When you say Monarchs in the US, do you mean when the US were colonies under British ruled or do you mean president families (like the Clinton or bush's)?
I can't really tell who was the Great born in Turkey
Iran has lots of Greats makes sense they had a decent amout of competent monarchs
I feel like some of the Greats of Armenia would have their birthplace in Turkey. I might be wrong though
In Sudan, we don’t have monarchs titled “the Great” because “The Great Bull Who Tramples His Enemies Beneath His Sandals” and “The One Who is Made Victorious By His Own Great Sword and Crushing Mace” are simply better.
The Handbook of Napatan-Meroitic civilisation is also a must read for those interested in understanding the Kingdom of Kush, which was really the only truly ancient east African state anyway, it predates Aksum by nearly three millennia and the Somalis even longer still.
If you don’t want to read a book, my post history is all Sudanese art history or architecture and is more digestible and includes both the ancient and medieval Sudanese periods.
Surprisingly, I also came across a very high quality and extensive [thread](https://wildfiregames.com/forum/topic/21602-the-kingdom-of-kush-a-proper-introduction-illustrated/) that is well sourced and does a good job of compiling the information, if you want something less dense than a book but still informative.
>only truly ancient east African state anyway
Ummm. I have a feeling that you are missing another ancient east African state maybe a little bit to your north?
They’re not really “pyramids” per se, it would be more accurate to call them pyramid shaped funerary chapels as their purpose and design differs from their counterparts in Egypt.
Iran number uno #1 👆

Thats a mouthful, “The Great Bull” alone is unique enough.
It rolls off the tongue much better in Meroitic, no doubt.
I'm much interested with East African history in general. Please give some resources.

I don’t count Egypt as east and neither does any other sane person, it’s North African.
Oh that explains it. Do you know that kush built more pyramids than us?

I didn't know that. Can you recommend me a youtube channel, article, or a book that discusses the differences between both civilizations?
