My landlord didn't want to renew our lease after 1 year. Fantastic spot and our rent is pretty low. They didn't give a reason. Do you think we'll have a decent chance if we offer to renegotiate our rent? Or is there something else going on? We never got any complaints. Feels like instos playing games to me and I want to back up the truck.

My saving grace is I started renting my current place 5-6 years ago at the bottom of the cycle. And even with 20% raised over the last 2 years I’m still well below the suburb average. Finding a new place really sucks with these current prices

That happened to me 12 months ago. Owner was not legally able to increase our rent due to covid amnesty. So they figured they would just not renew our lease and they then put it back out on the rental market. We even offered to pay more. Bunch of assholes. Probably not identical circumstances to you but tenants getting screwed over is fairly common.

I have a fair bit of AKE now so when that goes 3% down at these prices I lose $10k immediately. My personal record is $103,000 down in a single day, after the Goldman Sachs lithium report came out earlier this year. Exciting times.

Last night i noticed in the US markets that lithium stocks done well Albermarle closed green Lithium Americas was green but closed 0.19% red Livent was green but closed 0.06% red ​ In comparison to the rest of the US market, seemed very promising for Lithium ​ Suprisingly today all ASX Lithium stocks i checked were red, other than GL1 (ASN too, but it had a positive announcement) Edit: CRR too! I've read research a few years ago that teams operate best when there's a mix of genders, optimally at 50-50. From my own experience, that holds absolutely true.

I did some fairly in-depth study many years ago for one of my units in the psychology of business development and leadership. There are a-lot of studies out there, Peterson institute for economics, Mckinsey, loads of university studies etc.. If I remember correctly, there is about a 30%(?) chance that management teams with greater gender diversity will outperform those that don't. I do remember some oddities in the data, like the optimum gender mix was something like 65/35 male to female and it declined a fair bit at 50/50, then rose again at 70/30 female to male, but not quite as high as the same ratio mix the other way, but overwhelmingly the point was that mixed genders produced better results across the metrics measured. ​ Thanks for attending my TED talk.
