Alex Grant - now of Jadecove, ex Lilac (yes of LKE partnership) has a stack of research/info re: DLE. There was a better article about it - the illustrious u/jswyft may grace us with some enlightenment. Meanwhile - podcast from 2020 with alex where he points out that DLE is not new: https://www.mineralsmanhattanproject.com/948238/3475627

Good podcast for a long drive!

Interesting to see LKE just dropped an announcement surrounding a strategic investment + offtake for their Kachi DLE project

Crackersnuf

I’m sure they’ll get it off the ground eventually, but I have no doubts that there will be further delays.. Regarding the offtake… AVZ also have offtakes signed

The Berkshire program is subtly different to the others in the salton sea because they’re existing geothermal power plants onto which they are bolting on their lithium extraction model. Others in that area are purpose building, designing from the ground up as they aren’t operating geos yet. I Always thought Berkshire was setup for success compared to the others as they were already accessing the brine, but maybe equipment age and their bolt on approach is a part of the problem

ankole_watusi

Have they heard of stainless steel?

Itwasatrip

You should probably give them a call, someone on HC will have the direct number.

Icy_Chain2075

It has been proven to be structurally sound against jet fuel. Otherwise, Nippon steel is glorious.

spudmechanic

For pipe work maybe, but not for valve and pump internals

Looking for proven mobile/module DLE technology? International Battery Metals [www.ibatterymetals.com](https://www.ibatterymetals.com) @metals\_battery #Lithium Discord to get the full picture: [https://discord.gg/cnCMVJrhvc](https://discord.gg/cnCMVJrhvc) [https://www.innovationnewsnetwork.com/accelerating-lithium-development-through-dle-compatible-brines/27227/](https://www.innovationnewsnetwork.com/accelerating-lithium-development-through-dle-compatible-brines/27227/)

“Proven technology” is very different to “proven in a test”. There’s no proven commercial DLE miner operating at scale. The article above, was proven tech too, until they couldn’t manage the corrosion.

This is past the testing phase, they have run continuous brine though the plant and produced a high % of lithium, read these articles: 1.
