at all.
Yeah this person, while filming something cool, is quite dumb.

Probably not raised in tornado alley, otherwise he’d know.
I sit on the roof and watch the cows fly like it's wizard of Oz.
Tornadon't
Exactly how it happens in my nightmares
Yeah except times it by 5 or 10. You're lucky if you just get 1 tornado.
I always wondered if anyone else had this. Or trying to outrun them in an open field with a group of strangers. It’s always so real and intense.
Interesting indeed. Thoight it was only me lol

Tornado: “Pardon me. Just gotta reach over here for a second.”
Tornados are typically in the Midwest so it's probably more like "Ope, let me just grab that real quick."
*Excuse me, is this the missing cow that you were looking for? Here, take her!*

Damn! I did not know they happened that far north. Thanks for the knowledge!
Yeah, not a often definitely but they happen https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edmonton_tornado

*Quick, grab all the spray foam from the shed! We're going to plug up this hole!*
Beautifully terrifying
Going to need a change of drawers after that

Run motha fucka! (Samuel L. Jackson voice)
Running, motherf*cker. Do you do it?
I hope they were standing in the scaredy-hole and just had to duck and shut the cover!
'Fraidy hole is the correct term. Source: I'm Oklahoman and old as fuck.
Indeed, it is!
Thanks for the clarification, we moved from Kansas when I was 7 and I am also old as Fuck so that's what I remembered.
🤔 Could be a regional variation even though Kansas and Oklahoma are neighbors.
Ah yes. The Midwest. I’ll never forget the day I looked out my window and saw a tornado touch down in my yard. Little 8 year old me thought I was a goner lol.
That went from being over there to being over here real quick

This is a recording of a tornado forming so...second hand witness.

That’s fucking wilddd
Woah
This is the end of a tornado — in reverse.
Um dude…
Where should you be? Not the fuck there!
Terrifying. I was okay until I saw the dirt levitating and stretching to meet the tornado.
Right? What's up with that?
I'm amazed.
This isn't actually "First Hand"
He dead.
"ZEEEEEUUUUUUSSSSSS.." that's the only thing that came to mind.
Where’s he going to run to inside that trailer just keep filming
Oh hell no. I’ve played this game before.
This is wicked close. Do you know the source? You should post/cross post this to r/tornado
Why does the title of this post make it sound like OP is creating the tornado and issuing a final warning
Moments before disaster struck
This second hand, but still cool
When the ground raises up…that’s your que to GTFO!
I love the increasing panic
Ya know when you see shit like this, it makes you realize why so many folk back in the day, had crazy religious beliefs. If I saw that 2000 years ago, without knowing wtf it was, I'd be freaking the fuck out thinking it was the wrath of a god.
That’s very cool.
“Eh I got a minute or two… Eh… maybe a minute..? Wait, no, THAT’S JIMBOB’S YARD SHIT-“
This might be what Chinese dragon originated from.
Secondhand?
i feel like i could stop it
It was that moment that v4vanky realized he fucked up.
My brother in Christ, get the fk out of there!
Uzumaki
Why is it soo long?!?!
the sky is very tall
HOLY SHIT!!
I’m not sure you know what first hand means
That was a terrifying video. My heart actually raced a bit just watching this.
That’s a boss fight.
I believe this is second hand 😂
aw the video ended when he shit his pants. I don't blame him tho
Im pretty much sure this is the part where you run
The mindflayer?
If watching a video means I've witnessed what I watched first hand... Then I was in 'nam even though I was born in the 80s?
Maybe run 🏃
Not only does OP not know what firsthand means, the recorder is about to find out what it’s like to be killed in a tornado firsthand
Neat
This was almost VERY dangerous
“Let’s see how close I can get”🤡
It’s in reverse. But still wild.
How can you tell?
