I don't think they always lie. For example: My ID card used to say I am 161cm (F) but I am actually 165... I did not grow in that time. The person who measured it was just stupid. 🤡 This is a common thing in, Germany at least, to have a wrong height in your ID haha

I’m a 187cm (6’2) woman and the amount of times guys shorter than me say that I must be 6’3 or 6’4 because they’re claiming to be taller than they are is ridiculous. Then on the flip side about a month ago I had multiple tall guys (family and friends I’ve known forever) INSIST I could only be 6’0/1 and it went on for half an hour until they concluded that wow, maybe I am right about my own height. People are so fucking weird about height!!

6'4" (very) high five. At 43 years old every bone in my body cracks when I stand up, my knees hurt all the time and I hit my head on every thing. On the plus side though.... I have 3 kids and a happy marriage I probably wouldn't have if I was a foot shorter because god knows I have bugger all else going for me other than my height.

I haven't, but recently (3 months ago) I decided to: Come off anti-depressant; I'd been on them for about 15 years and was in a real rut of really flat responses to everything, no motivation etc so thought I'd try life unmedicated. That gave me a kick of energy which I put into my health. I started doing couch to 5k and at the same time started doing moderate weight lifting (deadlifting / squatting 70KG). Because of my knees I'm doing the 'running' on a cross trainer and I built a little squat rack in my office so I can do it all at home and I've seen decent results over the last few months. This week I also started intermittent fasting, doing 14/10 which I know isn't huge but it cuts put the couple of hours in the evening when I used to snack on shite. TL;DR: I didn't, but I'm putting effort into getting in shape now.

People always think height is a good thing. The truth is height of 5'7 for a man is said to be the perfect height to live a long life without suffering from things like joint pain/bone issues like soreness as you grow older. You're not far off, so if you have no bad ailments in your family tree you most likely feel good while the taller people will feel like shit as they age.
