You've already had some good answers, but I'll throw in my $0.02. It depends on the kind of relationship you have! And it doesn't necessarily need to be a name common in the community. I have a service-based D/s relationship, heavy on the corporal punishment. We're both quite switchy, and I tend to be a brat, but generally speaking I'm referred to as boy/pet, and if we're in the moment, whore/slut/some queer slurs. But in addition to that there are more personal names I'm called, which tbh put me more in a subby mood than being called whore etc. "Red" is one. "Spatz" (Dom is German; means "sparrow") is another. Have you asked your sub what he really likes? Sometimes it's worth trying out some things in the moment! You don't really know how something will fit until you try it, I think. That's how "Spatz" came about.

Have him make a list of names he would like to be called; ones that will help put in whatever mood that is fitting for his role. Also have him make a list of things he definitely doesn't want to be called. Then see if there is any overlaps that turn you both on.

Depends on the type of d/s relationship.. Prince, little one, baby boy. Cub, Wolfie πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ Idk if this helps.. I'm a female sub sooo I'm sorry

Baby boy and cub is cute... thanks!

You're welcome! My was a switch, so I'd be his little friend and I'd call him cub or Wolfie πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ. I'm a slave/pet type sub so πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Ahh.. that makes sense. What’s a switch? I could play with the names to come up with something πŸ‘

A switch is someone who is Dom and sub

Thank you!

I like to start off with Pet before finding something more personal. The other suggestions here are great too.

Hey if you're new to domming, I highly recommend the book The New Topping Book by Dossie Easton. It's like the textbook for people who want to go from beginner to intermediate in a short amount of time. In it you'll find tips like what groundrules to set to keep you and your sub safe, what questions to ask to get the info you need, how to plan scenes and aftercare, and of course, tons of tips and ideas for stuff like names to call them, tasks to give them, etc. I can't recommend it enough. You can also assign its counterpart, The New Bottoming Book, to your sub, to give them strategies to be the best sub they can be.

pup. boy, toy, cub. kajiri. thrall. manwhore. worshipper.
