Shed your skin and develop a new one.

An actual tan? Just gotta wait it out. Spray tan? Exfoliate.

nevertruly

Let it fade, exfoliate to try to make it fade faster, even it out by tanning, or even it out by using self tanner.

The thing is, I’m trying to make my skin lighter. My skin was just right and then I got sunburned at a car wash which turned into a tan and then I got more tan lines at the football games I danced at

nevertruly

You've got the same options I already listed regardless.

Exfoliate like crazy

Wait for it to go away. Who cares?

If there's a Korean bathhouse around, the scrub treatment might do it. I know that I lost a tan to one years ago, though my skin felt like a newborn's afterward.

You can't really just remove them, they'll fade over time as those layers of skin are replaced. The only thing you can do is try to speed that up a bit. Use a good exfoliater to help get rid of the dead layers that are still hanging on.

Winter always works for me :)

Tan nude and then you won’t have any tan lines

BeautyInTheBriefs

If you get a self tanner you can “blend” them. Depends on how bad and what color you tan, though.

I've had bad tan lines that lasted years. The only thing that helped was trying to slowly tan them away, but even that didn't fully get rid of them.
