what happens when you let your kid drive the e36m3
By - Music-Guilty
Hey OP if you’re reading this I crashed a car into someone’s house being an idiot teenager ten years ago. I was extremely lucky to not hurt anyone or myself. When shit hits the fan like this please be there for your kid like my parents were for me. I fucked up and I knew it. all my dad said was “now you’ve done it” but in the end that was it it was a really messy situation and I deserved a lot worse than I got (had to go to court) but it meant a lot having my parents with me knowing they were there. I turned out better than okay. It was a big turning point for me to get my shit together and grow up. I had 50k in damages I had to pay off, had no license for 2 years and I would do work at the persons house I crashed into (I’m a tradesman). Good people make really shitty decisions sometimes. People fuck up worse than others. If anything I’m a lot more forgiving or understanding of big mistakes others make now. Hopefully your son means more to you than the car did
Same here. I Wrecked my father s new BMW in a car accident. It was the worst feeling ever
yup, i let my friend drive my m340i and he totaled it back in may. Serves as a big lesson to show cars are like lending money. never expect it back if you give it to someone. youre better off not letting them.
Exactly, and if you are a good person that’s great. It’s shows a lot about your character to trust people with your prized possessions. I’ve let my friend drive my car around with me in the passenger and do pulls, but I’m yet to let anyone, but my dad take it to the twisty roads on the canyons, just gotta know your limit.
Sell the child and buy a new m3 for yourself
Hope you child is fine.
That said, in the case that he is all well read this: I'd recommend (very) late abortion.
Fine from the accident or OP
Holy molee. I hope everyone involved made it out ok
RIP, hope you boy is fine brotha
Put it in some rice and it’ll be fine
I'm gonna go and hug my E36, and not have kids...
A good commercial for birth control
better than condoms commercials...
M4 GTS while they're at it
Yet another reason I'm not having kids. Hope he's not too badly hurt.
That is an expensive lesson, sorry.
Hopes he’s okay so you can whoop his ass lol. Damn that hurts
I mean it sounds like the kid wasn’t mature enough to drive the car. That’s on you the parent to know your kid well enough to not let them drive performance cars if they aren’t developed enough to not make poor decisions (unless it wasn’t and it was a truest freak accident (deer/person in road, whatever).
I really hope they’re ok and they didn’t cause injury to anyone else. Take care.
Frame rails are toast
Cars can be replaced kids can’t hope they re okay
Seems like kids are a little *too* easy to make
Not some cars.
Damn sorry bro. Glad my kids aren't that old yet. Not looking forward to it lol
ffffffffffffff damn. that will buff right out, no?
I really was gonna post that hahahaha
sure thats an actual m3? the intake looks like a 328, not m3 plenum style? either way, sucks big time.
Worked with a guy that had both an e36 and e46, m3. He was such a proud BMW owner, until he lost his son in an racing accident. A very bitter and sad person he became.
I drove an E34 M5 all throughout my teenage/young adult years and never crashed it or harmed it. My mother - the owner at the time - knew my skill level and capability as a driver.
Unfortunately it seems like your son wasn't ready for that level of responsibility.
Lucky guy. I would kill to own that car in my 20s rn. My dream car. You’re moms a G for that, car must’ve been very capable for her to trust you as well.
Thanks man! Owning that car now is like having a high class escort for a girlfriend lol.
Very fun to take out on the weekends even if she's high mileage and needs some TLC. You know you're in for some financial craziness eventually, but hey that's all part of the game so enjoy the fuckin' ride.
Nah in all seriousness, my mother is an absolute unit and a goddamn national treasure. It also helped that I had an E30 and mainly driven manuals my life.
I feel you. I own a 335i with a bit of stupid leaks every now and then, but I love it😂 I just saw your car has over 300k and thats just awesome. Those S38s are tanks. Sure you’re in for some “Financial burdens” eventually, but at 300k miles that would be my baby, literally it doesn’t matter anymore at that point. A car that makes it that long in great running condition, i just trust it😂 coming from a guy who owns a 325k mile Acura TL as my daily beater, sure it’s a Acura, but shit it doesn’t die. I hope to keep the 335i under 100k for a few years, but Ik I drive it a lot, it’s at 73k rn.
Hope he’s alright
Well this one’s on you. Hope he is okay.
I’d disown them. :(
E36 316i was a better choice..
I would no longer have a kid
That’s some prime r/KidsAreFuckingStupid material right there. Condolences on your loss.
I had an e36m at 16, still kinda surprised I never wrecked it
Couldn’t imagine the phone call you got. When I got tboned in my Moms car a few years ago I had to clue how to even speak of what had happened. Wish you guys the best in the coming times.
Looks like he was trying to remove the grill. /s
*It'll buff out*
This should be an ad for Trojan
That's a paddlin'
I crashed my moms Mercedes E430 when I was 20, looking back... I don’t regret it. If it was a BMW, I would still be apologizing til this day. Hope your kid is ok!!!
No worries, its just an E36. Noting to be too mad about.
U smokin crack
The only good looking classic M3 is the E30
Youre saying all the wrong things 😂
Wrong title : It's an BMW M not an E63
No more college fund for that kid lol
My first car was rwd and no worries, first car that i drive with fwd i get out from road... ice, still drive fwd and dream for rwd, but there are no many cheap left at all, shit happens. Important to learn from mistakes and inhope the kids is ok.
M3 is a beast
