She's really freaking fast!

Nothing like a tab and a red rocks show!
I can’t start a tab unless you order something.
Just give me a Pepsi free.
You want a Pepsi, you’re gonna pay for it.
Look, just gimmie something without any sugar in it, alright?
Why doesnt this exist
It's easy to start a sub.
Be the change you want to see in the world.
PS - I'll be a mod if you actually create the sub.
Just put it on my tab
Never put Pepsi on a tab it ruins it, now it’s Pepsi flavored paper.
Tab me it’s my birthday
Best venue ever
I’ve had this debate. There’s 2. I call them sister venues. The other being the Gorge in George. It’s so close, it’s not worth putting one over the other.
The Gorge In Washington? I live here but have never been.
Yes. It’s pretty spectacular. I’ve seen 60+ at RR, and only 5 at the Gorge. Access and night time view I would give the edge to Red Rocks. Day time view, I would say the Gorge is better. Post show atmosphere, I think the Gorge is better, but RR is slightly more intimate, so in show atmosphere goes to RR. With that said, it’s really nitpicking both. They’re both absolutely bucket list venues.
Been to both red rocks and the gorge. Love them both. But I think a lot of places have their own appeal. Shoreline amphitheater I love too but more for nostalgia. One in Chula Vista is nice too although I don’t remember the name of it. Even though it was probably named something different back when I went there. Hollywood bowl is an experience. Greek theater had some great shows. (I am referring to the one in Berkeley ca and not the other one, although I am sure it’s nice. But never been).
Indoor venues I don’t really know. I haven’t had too many memorable places I have seen, a couple exceptions. Paramount theater in Seattle is great. Crest theater in Sacramento is nice too. Hoyt Sherman in Des Moines was a pleasant surprise as well.
So, just kind of depends on what you are into. I prefer outdoor venues for a lasting impression, but there are some gems out there that are vastly overlooked. If I won lottery, this is how I would spend a lot of time. Checking out shows across the US and beyond to check out the places and what they can offer.
[Here's a quick write-up for the Gorge](https://www.tripsavvy.com/the-gorge-amphitheatre-2964791) -- doesn't really do the view justice, but you get the idea.
The Gorge is seriously amazing. Such a next level place to have an event
I live near the Gorge. Awesome place.
The Beatles never played the Gorge
Fun fact. The Beatles didn’t even sell out Red Rocks when they played.
Figures. This place was pretty much western Kansas in 1964
Not taking anything away from Red Rocks, but I’ve been to both and The Gorge is better. Mind blowing place
I was going to say, that’s not the most amazing thing I’ve seen at red rocks before but then again the most amazing thing I’ve seen there might just be because of the acid….
It’s on my bucket list.
It's as awsome as everyone says it is.
My last TAB show was red rocks 2019… my 18-20th shows can’t wait to see them again (when the border with Canada opens again)
It's not her speed that impresses me. It's the fucking coordination. I'd be 5 steps down and next thing I'd be blowing my powdered teeth out of my mouth like vape smoke.
I think she picked the perfect diagonal on purpose, so the depth of the seats matches her stride, pretty smart.
definitely not her first rodeo
Its the fucking CONFIDENCE
That’s quite the mental image.
Your comment physically hurt me more than the feeling of my ankles rolling while watching her
I fell twice just watching the gif.
Well it's just falling in steps...
Falling with _extra_ steps
That’s falling *with style*!
I know, I couldn't stop stairing.
"I can't stop running! Aaaah!"
She ran those steps just like I snowboard, fast & just barely in control.
Same but skiing, my strat for black diamonds is to just go fast enough that the bumps don’t matter.
Ha ha 😂
This is Reddit, I don't think a lot of people here run
I run rocket league on my pc
I run out of Doritos every Saturday night.
120 fps? Keep up bro.
me too weed, me too
Totally agree with this
Running downhill is not necessarily easier. It is easy for a runner to injure themselves going downhill.
Run down a hill then run back up it. Which one is harder?
They are hard in different ways.
what people mean by hard when talking about running only applies to one though.
It was then she found out there was no bathroom below.
The funny thing is that she ran almost exactly to one of the bathroom paths.
This may be obscure but do you remember when Joe Paterno ran out of the stadium because he had to take a crap? I've never seen a man in his 80's run so fast.
What I was going to say!
She’s on the wrong side, bathrooms are on the right.
They're on both sides. Further down the stairs on the side she ran to
Huh never even seen the ones down there, are they open during shows?
Yes. Immediately to the left of the stage
Well hot damn, many shows I’ve been to where I wish I knew that!
Plot twist, she was going the whole time, she just wanted to spread it out far enough that no one notices.
Ivectermin will do that to you.
I rolled my ankles and knees watching this.
I broke my leg again!
One misstep and she’s in for a rough time.
Risk/reward trade off here seems poorly balanced.
I used to go hard on my knees downhill. Trust me. Shell feel it when she gets older
What? They let you hangout at red rocks!?
It’s a park/tourist destination that’s open to the public when there aren’t performances - stage and all. The trails there provide some great views. They also host yoga pretty regularly. It’s a sight to see. It’s really neat.
[They show movies too! ](https://www.redrocksonline.com/film/)
Saw Princess Bride this summer there with 9000 of my closest friends.
hope you liked hearing each line a half second early!
Saw The Big Lebowski there. Half of the dudes were dressed up like The Dude, drink specials for White Russians, applause for character introductions, people quoting along with the movie, joints being passed around freely. Would highly recommend.
Went to a similar event at the Boulder Theater for the same movie but it lacked a certain je na sais quoi, would not recommend.
Yeah man you can just go walk around it when there isn’t a concert happening.
You should see the mobs running the stairs early every morning.
I saw another video last week where they had all the rookies from the Denver Nuggets out there running stairs.
Yeah man all the major sports team's athletes will do morning workouts at Red Rocks throughout the summer.
By far one of the best places to get a free workout and have a great view at the same time.
Yeah it’s open daily. Tons of sightseers and exercise and yoga.
Bruh, try going on a Saturday morning... it's literally a [SHOULD TO SHOULDER yoga session](http://media.stubhubstatic.com/stubhub-catalog/d_defaultLogo.jpg/q_auto:low,f_auto,w_1600,c_limit/performer/1509563/dalg91nmmtg8dr5ekpce). You couldn't squeeze even another water bottle into that venue. I call the state Crowdorado now and moved out last year.
I used to go here on my lunch break to get some exercise. As long as there isn't a show happening in the next couple of hours, it's open to the public.
when the headliner is about to start their set and you need to get back from the bathroom in time
Red Rocks. ✌
Haven't been there in years. . . .
:0 i’ve been there thats red rock amphitheater outside denver right?
Yep. Best place to see a show!
The gorge amphitheater would like a word
The name of the award for Best Outdoor Amphitheater is “The Red Rocks Award”. The Gorge Amphitheater has won this award. But the Red Rocks won it *so many times* that they retired the place from running, and renamed the award. Sorry bud, but Red Rocks is provably better. (Don’t get mad at me, I’ll gladly go to ANY show at either venue and have a great time, but Red Rocks is #1.)
See, that statement would’ve been true maybe 5 years ago, but they drastically reduced the bass and noise levels after Bassnectar went off and that nearby town started complaining.
You don’t know what you’re talking about, parroting that 5 year old complaint lol. They did not lower the decibel level at all, just the use of certain frequencies for a prolonged time. And literally millions of people have visited since, and thousands of EDM/Bass/Techno artists have played there since then, WITHOUT ONCE BREAKING THAT LIMIT! And you know what? To everyone who was there, it sounded as perfect as usual because it was still just as loud! Sorry, not sorry, Red Rocks is the best.
Lmao you’re the one who clearly has no idea what they’re talking about. I’m not “parroting” anything. These are valid complaints. Why do you think that there are so many petitions asking to raise the limit? The red rocks venue literally posted to Twitter saying that people should start bringing in wired headphones in order to listen to the music. Sorry buddy, but with its size, acoustics, and also Bass Canyon, Gorge beats Red Rocks
Did you even read the article you posted? You’re wrong, dude. From WestWord, and a lot of other sources including Red Rocks themselves (such as an Instagram post dated June 29, 2021):
“In an attempt to control the test and not interfere with the venue’s bandwidth, Red Rocks suggested the app was available to those above Row 40 — it’s as simple as that. Mixhalo is an optional enhancement to the fan experience; for those interested, it provides sound directly from the mix booth and soundboard to fans’ ears. At some shows, audiophiles can even tune in individual instruments, such as a lead guitar.”
Bands like Umphrey’s McGee have been doing that kind of thing for years. It has absolutely nothing to do with sound levels.
And no, they didn’t “drastically reduce bass and noise levels,” they limited the max decibels for periods of time. Here is one of the rules:
“Sound pressure level shall not exceed 108.0 dBA for 1-minute averages. The Leq (equivalent continuous noise level) sound pressure levels shall not exceed 123.0 dB bands for 1-minute averages. A Sound Pressure Level (SPL) monitoring system, provided by the City and County of Denver, will be located at the front of house mix position to provide sound engineers with real time data to help them manage the their sound levels. If the limit is exceeded three times, the City of Denver reserves the right to charge $10,000 (and another $10,000 if it's exceeded another three times).”
What I've heard from several people that have experienced both is that RR has better acoustics (which makes sense based on the terrain) but that Gorge is a phenomenal experience because you can camp there.
Wow that looks amazing.
Just watch out for rattlesnakes after the show
not something you need to worry about
But can she do it drunk on mushrooms while string cheese jams. Then she on my level.
A super wasted chick grabbed me and pulled me down with her in an attempt to stop herself from falling down these exact steps. I kind of dove in an attempt to avoid crushing some hippies sitting on a blanket on the row below but took them out anyway. And the people in the row below them as well. If I wasn’t tripping my balls off I like to think I would have reacted a little more gracefully. Still have a scar on my hand.
Haha that’s a great RR story. Hippies and mushrooms, man
Made me think of my grandkids when they see nana and me, yea I’m a rockstar to someone
Aww this is the cutest thing.
That's how every Widespread Panic fan looks like running to their spots at Red Rocks.
[Running of the Tarps](https://youtu.be/iYOSeobjZ8s)
Now do it the other way
my knees hurt just watching this
I could get down faster.. I'd just be eating out of a tube for the rest of my natural life
I can definitely envision my teeth getting knocked out when I eat that concrete.
Is that red rock amphitheatre?
When you gotta go, you gotta go
Ehh really person runs down stairs and that amazes people ?
(͡•_ ͡• )
When he says he has a 800 credit score
Shit, I have an 825 credit score and haven’t had a full time job in 3 years. Nobody’s beating a path to my door… I must be unattractive.
Not really, she’s running downhill. Her balance is amazing though.
I’d r/beamazed if she was doing that uphill.
Here is your gif!

She doesn't look fast
Be Amazed: Girl uses legs!!!
You want shin splints? This is how you get shin splints.
This just gives me major anxiety one misstep and its game over
She was obviously amazing but it always surprises me how small the difference is between a video ending up on r/BeAmazed OR r/WinStupidPrizes 🤷♂️
Not impressed unless going up just as fast. Boo
Ugh my knees would be coming for revenge the next day
I got high for the first time here.
I've been scrolling for this comment.
There's always someone like her at Red Rocks. But it's gets a little bit worse when it's packed in there and they're right behind you
Basically falling with style
That’s a high consequence fall.
Are they the darude sandstorm steps
I mean. "Fast", or "falling with style?"
I believe the toilet is there
I would eat shit in the second step
Gotta be careful when you have Taco Bell for lunch… make sure a bathroom isn’t too far away
Now go up
Saw a great imagine dragons concert there once. Awesome amphitheater.
Red rocks colorado
She a runner, she a trackstar
So… what’s amazing?
I know right. Who hasn’t run down stairs in their youth
Exactly. I could literally do it faster.. what gives?
I'm actually not all that impressed by this. You can see her body is mostly hitting brakes.
As long as your stride can fit the stair length, it wouldn't be that difficult to do that with a little practice.
If she went that fast on the way up, my mind would be blown lol.
This was easy. I could still run like that down staircases
Isn’t it all downhill? Looked pretty slow after she ran on flat land at the end
That made my knees hurt
All I could think of is how swollen my knees would be if I tried that now. In my twenties? Sure. Thirties? Ballon knees
That's reckless and dangerous...
Me when my gf says she wants a baby.
That's cool and all but do you know how much beer I've drank in that amphitheater? Yeah that's all I got...
That's so bad for the knees!
It is. But shit happens when you are young
Goodness. Glad she didn’t trip.
Lol those are so big irl. Not impressive at all unless she’s on lsd for a daytime yoga or movie on the rocks.
Shit annoying af when these ppl do that
When you gotta go you gotta go
Knees of steel!
Not for long
What's this place?
Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado. Debatably the best music venue in the world
No need for debate, it’s the winner
I grew up in Lakewood, and there was a large open space between my house and the front range. I could see Red Rocks from my back porch, and binoculars allowed me to see the lasers shooting onto the rocks during the shows.
Definitely one of the cooler parts of my childhood!
(also I could hear the rocket cars from Bandimere Speedway at my place, those things are loud!)
Yeah, I was trying to cover my tracks but I definitely think it’s the best. Just completely unique. Living less than an hour away is a nice perk haha
I’m all the way down in stupid Colorado Springs. Lame here but lots of very cool places within a couple hours drive
She had to poop.
"No, deer run too fast."
When you gotta go, you gotta go! 🚽
Where is this?
Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO just outside of Denver. Best venue in the world. I live 15 mins from this and hike near here often. It’s a cool place just to hang out too.
Me too! Like 15 min away. West side is the best side
And I get brutally winded going up 1 flight of stairs.
When ya gotta go, ya gotta go.
I thought of the rocky theme in a minor key
I tried running down red rocks amphitheater too
Rolled my ankle
Who pushed her?
