Why should the news media be forced to give trump fair coverage after he tried to establish himself as dictator of america

1. The media doesn't have to give him fair coverage. The US media is free and can report pretty much however the hell it wants to. No one is requiring them to give Trump fair coverage. 2. I guess I'd dispute your premise. Trump had ample opportunities to establish himself as a dictator, especially with Covid, and then just never did. He never assumed emergency powers. Never tried to delay the election. And as far as we know at this time, he didn't directly order his mob to attack congress on the 6th. (Though I'm sure he was happy when if happened) it's also rather unclear how that mob would have made Trump dictator anyways. Like even if they had slaughtered every member of Congress it's not like Joe Biden and his incoming admistration were going to be like "fuck. Pence never said the magical words. Guess Trump gets to rule for life now." And at the civil servant level (below trumps political appointees) the federal government never was confused about who won the election. The secret service was providing Biden with presidential level security even before the networks called the election for him, as an example. Trump likes winning elections. Because he's a deranged naraccist who needs to be adored. That's why he can't comprehend that he lost the election. However he's never particularly cared to govern, which means it's not too surprising he never seriously tried to become a dictator. He didn't want to rule for life. He wanted to win elections for life. Subtle but important difference.

What does this even mean? what are you trying to say?

Electronic_Bee_8248

Im saying, trump and the Republicans whine about liberal bias in the media, so why should the media give trump snd the Republicans equal and non critical coverage.

Sion_nois06

Because almost half the population voted for him, and he was the president.

Electronic_Bee_8248

That still isn't a good reason because that small half tried to stop the majority from choosing the next president by force and to establish a dictatorship.

Sion_nois06

74 million people isn’t nothing, you shouldn’t just ignore them because they did something bad.

Electronic_Bee_8248

Yes we can just like fox news can ignore liberals, well we can ignore them.

Sion_nois06

Whataboutism, there both bad.

Electronic_Bee_8248

You are the one bringin in whataboutism.

Sion_nois06

You said “yes we can just like Fox News”

Electronic_Bee_8248

I watch fox news and not once have I seen a dissenting voice.

Sion_nois06

Yep, they’re also bad.

Electronic_Bee_8248

I have every right to be critical of the 74 million that tried to overthrow the democracy they claim to love and protect.

Sion_nois06

Yeah, good for you, that’s your opinion, but you aren’t a national news source.

Electronic_Bee_8248

Again, take your advice, your opinion is not fact.

Electronic_Bee_8248

So you are saying that if you are ignored then you will shoot up the place for us refusing to hear you.

Electronic_Bee_8248

Last time I checked, Democrats and liberals not once tried to forcfully stop a conservative from taking power and yet one republican guy looses and conservatives loose their head because the majority of the us are sick of their ranting and raving of how they are being rightly ignored for their extreme xenophobic religious beliefs.

Sion_nois06

Again, it doesn’t matter how bad they were, you shouldn’t pretend 74 million people are nothing.

Electronic_Bee_8248

Again, yes it does matter how bad they were, they pretended we were nothing for 4 years trunp was in office and mocked us and lynched us so they are getting what they at least deserved and that is ignored.

Sion_nois06

We live in a democracy where everyone’s vote is equal.

Electronic_Bee_8248

The coup attempt in washington dc is proof that those 74 million dont agree with your statement.
