You would be correct to assume that, however, you look like you’re a few weeks away from chop, and you ideally want to cut N two weeks into flower. So this yellowing you’re seeing is most likely a deficiency, but this is the only time it’s a ‘good’ one

Is that not early flower? Reason im asking is that im in a similar situation but i gave a mini flush.

HomeGrownRichard

Yes that would be the early flower stage. too much N can trick the plant back into the veg stage, or stunt your flowering, that’s why it’s good practise to keep feeding N for those two weeks so it has enough to carry it through but you will see signs of a deficiency. A flush is never a bad idea, not necessarily needed, but now you have blank slate to finish off your flowering (add a touch of N to your next feeding so it has some because you flushed, but don’t add to any subsequent feeding)

Also awesome info - thanks! Once flowering has kicked in, do you expect the tips of the leave to go back to green? Or will they stay like that? Just on my 3rd grow and haven’t run into this yet. So this info is super helpful!

No, they should keep that yellowish tinge if not get more of it. If it goes back to green, your plant is getting some extras of something. Now this whole cutting N thing is just something I was taught years ago, you will be COMPLETELY FINE if you don’t do it, I just found it helped with the taste of the finished product and helped me with timing my chops.

Awesome info, thanks so much!
