The watch is a 44mm SE, and I have had a Zagg glass screen protector on it for the past 2 weeks and fallen in love with how they look and feel, very unobtrusive. This looks a little militant but I like it a lot and it’ll probably become my go-to strap. Also UAG has damn good customer service! The first one of these got lost in the post but they set me up with a replacement super quick

I cut it off lmao, I am not paying uag to advertise for them, and I don’t have any outside pics but I can just go grab a couple and DM you lol Edit: The only thing I dislike is the bit of wiggle room between the strap and the top lug, so I got a close up of that. It isn’t going anywhere, but it just feels a lil sketchy. Other than that I’m a happy camper. I also cut the strap because I didn’t like it just hanging out so far

a tip I posted on another thread: https://reddit.com/r/AppleWatch/comments/r6huzx/husband_got_me_a_aw_series_7_45mm_midnight_sooo/hmt4459

Oh dude, I don’t need all that Infograph stuff. I like it simple, just “here’s the high-low-current” and my 3 apps I use constantly lol. Thanks though!

hotelyankee

not infograph. infograph modular. it's the face you have now but upgraded with one more slot, modern complications, and it's larger with much less wasted screen space. the face you have on now was made for older, smaller watch screens. I wanted you to be able to take advantage of having the SE.

I just poked around in Infograph modular and that’s kind of everything I don’t want. That “wasted space” means my eye can easily grab the info I need without all the clutter. Like, I don’t want the chance of rain over the next 5 hours available at a glance lol. Also the colors are nonexistent on that face. Replicating my setup, only the date and temp were taking on system colors, and I like being able to change the whole face’s colors, especially the app icons. I appreciate the advice, but I am vibing like this ☺️

hotelyankee

I'm all for using what you like. funny though that I get 60 upvotes for offering the same advice on another thread, but a bunch of asshats downvote the same info in this thread.

This sub is weird man, I feel like I’ve already got the hang of this watch and my setup and I don’t really have any desire to post or engage here, but some people have been talking about these for like, what, 6-7 years? I don’t understand at all

Why is this called a NATO strap?

hotelyankee

I was gonna type out a long description but decided to cut and paste from a site. the tl;dr is that they originated with the British Military and were popularized by James Bond. >The NATO watch strap is a single piece of material that slips between the watch face’s lugs, under the caseback, doubling back on itself, and secures by way of a buckle closure. Because of the “caseback double-back,” the watch stays centered and secure on the wrist. Even if one of the lugs were to fail, the watch would remain on the band. The end of the strap is left intentionally long, giving you the ability to fold that back on itself and doubling the band’s on-wrist security. obviously a true NATO wouldn't work on an Apple Watch, because the band would cover the sensors. but there many like OP's that replicate the look of a NATO strap.

Thanks for the explanation!! It looks cool :)

Just the styling I think. It feels vaguely military, but super light bc it’s just nylon and aluminum
